In short; AVOID. I was lied to about the car they intended to initially supply, nearly ripped off with a poor quality car that went wrong the day of delivery, and it took them 4 months to cancel the credit agreement. It was a very distressing experience as I was left with a finance agreement totalling £23k for a car they never even supplied me.

I only went to Netcars as they assured me they could get me the finance I needed (all be it very expensive finance) and I had been refused elsewhere. I was after a car that was quite specific but they assured me that they would source a quality example once I'd paid them £125. I was very reluctant as it broke the golden rule of buying a car: never buy anything you haven't driven/seen yourself. But I was assured on many levels that they have a team of professionals who inspect the car fully before supplying anyting.

So after being told they had sourced a car and sending me pictures (which was a great spec, low mileage etc. etc.) I paid them their fee to proceed with it further. After investigating further I later realised that the pictures that they had sent were not relating to car that they intended to supply (I'm not sure they even had a car in mind at this time!). They had simply copied some pictures from the autotrader website from a mixture of two differnt cars and emailed them to me claiming it was one car- I had strong evidence that they didn't relate to the car they had now set up on a finance agreement! Following this I was then told that they refused this car on the basis that the paintwork was bad. The finance agreement was then instantly cancelled. Looking back now they were clearly using an example to get me to commit and pay the £125 deposit.

From there on they presented me with various examples which were the wrong spec and double the mileage of that of the first 'example'. Eventualy we agreed on a car but it took them weeks to take posession. Then when they finally got the car in, they wanted me to collect it without a log-book as they didn't have it. I refused to buy a car without receiving its log book so another week went past and they offered to drive it to me complete with log book. It seemed that after several weeks of suspicious circumstances/conversations I was to finally take delivery of the car. Then on the day of delivery the gearbox failed as they were driving it to me! They recovered it to a local garage near where I live who by coincidence I have used before. I spoke to the mechanic and his opinion of the car was that it was a very poor example and he explained clearly why; even recommending that it was a car to be avoided. After this I decided that Netcars was not a company I wanted to deal with anymore especially as I had been told from that start they they only deal in high quality cars. They promised me that they would find me another car but I felt I had nearly been ripped off with a bad quality car, so wanted my £125 back and the finance cancelled.

This is when things got worse. The DVLA had by now sent me the log book and after checking with the finance company, the finance had NOT been cancelled (despite them apparently being able do it instantly first time around!). So I was now in a position where I had a log book in my name for a car I never received, and finance on a car that I never bought. Netcars kept reassuring me that they were sending a cheque to clear the finance and they demandedI send them the log book back, and all the while the payments were due to start on a car I didn't have. This situation became very distressing as I had a £23k debt and no car to show for it, or even a log book. I kept calling the finance company who couldn't help as they had no payment from netcars to clear the finance and they couldn't do anything until they had received it. I kept calling Netcars back (including the owner) and eventually got my £125 back, but they just kept telling me they'd sent a cheque to clear the finance - i was being fobbed off. I spoke to the CAB and trading standards who sympathised but couldn't do much either other than help generate letters. I was stuck paying for a car I didn't have. I decided to cancel the payments for the car before they started and after three months of dealing very closely with the finance company the account went was so far in arrears they were then able to act. They started putting pressure on Netcars to clear the balance and have only now received a payment from them... 4 months later.

I can only guess Netcars were holding back to fix and sell the car to someone else thus allowing them to pay off the finance account they had set up in my name. But in the meatime I am left with my credit file ruined (or I could have paid the last 4 months paymnents for a car didn't have totaling just over £1,300). Hopefully I can get all of this removed from my credit file as its effecting my ability of gaining finance for a car entirely.

I feel very foolish for trying to buy a car without seeing it myself first, and even more foolish for signing for finance against it but its a lesson learned. I would never use netcars again.

After seeing the review centre website and after dealing with Netcars i felt i had to leave a review as i was so superbly dealt with by the staff at Netcars. I was approved instantly on a good rate and they founf me a lovely car with all the trimmings. The price was better than anything i could find at my local dealerships also. If you're thinking of financing your next car purchase please give them a go. I'll be recommending to all my friends. Top notch service and they even delivered my new ca ...

After applying for my loan with Netcars i received a call from their call centre who passed me through to their sales team. I received a fantastic customer service level and my expectations were met every time. The salesman found me the ideal car at a good price too. My finance rates were good as they got me approved with Santander finance. I would recommend Netcars any day of teh week and will be returning next time.

complete rip off company - netcars want a 149 deposit without any finance aggreement shown - in short thye take your money and run as any finance offered is 40% higher than the bank! bullying tactics to get that payment from you! leave well alone.
guy we spoke to was very evasive about us asking for his quotes in writing! he wouldnt give us anything as proof of the quote or even the 149 payment which they said was to secure the car - he then changed it to saying that the 149 was to put the finan ...

This is the company to go to if you can ' t get credit, as they seem to give finance to anyone with an income.
I purchased my Renault Scenic from them.
The only time NetCars ever rang me is when I was first looking for a car, all very friendly.
BUT I feel I have been ignored, they are slow to return calls and often tell me they are in meetings.
After I received the car I noticed a couple of small problems that needed sorting whilst in the warranty period.
Usually when you have a problem you ...

What can I say, excellent service provided by Netcars. Made buying a car simple and easy. With step by step help from Netcars the whole process was achieved with very little stress involved, they even helped me find the right car and delivered it to my door.

I had exactly the same treatment as the previous contractors' experience. I had found the car I wanted for a new contract, placed and deposit and was told by netcars that it would take a few days. Two weeks later they were asking me for the same documents that had been 'accepted' at the start. It just seemed to be "I just need.." everyday and job checks carried out on the weekend! I lost the deposit on the car and paid a document fee to them.

I was thoroughly impressed with my whole experience with Netcars. My application was dealt with very quickly and professionally and the rates I received were excellent for my circumstances. I will be returning to Netcars when I next apply for a loan. Keep up the good work!!

Everything from speed of service to professionalism of staff. The process was as smooth as you like and no hitches which is unusual as I've had loans from different companies before and always come across one or two problems. Netcars make sure you get a good deal and contact the dealership to arrange all the paperwork etc. Great company to deal with and I will be returning when I get my next car.

I applied for a loan got accepted then chose my car on the Thursday. I was promised I could have the car by Monday latest.
I received a phone call Tuesday saying that they had posted the docs to the lender but they had not been received. So had to sign a new set of docs on the Thursday which we sent off special delivery again.
This time I was promised the car by Saturday. I received a telephone call Friday saying that my finance tier had changed and I had to pay an extra two pounds odd on top ...

NetCars offer a very user friendly website and everything is crystal clear from the off. Excellent friendly and efficient staff. I like the way you can still get a loan and choose your car from any dealer in the country.

Without doubt Netcars are the most awful company I have ever come across!
I applied for a car loan through their online facility, within 24hrs they advised in email and by text that I had been passed for finance. My situation is I am self employed but on a long term contract. I already had my eye on a car and within days had put a deposit on it and advised NetCars of the dealer and car type and registration etc. Unfortunately, the dealer had, had previous experience of Netcars and was reluctan ...

I would strongly recommend Netcars to any of my friends. I applied for a car loan and within 4 days the dealer I was buying my car from had his money and I was driving around in my car. Excellent and friendly staff who were very polite on all occasions. I will be returning to Netcars when I get my next car!

    Customer service was terrible.

The NetCars sales person was pushy, and they didn't explain themselves very well. I ended up getting a much better deal through Accept Car Credit, who were first class from start to finish.

Good rates and excellent service levels.
    Very helpful staff.

I am very impressed, and I will be passing details to friends and family!

NetCars - Told that finance agreed, explained in great detail the nature of my work (Long term contract), assured that this was not an issue as I earn a substantial amount of money. Agreed amount £3500 over the top of what I required.
Picked a car, left a deposit and notified netcars to sort out the funds, charged a fee and promised documents next day.
Two days later - no documents, called netcars to be told they hadn't been sent.
Received documents the day after, to discover that all ...

I got an email saying I was accepted for credit with NetCars, so off I went and put a deposit on the car I wanted. I then got the paperwork through, and it had the wrong name on it. I called them up and told them, and I was supposedly sent some more. This didn't turned up! I called them again, and the paperwork then turned up the next day. This was completed and sent back.

Many days went past with no word from them, so I called them three times on different days, and each time I was told the ...

NetCars2000 Car Loan Review:I spoke to NetCars 2000 on a Tuesday and had my car by Saturday. This would have been sooner but I couldn't skive off work to get it! I cannot fault the service provided or the friendliness of the staff. Everything was clearly explained and I knew exactly what was required of me. They seemed as keen as I did that I got a good deal! By the Tuesday evening they had arranged the funds transfer and the only delay was due to the salesman at my car dealership.
