General comments: Received a letter telling me that delivery had been attempted for my radiohead tickets and to phone to re-arrange. "Great" I thought but this was the start of endless phone calls and broken promises. I re-arranged for a suitable day (there aren't many, I'm a fourth year medical student and my girlfriend is in the middle of her medical finals) and lo and behold they failed to deliver. When I phoned to ask after my item i was told by a in my opinion rude representative that they would be here "in a few minutes, or something" which, of course, they weren't. I had to phone several times that evening as people kept telling me they would phone the courier and get back in touch with me, which, again, never happened. Eventually I was told that the delivery would be made the next day (they used the word "guarantee" at this point). Luckily this shouldn't have been a problem. However the delivery once again failed to arrive and I had another pleasant evening on the phone with SMS representatives who told me a story about the van getting a flat tyre in the afternoon and having to return to the depot. I was told that the delivery would be made on Saturday morning, before 12, again this was a GUARANTEE, but, when I called SMS again early Saturday afternoon to inquire as to where my tickets were i was told "no, no, your item isn't due to be delivered till Tuesday" , so I was misinformed again! At this point I began to get somewhat angry, as you might expect, in response to this I was told that the item would be delivered on Tuesday morning, before 10 (another guarantee). It is now half past 11, I don't have my delivery, and two separate representatives have told me that my item is "on the way" and that they will "phone the courier" and "let me know" where it is. This has not happened.

On two occasions with SMS couriers I've waited inside all day on that second date and they have simply not shown up. Never waste your time waiting for these people. This last occasion has beaten them all -- Barclays sent my new credit card through them. It started with the typical "we tried to deliver" email with no time/date/proof that they had tried. I was waiting for my passport so i could go on my honeymoon i applied for it three weeks before i went no they tried to deliver but could not get in bt no card was left just a letter three days later no i rearranged for the next thursday but t did not show so i gave them a call and said either deliver today and get it to me tomorrow which was the two days before myholiday so i rang on the tuesday to see if it was being delivered and it did not get processed to be deliveded so i had to pay 78 pou ...

My heart literally sinks whenever I get a card/letter through the door from SMS. They are so poor. Seriously if you ever need a bank card/passport/gig tickets, make sure you ask them if possible not to use SMS.

Missed the initial delivery by SMS Courier and I would normally go to a depot of sorts to collect. Tried to arrange a redelivery which failed FOUR times. In the end I text the number and told them there service was poor and to keep the package. Then the package appeared the next day.

Why is the Passport and Identity office using SMS couriers? My documents which include my passport birthcertificate etc. have been floating around for 5 days now! They supposedly call you to let you know what time of day they will arrive so that you can be home I have been home for 2 days straight now. I am still waiting my documents and a call?

Did not deliver. I was misinformed on the phone. I can't collect from depot.
Generally incompetent in my experience. Do not recommend using if possible.

By far the worst level of service I have ever received from a courier company. Received a note saying they had tried to deliver a bank card to my home address but there was no one home. Fine. Followed their instructions requesting it be forwarded to a work address as I'm not at home 9 to 5pm. In fact I called and filled in the online form just to be sure. A few days later get a phone call from their agent saying they're outside my house and where am I? They have no record of the forwarding addr ...

In general, I wish people would just use the post office, as courier companies are a complete pain if you live in a block of flats, they never seem to be able to get in, even if you are in waiting for them. The postman generally knows how to get in to the building and can at least leave a 'please collect' notice. I Have never managed to get anything delivered without rearranging it at least once when a courier company is involved. Usually they don't even leave a 'tried to deliver/come and coll ...

I am awaiting delivery of a package from SMS Couriers which apparently they tried to deliver two weeks ago. I say "apparently" because no card was left, no phone call was made - basically, had I not chased the order they would have done nothing.
The "call centre" I found to be a joke. I had to wait over 15 minutes for a response but it wasn't all bad news, I had the joy of the answer machine apologising every 10 seconds.
Avoid SMS. If a company insists on using them then I would shop somewher ...

Deliever between 9 and 5 weekdays. Anyone with a job will not be there. I reorganised delivery to my work, the courier rang to say he was in the loading bay and would wait five minutes. Given I work in one of the largest office blocks in the country that has a shopping centre below I neither know nor have access to the loading bay. Can't believe anyone uses this company.

Did you know that you can ask your bank to send your debit card or credit card direct to your local branch for you to collect rather than waiting for SMS to deliver!

This company 'attempted' to deliver my new bank card a while back. I wasn't in so they didn't leave a card. A few weeks later my card expired and when I asked my bank where my new one was they said it was with SMS and they were waiting for me to contact them. How on earth am I supposed to contact someone when I don't even know who they are?!? The bank gave me their number and I called them. They couldn't find my card. So the bank issued a new one. If you would like to turn mail into a nightmare, use SMS and you will be pleased. They have so far failed to deliver a single item to me. I don't mean failed to deliver on time, I mean failed to deliver. They are utter rubbish and useless. A disgrace for courier companies.

Worst ever service I have ever come across. Never even visited my address in Eastbourne with the item they were suppposed to be delivering. No card left, no letter, no calls. Said I have signed for item but I have never seen the item.

I have always received a bad service from SMS and my heart sinks if I ever do receive a card through the door saying they have tried to make a delivery.
However usually I don't receive any such notification, and on several occasions I have had to cancel my cards (believing they were lost in the post) only to find out that they were sitting in the SMS depot all the time but that no-one had bothered to tell me.
By then of course I have arranged for a new card to be sent out, but this then become ...
