these bikes have a switch on the stand so that the engine cuts out if you put the bike in gear with the stand down, what happens is the switch gets fouled up due to dirt getting in and the bike thinks that the stand is down even when you put the stand up.try removing the conection to the switch and shorting the pins together with a bit of wire if thise cures your problem clean the switch with wd 40 ore replace it ,hope this helps

hi everyone,my Hyosung gt125r is a 2007 model and when i saw one at a bike show i had to have one.after some research i discovered that they were built under license from suzuki and thought they would be a good buy.so far it has been back to the dealers four times all with engine trouble, the shaft was replaced then the valves went,i put a scorpion end can on and it sounds good but top speed is only 67mph {checked by mate on a 650 bandit].its a good wee bike for back roads, but take main roads at ...

The Hyosung GT 125 Comet is simply the best 1st bike on the market. Purchased after completing CBT for a great price and is now providing me with miles of fun. Like every bike you have to look after it.Great sized bike that should make the transition to a more powerful bike a little less daunting.

if your going to buy one of these Hyosung GT 125 Comet new try and make sure the dealer is fully qualified to work on these bikes. these bikes do take a bit more looking after than say a honda, but their worth it, easily modified, lots of after market kit at cheap enough prices. with 20yrs on bikes i wouldnt buy another one of these but i wouldnt get rid of the one i have. over all a desent enough wee bike.

Hyosung GT 125 Comet looks Great but has 'Cheap issues'. For instance for £1200 you could get a 07 hyosung or 57 yamaha ybr. Looks is a no contest, performance is a no contest the hyosung has massive tyres for proper leaning and racing positioning - meaning the footpegs are less likely to hit the floor with intense leaning. On smaller bikes your positioning with your knees high can be arkward and look silly.

BUT, mine had a lot of small problems and it was only 2 years old. The bike rust ...

I have owned my Hyosung GT 125 Comet for a week now, covered over 100 mile and am lovin it. Its a big bike for a 125 and dosent look out of place next to larger engined bikes too. I have a few mods on mine such as a blue-flame exhaust, crash bars, rear hugger etc. all of which only add to the bikes presence. It has a good seating position allowing good views above traffic, responsive acceleration for a 125, it can easily carry my 16 stone around. If your looking into honda's CBR or yamaha's YBR ...

The handleing and size of the Hyosung GT 125 Comet bike are surely amazing. I've had my bike over onto the footpeg and it was still happy to hold its self there and its an easy bike to drive. Bad points are: chain and sprockets and mounting bolts rust/anodise, had a tiny problem with the electrics behind the dash which caused a short but was an easy fix :) I've managed to buy parts for my bike to increase it too around 30-35 bhp :) and increase the lower end torque and i love this bike i wou ...

The Hyosung GT 125 Cometlooks fantastic big bike with tri oval exhaust sounds nice and the build qulity is very good.

It is a very good bike, there should be more people on these than the unreliable 2 strokes.

Great big 125. bit slow, although I was told by the dealer it did over 340 mph, when it got flown over, but don't expect it to reach these speeds on the road, because its been restricted, yes they have put a couple of cats in the pipes, if you rev the bike hard enough you might hear them yowl.
These bikes come in the country in kits, like most bikes today, if you ' ve got a bad one the chances are the dealer has thrown it together, without gluing what should be locked, and not using the correct ...

So you want to speed it up, change the front sproket to a 15 tooth, cut the cat of the exhaust and fit a race can, change your plugs to race standard and fit K&N air filters, lub with good oil wam its away.

Get yours done like mine. Mines has a super charger on it putting power up to around 45-50 bhp with nitrous kit installed and its pretty fast.

Amazing bike. I fitted a turbo charger to mine and its putting out about 45 bhp also added a slightly longer swingarm for more stability at high speed, single seat conversion added also added a new tail tidy so it looks amazing.

I have my Hyosung since 2005. I like the bike overall. Very Good Fuel consumption. Yes I also agree that for short people might find it hard to ride at the back. I can say that I'm happy to have it.
Would love to have the bike go a bit faster.
