    Good Points: teach you a lesson in your life, show you what people in real life are capable of.

    Bad Points: Cant believe SMS is even legal in this country.

    General comments: I dont want to go through the details again, it hurts me to think about it . I had similar situation that many people here had.In short words, what happened to me with SMS is that they LIE about making 2 attempts of delivery which they never did, and leave me no option but to pay extra 20 pounds minimum to get another delivery. I still haven't received my passport!!what i also want to say is that i spoke with the staff who isn't helpful at all, the so called customer concerns email doesn't work so far (fail to send to the address). the whole company is rubbish, and one should try avoid it as much as possible. shame the US embassy offers no other options than SMS.

    Worst courier ever dealt with .....it is as if they're doing you a favour by delivering the mail to you...very rude, abusive staff at their call centre.....Special Mail Services delivery guy claims that they cant get access to building... same building where another courier delivered to me the very day...when tried to arrange alternate delivery, totally unhelpful, it has to be done at their terms & again claimed I wasn't 'available' when actually waiting for them in my house whole day...... it's ...

    passport was out for delivery today...called SMS at 1.00pm one person said that it should be with me by 6pm. at 1.45 I checked the website to track my passport and it said that delivery had been attemped and no one was in.....I cant believe it....total rubbish.....they did not leave a card...How can so many people be wrong about the same company...THEY PLAY WITH PEOPLES LIVES....

    You pay SMS extra for 'special' delivery of passport or tickets. Then they go missing. When you query this the answer is they don't require a signature if they feel the property is safe.Therefore you have no proof it was delivered, other than the couriers. Who lets face it could say anything!!

    SMS (Special Mail Services) Courier are completely unreliable. Do not waste your time and money on them. They do not even attempt to notify you. It is only 2 weeks they were supposed to deliver my bankcard. I wonder why reputable banks actually use them.

    SMS are pathetic, absolute waste of time. This is the umpteenth time I've had to deal with them. Every time I have a new bank card, credit card or passport that needs to get delivered my blood pressure goes into the red because I know I'll have to deal with them again.     My document including Passport were sent back by Sia on my address which according the Sia was delivered by SMS (Special Mail Services) on my address on 19Jan 2009,But I have not received that yet.I don't know where and whom to complain for the loss my documents. I am dissatisfied with the delivery services of the SMS, and Will never trust them again.

    After reading all the terrible reviews that have been posted about SMS I really wasn't looking forward to what might lay in store as my passport was being delivered by them. Even more so when I recieved a letter saying the first delivery was unsuccesful. However apart from the call centre staff in my opinion being a bit rude the passport arrived on my selected day and before my selected time. The courier was very pleasent and happy too.     I have been waiting for a delivery via this courier since the end of January 09. When I telephoned SMS their response was that they have my parcel, it should have been delivered by now but they could not say why it hadn't. Needless to say I have told the company that I purchased my goods from that this courier was letting them down and that in the future I would not buy from any company that uses SMS Services.     SMS (Special Mail Services) Courier arrived without noticed and left a message while I was in a meeting to say they would wait for 5 minutes - no return phone number, no nothing. I went on to their website and surprise surprise - no phone number.

    This is my second run-in with this useless excuse of a mail service. First I heard of them was a letter two weeks after the fact that they had tried delivering my new credit card and no-one was in to collect. I work from home and can see the front door from where I sit. No-one had called or left a note to say they had been.     I was waiting for a replacement debit card from my back which was ordered on 8 December - after 10 days or so I didn't receive I called the Bank, they then told me they used this hapless courier service for London.     i live above a shop, so we have the same postcode, sms delivered my passport and let somebody that I have no connection or share the same flat to sign for the passport and the person who signed for it lost my new passport! I now have to pay for another one and lost my flight money the worst courier in london.

    I was waiting on delivery of my bankcard last week and phoned the bank today to find out when will it be sent and it was apparently delivered Friday 17th October and I was in all day till after 7pm so no note was posted in the door and they didn't ring my door bell as I would have answered. SO they say it will arrive in the next 5 days as there was a problem with delivery?

    For my US Visa, I was stuck to using SMS which is settle in the US embassy.They charged me £15 for sending the passport at whatever time in about a week. You can then upgrade to a specific time - price of the upgrade is between £25 and £35. This is just not right to me what is wrong with just leaving a note and leaving at the next post office for pick up?

    I'm currently experiencing the misfortune of having a bank debit card 'delivered' by SMS Couriers. On 27th August, I received a letter dated 26th August saying they had tried to deliver an item. Went on to their website on 28th to re-arrange delivery for 29th August. Received a telephone message saying this was not possible and I will have to wait until Monday 1st September whilst it is transferred to an alternative depot.
