    Good Points: Reliable, always up and running.


    Bad Points: The clara.net home page layout often changes, and is quite confusing to find the right section (to get to the members area).
    E-mails are restrictive, no file can be bigger than 100MB, and you can't have more than 5000 files in your inbox. Plus, you can only access POP3 mail for sending if you use clara.net as your ISP (will recieve e-mail though).


    General comments: Clara.net is reliable hosting. Not very competative. Seems to be concentrationg its marketing more towards big business, rather than the smaller user. Doesent know wheather its a web-host, or ISP.

    Clara.net have a contract that auto renews after 12 months with no prior warning to the customer, there service is overpriced and under par get Be internet for 1/4 of the price and 3 x performance

    I have recently returned to claranet after spending a few years abroad and an initial frustrating experience with a cheaper provider (tesco) on my return. The reliability of clara is well worth the extra outlay; even though I use the dial up anytime service, at least is has been accessible literally 'anytime' which tesco wasn't.

    I have used clara.net for roughly 5+ years for hosting. So far, the service has been reliable. However, the benefits offered by the SoHo package at over 140 pounds (when paid monthly) per year are not as good as other providers in my experience.

    The restriction on sending e-mail is the biggest issue. When I first joined clara.net, e-mail could be sent and recieved, which was perfect. However, later this became restricted because some businesses were sending junk mail.

    They are a very reliable Internet service provider, and they offer excellent customer service.

    Unfortunately Clara.net are expensive by today's standards, but I am too frightened to switch to anyone cheaper and lose reliability of service which I am used to.

    Overall, they are excellent. I wish they could make their prices that bit more competitive though.

    Claranet are excellent for connection and hosting. Yes they may be a little more expensive, but this is down to the 100% commitment and drive from their workforce. The business services which claranet offer, are by far the better of their mereful competitors.

    Hosting and ADSL work well with Clara.net (www.clara.net) who provide a fast and reliable service.
    Offer a good level of phone support with UK based knowledgeable staff who fix problems with/for you.
    Good web interface for administration of your web site. If your new to it all then Clara will be good for you.

    Bad points - expensive for ADSL and hosting. Want more money for PHP/MYSQL (if you don't know what this is then you don't need it). There accounts department invent the odd extra invoi ...
