I had tried many different email companies before I finally felt comfortable, with Postmaster. I get no junkmail, I have been using Postmaster for all my emails for about 3 years perhaps and never really had a complaint. There have been unscheduled downtimes lasting up to (as far as I know) 24 hours quite frequently during the years but that's not bad enough to make me want to leave Postmaster for some commercial domain like Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, etc.
HOWEVER, now I'm soooo angry and frustrated!!! Postmaster has been completely down for perhaps a week or so. Without any sign of the service ever coming back again. I feel so stupid for trusting Postmaster with my email...
I sure hope they are back online and in full service soon, and with an extremely good explaination. I MISS POSTMASTER

E-mails are my lifeline-professionally, socially, even for leisure purposes so I decided to use Postmaster (www.postmaster.co.uk). I have previously been hooked to Hotmail and Yahoo, but I was not too appreciative of these sites even though they offered free email service. The reason was spam and junk mail that I had to regularly delete from my mailbox. Once while searching Google I came across postmaster.co.uk, which claimed to offer free email without any spam and junk mail. I was not too convinced but thought of giving it a try. To my surprise postmaster.co.uk was a no fancy-no-frill website. Its appearance was cool, simple and direct. It offered free email facility that too without any spam. All that I did registered my username and password. Registration was quick as I didn't have to wait for confirmation and activation as is the case with other websites. Once confirmed, all I had to was to just log in. I had two different packages namely Bronze and Gold. Bronze package is free with huge space of 1000 MB. It also offered options like address book, egreetings, efriends etc. I found that the anti-virus and anti-spam features were equally effective which saved my time deleting the junk in my mailbox. So, now my loyalty has shifted and I am hooked to postmaster.

I migrated from Postmaster last year (2005) but keep check on my old account just to make sure my address book knows where I am. I estimate that I logged on to Postmaster, maybe 15 times this year. Out of those 15 times, Postmaster has been down twice.
I migrated to Gmail and logon at least once a day on average over a 12 month period. I have never experienced the Gmail servers to be down.
OK, Google is a major world corp and has the $ backing to cope with millions of logon requests/day. Postmaster has to cope with thousands, maybe 10's of thousands of logons/day - i.e. a half decent desktop could cope.
Postmaster has quite a nice front end now, but the back end still sucks.
Please please please don't rely on Postmaster if you want a reliable email service. Use it as a secondary email address at best.
