Good Points: Love it--works for me--cleared my complexion and skin is smooth and soft

    Bad Points: It is pricey

General comments: I am Asian, live in NYC, and 29 yrs old. For the most part I don't have many lines but always look to prevent them if I can. Even though I'm in my late 20s, my face was still breaking out (we are talking ugly white heads, not just pimples). I went to get a facial every month for 10 months and it helped, but I was still breaking out on occassion. About 3 months ago (Oct 08) I decided to try SK II hydrating mask. Since then, my face has never looked better! I don't know if it's because my hormones have finally died down and I no longer break out, but my skin looks glowy in pictures and my face has never felt more clear (unclogged) and smooth. Even my facialist notices the difference, and I don't think I need to go back to her anymore. I don't use the masks that much as they are expensive. Maybe one every 2 wks or so, 3 if I don't think it's necessary. I either put it on right after a shower or to go to sleep in. I wipe off any excess from the mask when I'm done with it on my neck. For about a wk later, I swipe out any remaining residue in the packet and put on before bed. It's pretty concentrated, so a small wipe every day from the packet can last up to a week for me. I honestly think this has worked for me, I have had skin issues for years and my face/complexion has really been so much better. It is expensive tho, try to get as much as it as you can! I get mine in America from Saks, but Bloomingdales carries it too. Sometimes they have store wide sales (ie 10% off cosmetics) so thats when I would get it but they don't happen so often...

I find this mask fantastic after a long flight or before a special occassion. I leave it on for as long as possible and squeeze out any excess to smooth over my neck. After I wash it off my skin feels very hydrated and plump. I haven't noticed any significant effects as far as whitening goes but it definitely adds alot of moisture to your skin.

After removing this mask and after wiping it off my skin, it was soft and shiny....but that was it. I expected dewy, smooth, taut....or something. After about 15 minutes, I still didn't see much of an improvement. SK-II Facial Treatment Mask is a waste. I can't believe how expensive this stuff is. What a let down!

SK-II Facial Treatment Mask claims to have the so-called 'pitera essence' that makes skin smooth, soft and radiant, but in fact, it smells of alcohol and feels very sticky. Once I put it onto the face it just feels wet, and in some way it was soothing. After 10 minutes I took it off, and admittedly my skin did feel moisturised and soft. However, because it absorbs quickly and it isn't greasy, the moisture disappears in less than half an hour!

I'm told that you can use the essence left on the ...

SK-II Facial Treatment Mask - This is a product that I will not miss every week. The product comes in a box of six packs, and it's intended to be used weekly. It's a Japanese brand and made in Japan, hence the quality is undoubted. It's reported that celebs use this brand and it's creating a near-cult in Asia.

The mask is drenched with 30 ml of Pitera, a substance that renews the skin's cells. Our skin cells are supposed to renew themselves every 28 days, but because we now live in polluted e ...
