I bought this Tv over 12 years ago and I have no complaints with the quality and durability, nevertheless, I Never spent a penny in sending to repair because it still going strong. (read more)

I have found the sound quality so poor that I am thinking of replacing it. I would not recommend this TV. It came with no User Manual. I switched off Dolby as that made the sound so muffled that speech was inaudible but even though I have now turned the treble right up and the base right down, many voices are still too muffled to hear clearly. I would have liked an opportunity to listen to it in a quiet enviroment and had I done so I would not have bought it. I also think it is ugly. (read more)

1 month of use but great results. I would point out that the very picky may notice slight purple blurs eminating from the sides of the screen where the speakers are housed. This indicates soso magnetic shielding. I would have expected Sony to be more on the ball but I would point out this is only noticable when viewing totally white images - salt lakes etc. To point out this is the only real niggle and for the price new @ £299 in Sainsburys worth it considering its almost a 50% saving the... Just bought a Sony KD28DX51U Model. It's an excllent TV with superb clearity. Even though it's a 50HZ TV, it's fabulous.
Some of the best features are as below

3. EPG (Electronic programmeguide)
4. Virtual Dolby Sound
5. SmartLink (Easy to auto tune VCR , so no need for manual tuning)
