    RECOMMENDED GUN!
I bought this gun as a first air pistol thinking that it would be really good and i was right. It is easy to reload, has a lot of power, very accurate and it is built very well. There is nothing faulty about it and if you are considering getting an air pistol i would recommend getting one of these great guns. They are also just one of the great guns offered by crosman. The rifled steel barrel makes for great accuracy and you can get roughly 70 shots per 12g C02 cartridge. It is great for just plinking and also for most types of smaller birds and things such as gophers. If you don't have this gun GET IT!!!

Okay, so hears the deal. Had one of these 17 years ago, and got rid of it for lack of use. Mine was first generation, with the hard pistol case that had Crosman Air Guns molded into it. The inside of the case was molded specifically for the gun, 3 C02's, pellets, and clips. Well, I was feeling nostalgic the other day when I came across one at Air Gun Source in Canada. Lo and behold, they had one last original case that they threw in for the gun (thanks guys!).First off, I have noticed this ...

What a waste of good plastic!. I have put about 10 powerlets through it thinking it needs to break in before it gets some power. Still no power, in double action it lobs pellets in an arc dropping to the ground 15-20 feet from the muzzle. Shooting single action yields more power and actually knocks down an aluminum can at 15 feet, but upon inspection there is only a dent.. It wont even penetrate one side of the can. This gun is a big giant LOSER!

The Crosman 1008 is plastic, plastic and plastic.Only 109 m/s with 0,46 grams pellets and 20 centigrade of temperature. You can buy the Crosman 1377c, I think it is better............

The grip on my Crosman 1008 is loose. Is there any way to fix this problem. The gun is weak. I had put a Co2 powerlet in hot water before used. It did improve the power and accurate. Does any person know how to make a little battery-power warmer to keep the powerlet warm during shot?

I had this Crosman 1008 gun a number of years ago. Mine was silver with black handle. I bought it because the rotary clip design accepted pointed pellets so I could hunt small game with it. That I did and it worked well. However, I can not recommend this pistol because of its cheap construction and feel, also, when you can't remember how many rounds are left and you open the barrel to check, you may disturb the position of the magazine and either not fire a pellet next time or skip over the ...

I bought the 1008 because the semi auto feature looked pretty cool. it's rated at 430fps so that should be enough power to plink at empty soda cans and have fun. At first i tried to sight it in but it shot 4" high at twenty feet and the rear sight was out of adjustment. It turned out that was'nt a bad thing because at thirty feet you would have had to aim about 4" over your target to hit it. My red ryder that i had when i was a kid had more power than this. In my very well lighted shooting range ...

I bought the Crosman 1008 REPEATER co2 pistol about 3 weeks ago. For fifty dollars at Wal-Mart I thought I would have got somthing better. This pistol is inaccurate at 10 ft.
It won't even penetrate a plastic bottle at point-blank range!
I know becuase I've tried it. If your looking for a accurate or powerful pistol this is definately not the gun for you. If you're just looking for action-fun or a first-time gun than it's good.
I have currently purchased a Bejamin 392 and am very happy with i ...

I really wish I had not bought the Crosman 1008. Sure it has the power but the trigger pull is not smooth, Maybe after shooting it a thousand times it will smooth out. It is accurate if you can get one with a smooth trigger pull, however I only shoot this pistol when I have enough patience to put up with malfunctions and trigger pull problems.

The Crosman 1008 lasts a long time and is essential for every pellet gun lover. It doesn't look that realistic but it packs a punch. The CO2 wont last very long but it's a small price to pay for the accuracy and power this baby dishes out.

I got my Crosman 1008 with a red dot sight + two easy-loading 8-shot clips + 250 Copperhead pointed pellets from Canadian tire in march 2002 for $99.99 Canadian. So far I shot it 4400 times without problem if I use pointed pellets. It is a fun light plinker. The red dot sight is good for my bad 58 years old eyesight.
