    Good Points: Great picture quality, reliable, really crisp screen, has lasted very well.


    Bad Points: One dead pixel (blue) over 4 years.


    General comments: Great screen, got one dead pixel approx 2 years into owning after move, really reliable and has served me well.
    A little bit dated now, but otherwise fantastic if you want 4:3 ratio.

    I bought a brand new GIGABYTE GD-1703BP 17 inch TFT monitor from the worst computer store in New Zealand, www.xpcomputer.co.nz. When I got it home and unpacked it the screen already had a broken red pixel right in the middle. I took it back and xpcomputer told me the warranty only applied if 3 or more pixels were showing.

    What a joke. It was brand new out of the box. Gigabyte is the worst brand in the world. Cheap Taiwanese junk.

    I told them to give me a Sony and had to pay the difference ...
