I have had the Justissimo for over two years. I do around 10,000 km per year including touring and commuting. The Helmet is well made, and solid. After so much use nothing has come off and its paint is in as new condition nearly despite the many knocks. The internal visor is very useful, however, it can do with being and extra shade darker. If the sun is low and in front of me, I start looking for the visor to lower it, only to realise it is already lowered. The big negative on this helmet... (read more)

Bought two last year and have now given up on them and gone for Shoei Multitechs - both sun visors stick in the up and down position, top vent on one of them had to be replaced as it rattled like mad, even then the noise level is horrendous, especially with a side-wind - spend the extra money on a Shoei Multitech - you get what you pay for! Sold them on to moped riders for £20 each. (read more)

Have had this helmet for a couple of years now and have probably ridden in excess of 18K miles wearing it, last summer wore it on a trip accross Europe to the Black Sea coast 1800 plus miles over 3 and a half days I even rode with the front up for long periods of time without any discomfort, this is a very comfortable helmet, it did slacken off a bit a few hundred miles after I bought it but reading reviews i knew this before hand and bought a size smaller to start with, it does fog up a bit... This is the worst Helmet I have bought to date. When I took it out the box I thought what a nice looking, well made lid, but I couldnt of been any more wrong. The wind noise from this helmet is so bad. It's because of the flip up design of the helmet. Where you have the hinge mechanism on the sides of the helmet it has small grooves there to allow the front to flip up. Well once the wind hits these grooves the noise starts and I mean noise. Its not just at high speeds either, It basically... (read more)

I have been riding motorcycles now for nearly 15 years. In my time i have had around 10 different helmets and i mist say this is the best helmet i have used to date. Comfort is lacking a bit from perfection but practicality, safety and fitments are where this helmet exceeds.
I was on a 50-60 mile ride and the only problem i had was i put it on way to tight which made it slightly uncomfortable but still felt like i was safe. I highly recommend this helmet to any motorcyclist. I got mine...

I used one of the Caberg Justissimo GTs for 2.5 years - I survived a crash with no damage to head or neck, so it obviously fulfils the primary objective.
As for day to day use - I do about 18,000 miles a year - it compared favourably with BMW System 4 which it replaced - lighter, no noisier. The built in sun visor is very useful - I wouldn't have another lid without one now. Augmented with polarised sunglasses it even makes low, in your face, sun bearable (but still not safe!).
That being...

Everyone has a different head shape and mine doesn't fit too comfortably into the Justissimo, so I have a constant pressure across my cheekbones. Even with top grade earplugs in place I find it a very noisy helmet and, despite being well designed to accommodate intercom speakers, it is difficult to make out what is being said at any reasonable pace - i.e. above about 45 mph, because of the earplugs-v-noise issue. I now only use it for short, solo journeys.
Support from the distributors, when...

I absolutely love this helmet! It has been perfect ever since I purchased it just before summer from http://www.motorcycleclothingshop.co.uk - would recommend this shop too they have a great selection of kit, leathers, helmets and everything else you'd want. And they were really helpful towards me. I love Caberg products and always stick to them. (read more)

Had a Caberg Justissimo for nearly 2 1/2 years and it's been great.
The visor fogged up at first and I tried everything to stop the fogging. The only thing I found to do the job was a Fog City insert.
After about 2 years the chin bar started to become lose and will drop on its own (if you walk with a heavy foot).
The noise wasn't too bad (could be better).
I've just ordered the 'GT' with the bluetooth unit.

I bought the Caberg Justissimo GT last year . It is a comfortable helmet with a lot of features but , in all honesty , they really don't work very well. The visor seal design not only allows water to get through but guides it onto the back of the visor , the vents don't prevent misting and the cooling vent on top doesn't do anything either. I had not really noticed how noisy it was ( as I wear ear-defenders anyway) until I bought another helmet this year . The sun-visor is good though and... (read more)

Great fit, I have tried the more expensive styles and they just don't cut it. The Caeberg fits like a glove, on and off easy; the flip front great for warmer times, good for the gas station and when at lights for a long spell. All told, great value, will buy again and has kept it's condition for 3 years. I have the Trip, J1 plus and Justissimo. Slight wind noise, but this is easily dealt with - tube scarf and ear-plugs solves this. The anti-fog visor has let me down but just crack open the... (read more)

I bought two of the Caberg Justissimo helmets hoping to have found a 'helmet for life'. Tried the fit in the shop and found it to be very comfortable. However, after just two trips out with the wife I'm putting them both on ebay. Completely useless for rider passenger communication as the wind noise is unbearable.
Bottom line is you get what you pay for. This is an excellent 'economy' helmet, but I'm investing in something far lighter and with much less wind noise.

i tried many a helmet, and the Caberg Justissimo one fitted me snugly and comfortably. the internal sun visor is great, and gives good protection. also unlike some the sun visor nearly covers the full face area, so you get maximum protection.

When I got this helmet last year I thought it was great! however 4 months and 8,000 miles later its not as great.
The once incredibly tight fit now is very loose on my head which doesn't give me the greatest confidence in its ability to stay on if the worst happened!
Noise isn't too bad (for a flip front) with ear plugs and no worse than I would expect.
I personally have a major problem with the visor steaming up in any slightly damp/cold conditions, cracking the visor open a notch helps but...

Comfort is a personal thing as everyone's head is a different shape but I find this extremely comfortable. It has just received a 4 Star rating in the Government's Sharp tests - only the BMW System 5 and the cheaper Caberg Trip got a maximum 5 Stars at time of writing. This is a noisy helmet, I ride a naked bike and use an intercom with SatNav, music and VHF radio. I can't hear stuff above 60, sometimes less, which is a real pain. I've even gone for specialist ear plugs, this has helped, but not much! In heavy rain or spray, water finds its way down the inside of the visor unless its fully clicked shut all the time (not practicle in stop/start traffic) I've had to cut out spaces for the intercom ear pads, something I'm not happy about and would effect the... I agree with this review because...it is a quality item for the price even though it's noisey at speed; however, I'm puzzled to hear that yours doesn't have indents for earpieces in the moulded foam (behind the lining)! Mine has and I've successfully fitted an autocom headset without any difficulty. My helmet is getting a little old now and frayed around the edges so I'm looking to replace it soon. I'm considering buying a Nolan N-Com 103 Flipface with the built in comms next time but I need to check if it's compatible with my present autcom setup first. The Nolan now has the inner dark visor like the Caberg Justisimo and appears to be a little more robust all round but appearances can be deceptive! The difficulty will be in establishing if it is any quieter on the road?

I really like this helmet. The finish is much better than my more expensive Nolan. All the parts rotate smoothly and silently. The clear coat finish is thick and feels soft, like the gel keys on my phone. It fits much more snug around the sides than my other helmets and feels lighter when it's on, perhaps because it stays in place better. I like the rotating sun shade but it bothered me at first that it didn't come down another .5". After a couple rides though I got used to it. I think the... (read more)

I bought a Caberg Justissimo GT during the summer. The flip-up is perfect for nervous petrol station attendants and drive troughs. The built in tinted visor is perfect for sunshine. The helmet also provides a good snug and comfortable fit.
Unfortunately, this has to be the noisiest helmet ever. Even with my BMW screen fully up the wind noise is awful. If I even think about dropping the screen, the wind noise becomes unbearable. The helmet also seems to suffer from excessive buffeting....

You pay for what you get with the Caberg Justissimo. I've just returned from a 3000mile European tour and I found the helmet far too noisy at any sensible touring speed, i find the helmet has lost its tight fit on my head and I've owned maybe ten other helmets before this one so this comment isn't uninformed.

I wouldn't recommend this lid to anyone. This is my 12th crash helmet in the last 18 yrs and probably one of the worst where wind noise is concerned. Admittedly I've always owned expensive helmets, which this helmet isn't, so it does have value on its side. The helmet feels plastic-like and cheap and the joints feel easily breakable. Anyone looking at this helmet in the store will be able to tell this right off the bat anyway. Also the chin piece is too close to your face so intercom mics... (read more)

I must stay that my daily commute is never more than 45mins so when it has rained, I have not ridden more than that time. The Caberg Justissimo helmet was a huge disappointment. It cost €250 and it leaks water down the visor. This blinds you in the wet. It is also very noisy. Having said that - the built in sunglasses are very cool and I am sure the helmet is safe. I would NOT buy one again. (read more)

After comparing the Caberg Justissimo rubber seal to other helmets I've realised that a basic design flaw in the helmet is that the seal is, in some ways, upside down. Compared even to a cheap agv helmet I own, the 'v' in the seal catches any water running from the top of the lid towards the visor and runs it off to the sides. The Caberg has this upside down, no idea why, which means that if the visor isn't down and tight, water will get in. As it happens it gets in anyway.
Compare after...

I have had my Caberg Justissimo for two years now and have found it to be very good. The flip front is great as I wear glasses. I could not do without the internal sun visor. I read the reviews on here, but after all the negative coments on Caberg Justissimo regarding the road and wind noise I went ahead and bought one. I needed a helmet which I was not really afraid to get the odd knock, and just to get me to commute to work and back, and the Carberg seemed to fit the bill with the convienience of having a flip front helmet.

I agree with the other reviewers about this helmet being noisy. I normally wear ear plugs and wouldn't recommend going over 40 mph for any distance without them in this helmet. I love the flip up front and sun visor though. It's more like being outside than a full face helmet which is good around towns. The sun visor is a must have feature.
