The Marksman 1790 is a great gun, the price was decent to it was $100 canadian and ive had it for about 5-6 years now and shot it over 1500 times and is still as accurate and powerfull and when i first bought it.
Good for pest control, great overall buy i would def. reccomend this gun to anyone who can get a hold of one
Only things i didnt like was the sights a little hard to get use to but will after a couple times of using it.

Nice little gun, lightweight, very durable and seems to be very well made. Loads easy, cocks fairly easy for the kids. Very safe operating rifle, automaticlally puts trigger on safe after cocking and loading pellets.- Read johnkjr's review (123 words)

If you can find one buy it you will be more than satisfied. The Marksman 1790 is dead on accurate with sufficient power for a breakbarrel rifle. I've owned since 1995 and have never thought to upgrade or felt the need to buy another air rifle. Its a shame they don't make them anymore.- Read antfizzl's review (52 words)

The rifle is very accurate, but mine has a broken lever, and cannot fixed it.. for several years i kept it in my room, until my friend told me to remove the barrel and send it to gunsmith.. they build me a short barrel PCPs (38 cm)now i can shoot 41 m, metal silhouette ratio 1:1 (5 target) and hunt with this custom PCPs. its very good barrel in low and high speed MV.....Overall this is a great gun....b4 and after transformed..- Read Guest's review (97 words)

I paid $40 for my Marksman 1790 rifle at a Wal-Mart several years ago. It cocks very easily and handles very nicely. It is listed as 450-475fps so it's no powerhouse but it's accuracy more than makes up for it. The rear peep sight is all plastic. It's easily removable for installation of a scope. The receiver is made of cast zink and the stock is plastic. The trigger is a two stage affair and the safety engages after you cock the gun. The safety must be disengaged everytime before firing. ...- Read holyokster's review (196 words and 1 comment)

Dollar for dollar the Marksman 1790 is a good little break barrel for target practice at 10 meters. I got it 2 years ago for $100 Canadian. I shot it about 2100 times with no problem at all. It likes Copperhead Wadcutter. It is not very hold sensitive.- Read Rene Matteau's review (65 words and 3 comments)
