I've had my RWS for three years now and have used it extensively over the period. I traded up from a BSA Lightning and was pleasantly surprised that the RWS is as powerful if not more so, it's also certainly quieter than the BSA.I didn't have a problem with the pressure leaking for two years, and apparently this is fairly standard as the gun wears and it didn't take long for my gunshop to have it up and running again. My next problem was with the RWS Foot pump I purchased with the gun, and again ...

The RWS Scimitar is great with 8 shot mag and it's light weight (ish), however it's easy to load 2 pellets. A good hunter.

I love shooting the RWS Scimitar gun. It's great for vermin at close range and it's capable of hitting a target at 35 - 50 yards too. Very quiet but I've found it's very fussy about pellets. I'm using Crosman Accupells and Air Arms Field in mine.

As I write the gun is with the dealer having a leaky gauge fixed (a common problem I understand) - I hope it will be OK when it gets back.

I bought my first RWS Scimitar in June 2003. I hadn't gone to the gunshop to buy a Scimitar, but something more conventional. However, this minimalist, black and rather military-looking weapon caught my eye and I was very struck by its lightness.

Home I went with Scimitar plus Simmons scope, Logun pump etc. Once the scope was zeroed, the rifle proved extremely accurate and powerful, more powerful than any springer I've ever used; the bunnies never knew what hit them, especially as the Scimit ...

I returned my first RWS Scimitar after one day due to the loss of air. The second was worse. I could hear the air leaking! On my third now and everything seems ok so far. Will keep you all informed. Anyone have any tuning tips? I've been told that by turning the power adjuster you gain extra power.
