    Good Points: Comfort, performance, reliability, running costs; everything, really.


    Bad Points: None. The 'bland' styling is a welcome relief from the hideously ugly lumps we see everywhere.


    General comments: i needed a car which would commute economically and reliably, and in its spare time tow a medium sized 4 berth caravan. This cuts the choice down to diesel, more kerbweight than a family saloon, and comfort and adaptability for holidays. The Volkswagen Touran SE 2.0 TDI DSG was the only choice which ticked all the boxes, AND can be got in & out of without banging heads or twisting backs. After 80K trouble free commuting & touring, I know it was the right choice.

    After a few weeks with this Volkswagen Touran SE 2.0 TDI DSG People Carrier, I'm starting to wonder how I ever lived without it. The 2.0 TDI SE (manual, 6-speed) accelerates with plenty of pull, cruises comfortably at motorway speeds, and is very comfortable for long hauls. I've never owned a VW before, but this one is well put together, and is so smooth it drives itself. I can't imagine a better family car; it is spacious, has two extra pull-up seats for kids in the boot, and has been giving me ...

    So far I've owned my Volkswagen Touran SE 2.0 TDI DSG People Carrier for only 6 weeks, but have become very impressed with it. It is one of those cars that at first you're not sure that you've done the right thing by buying it. But, as time goes on you appreciate it's qualities more and more.

    This is the first diesel car I have owned, and other than at idle and when filling up it's difficult to tell any difference to a petrol engine, except of course for the huge difference in fuel consumptio ...
