    Good Points: Exeptional service, friendly staff, amazing buffet breakfast.


    Bad Points: Rooftop pool a little small and water was cold. Must not forget that we went there in late May. It is fall for them. Although the temp. was still 29 or 30 celcius.


    General comments: My husband and I spent nine nights at Excelsior. We could not have asked for anything better. The rooms were a little small but that is to be expected of hotels in Rio. The hotel is modern decor with lots of huge fresh flower arrangements throughout the lobby and restaurant. The hotel is very very clean. The staff was always cleaning one thing or another... They were very helpful on tours that we wanted to do even though they were not organized through the hotel. It is amazing how much you will be catered to if you leave them $1.00 u.s. dollar once in a while.... Will definitely go back.
