Good Points: Good sound quality and at first the picture was great.
Bad Points: After having the television for 5 months, there was a lot of blue pixels on the outside edges of the screen, only visible on certain screen shots, but very annoying none the less
General comments: I would not recommend the Philips 42PF9966 Ambilight for someone that wants something reliable and lasting. Very disappointed, considering the investment that was put down.

If you love TV and movies, you can't get better than this. Get the Philips Ambilight and the new cinema system and you will not believe your eyes and ears. It is the most beautiful system in the world and even though it is pricey, its worth every penny.

Picture quality is pretty excellent.
Sound - ok for normal tv.
Features - OH MY GOODNESS. So many to choose, spent many a night having a play with all the settings.
Never had a philips tv, so this is the first. To be honest it has been a great asset in our living room.
