    Good Points: It's good quality.


    Bad Points: The plasma gas only lasts for about 5 years before it has to be replaced.


    General comments: The Sony KDE-P42XS1 is a good quality Plasma TV, I'll give it that. And it's got (reasonably) good sound.

    The truth you didn't know about plasma TV's is that between the actual screen and the glass there is plasma gas. The TV needs this to make the picture transmit. BUT, over about 5 years the plasma gas escapes and you have to get it refilled, which costs a BOMB.
