Bad points I think the map makes it seem bigger then it is and I don't think the cafe have much choice for healthy options. Some of the manikins are peeling and could do with a dust. I think some of staff seem depressed and are very rude. The ice cream is full of ice. And it's very over priced. I think the gate entry is a bit expensive. Good points. Good day out makes my kids happy. Not sure if I would choose this place often (read more)

I've been taking my children to sundown since the early nineties obviously they're grown up now but we've been today for my three year olds birthday and although not much has changed the place is still absolutely magical , my boy loved every minute of it and to be honest so did I , you can't beat sundown for a cracking family day out with the younger children, great value, including the refreshments which are often overpriced elsewhere , we will definitely be returning again and again... I specifically went to this place as I thought it allowed babies on rides. I went for my 2 year olds birthday with family and friends....nothing interesting there. Absolute rubbish and overpriced for what it is. I'm originally from Edinburgh and we have things like this on offer for FREE. Staff were very rude and refused to get me the manager and also REFUSED TO REFUND despite us only being there 30 mins... HOW DARE THEY NOT REFUND WHEN WE DIDN'T EVEN GO ON ANYTHING!! Ended up trying to make... (read more)

Absolutely brilliant! Tidy, clean and well kept. The rides are great and there are lots of interactive things to do, and everything works!! There's an exciting discovery around every corner. Great value for money, worth every penny. We stayed from 10am til 6pm but could have easily stayed longer. By far THE BEST in the area. (read more)

The kids had a good day despite the changeble weather, we took our son aged 4 and nephew ages 3. We had not been aware of Sundown Adventureland until passing on the A1 a few weeks before On arrival we paid the money which was of reasonable value for the number of rides etc... Boozy Barrel Ride - Great fun Robin Hood ride, Train ride and tractor ride was very much the same and just ok Christmas ride only opens at christmas The park map made out the park was much bigger than it actually was... We had a lovely day despite the cold weather, we took our children aged 9 and 4. We had not been aware of Sundown Adventureland until the evening before we visited but it certainly has a "magical" Christmas feel to it - there is quite obviously a big Christmas fan behind the planning!! The details of the sliegh ride & the night before Christmas ride were amazing!! A quality gift from Santa too. The staff were very friendly and helpful, our little boy is in a wheelchair but nothing was too... (read more)

This is the best day of my life (this was what I heard from a child coming out of the new santa sleigh ride) and this is exactly what my 8 year old son said to me when he first visited Sundown in september. We promised him we would revisit the park in november and his thoughts have not changed one bit! He loved the new sleigh ride and the gorgeous christmas tree and lights which really do look fabulous. The sunny and hunny bear show was great and really kept the children entertained and... (read more)

We have just returned from a day out at sundown adventureland where we took our 8yr old son for his birthday. What a wonderful place this is with so much to look at we hardly had time to see everything so visitors be warned it is a good idea to get there early. (5 hours just wasn't enough). The staff were very friendly and the park itself was very clean. The entrance fee was very reasonable for what was on offer, I would have paid twice the amount for the joy it gave to my young son and... (read more)

DO NOT GO! DO NOT GO! DO NOT GO to Sundown Adventure Land EVER! This is without doubt the strangest dirtiest and out and out waste of time and money you will ever experience. I took my four year old today for his birthday and will never go again even though I live only 15 minutes away. After desperately trying to have a good time for 2 hours we decided to complain and got to see the owner. She not only refused to acknowledge any of our complaint or give us a refund but when I said I... (read more)

we had a fantastic day at sundown, the rides are spot on for younger children, the park was very clean (even the toilets) well thought out and themed, the staff polite and friendly, we stayed all day and took a picnic, the kids met sunny and honey bear in the market place, and had pictures took with them, i will be booking a place on the new Christmas ride opening this year, great day, great memories, the kids love it. I am amazed that anyone rates this place. Firstly I expect these places to be expensive but they charge the same price for children as for adults (albeit under 2s go free); so for 2 adults a 2 and 3 yr old, it was £40 just to walk in the door. Set in the shadow of power station cooling towers on the left overs from some farmers field - stunning this place is not! The are a couple of ride, all very similar: tractor through a faux-farm, horse carriage through short medieval scene. After 30... (read more)

Brilliant day out. Value for money. You don't need to buy food there but it's not too badly priced. A new indoor play area means it doesn't matter if it rains. We have a 2 and a 3 year old and visit a least twice a year. Helps if your little ones can walk. (read more)

As a small child I visited Sundown many a time. Now I can take my youngest brother and it just gets better and better! I would recomend for anyone with small children as there is plenty to do, it is different to the bogstandered parks and is very clean! (it's nice to have clean toilets once in a while!) (read more)

Sundown Adventureland, Rampton, Retford, DN22 0HX.
We took our 4 year old for her birthday this year, along with our other little girl who was 18 months old at the time. They both absolutely loved it. It is absolutley ideal for little ones imaginations, they were able to explore of their own accord. The rides were perfect for the age group and not too many. My girls enjoyed the tractor ride as they were driving muumy and daddy for a change!! We chose to go on a week day which probably... (read more)

We recently had a short break in Sherwood Forest, and with two children aged 3 and under, the search was on for ideal attractions for our little ones.
Sundown Adventureland was only a short drive from our holiday park, therefore we decided to visit on route. From the moment we walked through the gates our three year old was captivated, not to mention her baby sister, who couldn't fail to be kept amused with all the interactive displays and animated features.
The imagination and attention... (read more)

Sundown Adventureland is fabulous day out for under 10s and highly enjoyable for the adults too!! Lots of rides plus areas for children to run, climb and generally have fun burning off energy. Definitely designed for the british weather too with lots to do undercover. My friends remember it fondly from when they were children (although supposedly there's much more there now) and I can see why they recommended it so highly. For a full day out the initial cost is well worth it. (read more)

Sundown Adventureland is a fantastic day out for under 10's well thought out from the minute you enter the gate.A great deal of thought has gone into safety aspects.Very clean and tidy all round including the toilets. Some may say its expensive but spend a whole day out and it is worth every penny. Kiosks not a rip off 84p coffee, £1 ice creams and spades for sand 50p.
This was our second time and it just gets better. As grandparents taking 2 4 and 5 year olds out for the day we say well... (read more)

Sundown adventure land was a great day out me and my partner had just as much fun as our 2 year old daughter. We wouldnt have known about it if family hadn't told us. we would definately recommend it to anyone! All of it was good especially the little houses and shops you could go in. only bad point is having to leave your pushchair and belongings outside of the rides on a busy day things could go missing. Sundown Adventureland is well worth a visit if you have never been, no long hours of queuing for the rides.

I can't believe I hadn't heard more about Sundown Adventureland!! I was looking for somewhere to take my 3 (nearly 4) year old for a day out. I vaguely remembered someone mentioning it and looked it up on the internet. It looked OK, so we decided to go.
We have had the most wonderful day. The park wasn't very busy and there was so much to do. We spent 5 hours there and didn't see it all. It was really magical for a child of this age, with all the rides being gentle and fun. Our daughter... (read more)

Three months ago I hadn't heard of Sundown Adventureland and then in the space a week, 2 separate friends of mine recommended it as a good day out for young children. The park advertises itself as "the theme park uniquely designed for the under 10s" so don't expect thrill-a-minute white knuckle rides. However, if you're looking for a fun day out for toddlers and young children with gentle rides and lots of interaction, then it could be the perfect choice.
