I had my passport delivered last week by sms and found them extremely helpful and the courier who arrived at my flat was very friendly and polite, yes i had to pay for an 0800 number to re-book a delivery but it was worth it to think my passport was not in the hands of the royal mail who generally offer a poor service. Call centre staff were informative and helpful and they were able to give me a rough idea what time it might arrive during the day.I would recommend them to friends and family.

Absolutely appauling service from a complete joke of a company. They say the tried to deliver on Tuesday which they most certainly DID NOT attempt to do as I was in all day.

Like other reviews I was also left no card and had to call myself to find out what had happened.

Its now Thursday and I have called the company about my order and they say it will be delivery today. I highly doubt this due to the experiences in some of the reviews today and would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. I h ...

its funny because reading the reviews of SMS i thought how similar they were to my own experience of TheDx only to find out they are actually the same company.

My experience is extremely similar to other reviewers here. Unhelpful staff (that spoke to you as though they didnt have the will to live - which is not their fault but an extremely serious failure of their management team) -they couldnt care less that the driver didnt deliver my next business day parcel. The status on the tracking webs ...

Did anybody else know that a SMS delivery man is equipped with an key to override key code automatic security gates, as Firemen are? I discovered this in the NW6 area two weeks ago. What does anyone else think of that kind of invasion of security, and who can one take it up with? He was on course to gain access to a letterbox through which he intended to push a credit card delivery, having got no answer to the said Flat's doorbell, and without achieving a signature.

Three days I have waited in for SMS to deliver my passport. First day they dropped off a card without ringing the doorbell. Second time, I rearranged delivery via their website. Around mid-afternoon I called to confirm that it was on its way - they said that no delivery had been arranged. Third day, I've just phoned them and they say their courier tried to deliver it at 9am and got no answer. That is a lie.

I've just arranged to go to them and collect it myself.

(I've given them one sta ...

SMS Lie!! I urgently needed a replacement card from my bank. The courier claimed to have tried to deliver; that there was no-one there; that they could not leave a card as it was a communal letter box. All of those points were complete lies. I would never use this company and I hope no-one sending to me ever does.

O my god I saw this site and had major concerns. What with going abroad tomorrow to see this site and to think my chances of going on holiday rests with this bunch. However the delivery was made within the time slot. We found SMS customer services to be very helpful and overall we are both really pleased. They showed that contary to bad feedback they are obviously trying to do something about it so its all good.

Well done sms you might just be turning a corner.

I have had dealings with SMS for the last fortnight, I too have found the call centre staff to be unhelpful. I find the fact that this company does not always obtain a signature for legal documents being delivered completely unacceptable. A passport is a legal document and should be signed for when delivered, posting it through a door and then taking a photograph of the door is, in my opinion, disgraceful. How do the couriers of SMS know that the property they are delivering to is not a shared ...

SMS seem to connected with DX (same firm)? who deliver all the UK passports. Their courier in my area (North Wales)has repeatedly failed to deliver to us because our home is down a long lame which he's too idle to consider driving down. The Royal Mail, Parcelforce and other couriers come here regularly, but not DX/ SMS.
The courier makes silent calls to our home from his mobile, and when I 1471 it to find out who it is, he answers and dsays he will meet us one mile away if we want the delivery! ...

Well where do I start? I purchased 3 tickets for Take That (show date Fri 3 Jul 09), and I noticed that 5 days before the event my tickets hadn't arrived, so we called ticketmaster who informed me that SMS delivered tickets a month before. We were told that SMS (instead of getting a signature) quite often just pop the tickets through the door and then take a photo of the door to prove that they delivered the tickets (!). The tickets were never delivered and how is a photo of my house proof of ...

I dont want to go through the details again, it hurts me to think about it . I had similar situation that many people here had.In short words, what happened to me with SMS is that they LIE about making 2 attempts of delivery which they never did, and leave me no option but to pay extra 20 pounds minimum to get another delivery. I still haven't received my passport!!what i also want to say is that i spoke with the staff who isn't helpful at all, the so called customer concerns email doesn't work ...

By far the worst courier company i have ever dealt with, i cant believe they are still trading with all the poor reviews they have received on here. How difficult can it be to get a parcel delivered?? The call centre staff dont have a clue what they are doing and the supervisors arent much better. This will be the last time i ever have dealings with SMS.

Worst courier ever dealt with .....it is as if they're doing you a favour by delivering the mail to you...very rude, abusive staff at their call centre.....Special Mail Services delivery guy claims that they cant get access to building... same building where another courier delivered to me the very day...when tried to arrange alternate delivery, totally unhelpful, it has to be done at their terms & again claimed I wasn't 'available' when actually waiting for them in my house whole day...... it's ...

You pay SMS extra for 'special' delivery of passport or tickets. Then they go missing. When you query this the answer is they don't require a signature if they feel the property is safe. Therefore you have no proof it was delivered, other than the couriers. Who lets face it could say anything!!

SMS (Special Mail Services) Courier are completely unreliable. Do not waste your time and money on them. They do not even attempt to notify you. It is only 2 weeks they were supposed to deliver my bankcard. I wonder why reputable banks actually use them.

SMS are pathetic, absolute waste of time. This is the umpteenth time I've had to deal with them. Every time I have a new bank card, credit card or passport that needs to get delivered my blood pressure goes into the red because I know I'll have to deal with them again. I absolutely and unequivocally will not order anything from anyone that ever uses them to deliver, I will go so far as to cancel the MBNA credit card that we've been waiting two weeks for. Last week a letter arrives - they tried t ...
