Good Points: Comfort, on-road performance, gas mileage, 3.4 liter engine, low maitenence

Bad Points: Expect troubles after 70,000 miles. Front suspension in particular. Engine strong. Wonder why GM quit making this one?

General comments: My first American car in 20 years. Overall the Chevrolet Impala LS is not bad, many nice features. Could use a fold-down rear seat. The first 70k miles were trouble-free. Now starting to show its age. (My Volvos regularly went 130k+ before needing major work). Routine maitenence far less expensive but hard to find good dealer service in my area.
