Worst meal I have ever had, not cooked properly, not served properly, tepid tap water served in jug with no ice or lemon and not even offered. Cutlery in-appropriate for teh food I was eating. Meat/fish not fresh - recently defrosted badly. Puddings over sweet, hard and full of synthetic rubbish. Waste of time and money and no offer of trying to save a customer or any apologies. Much rather give money to a charity than waste on a pub that has no intentions of making the grade. (read more)

The few times we have been in The Crown Inn we found the landlord very unfriendly, the food is very poor and their is little in the way of atmosphere. It is a shame, because with a little effort from the staff, they could make this a lovely pub but at the moment it is very poor (read more)

You must try it! I really should have written this before now.. we unexpectedly turned up at the crown last year 24 of us! an unplanned evening out before our wedding the following day. They managed to seat us, although still reasonably busy.. we ordered starters, mains and desserts, all came out pretty much together and piping hot, cooked to perfection! not one of of could have complained about a single thing.. It was beautiful, we were very well looked after indeed!!!! Thanks Alll!... (read more)

At the Crown Inn you'll experience fantastic, fresh, local food. Good Real ales on offer. Very friendly staff. They will always try to accommodate your needs too.
Agree with previous review - whether there's two or ten of you, the tables yours for the evening and you never feel 'pushed out' by constant table-turning.

A great local pub. My husband (who thinks himself a food connoisseur) and I often visit this pub for a guaranteed good meal and great range of drinks.

Very highly recommended.... (read more)

We've made a habit of stopping here for lunch on the drive from London to the Suffolk coast. It is certainly worth the detour! Good food at reasonable price, excellent beer and wines, friendly and efficient service. (read more)

The Crown Inn is a great village pub in rural Suffolk. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is well presented, good portion sizes and always tastes great. Families are most welcome and once you have your table it is yours for the night. The beer is well kept and the pub itself is decorated well and always clean and tidy but has a real local pub feel especially with the roaring real fire and pleasant garden. (read more)
