Fast connection, problems easily solved if occur, well recommend Blueyonder Broadband, telewest.co.uk. No bad comments and anyone who has had a problem has probably been putting the wrong stuff on their computers, and have not used the firewall.

Very expensive helpline that is as far as I am aware abroad based.
Email frequently down lately.
Used to be very good until in my opinion taken over by Virgin Media therefore I do not recommend BlueYonder broadband anymore.- Read JaneL57's review (42 words)

Try reinstalling onto a new PC the home help should be free like it was when telewest was new to the area, it costs a fortune just trying to get through to a "technical guy ", who are always in a hurry and most of the time the message is to fast to act upon!
There are now better back up companies to deal with.- Read Guest's review (64 words)

I am sitting here with no Blueyonder broadband connection, yet again. The engineers have now called seven times and when they have replaced part of the external wiring it works for a week or so, and then the signal goes intermittently weak and connection is lost. Yet again I shall be making an appointment with an engineer. The BT broadband that we are running in parallel has, so far, been perfect ( mind you, blueyonder was perfect for the first six months).- Read apcosantana's review (98 words)

Internet signal is too weak at the moment for the modem to operate (I am on a BT line as I write this) . This frequently happens (although we have had up to 6 months without a problem) and the response is always " an engineer will come round in 6 days time", by which time the intermittent fault is rectified and they say that there is nothing wrong, or the fault is still there and they say it's a fault outside the house at the junction box. We can often get the broadband signal strong enough by d ...- Read apcosantana's review (200 words)

I moved from BT about 5 years ago. Blueyonder are constantly offering me more and more for my money. They are an excellent internet provider, and I wouldn't dream of leaving them. They are by far the leaders in the broadband and telephone sector. They make BT look like greedy old men in suits stuck in a Victorian time warp.- Read chabester's review (99 words)

I've used Blueyonder for a few years now. Every 3 months, I have to call them out for something breaking down. We've had 7 digiboxes since moving to Edinburgh 18 months ago, and 3 modems. Connection can be fast when it's working but if it goes wrong don't expect a quick turnaround, or for them to resolve the problem properly.- Read rogueboy's review (83 words)

We've been with Telewest Blueyonder broadband for about 4 years I think. We have had very few problems and on the odd occasion that we've needed any support, their help desk staff have been friendly and efficient and have gotten to the bottom of the problem quickly.
My family use the internet a lot and with Telewest/Blueyonder we never really consider any 'down side' as it's always quick and always available. It's any other good service provider, it'd just there when you need it and it works f ...- Read cpw218's review (124 words)

I've used Blueyonder Broadband for 3.5 years now, and I'm sad to say I have to change provider now because Blueyonder is not available at my new house. During the 3.5 years there has been practically no downtime and just a few short-lived problems with the email server. Speeds have usually been way ahead of the competition for the price (except in summer/autumn 2005 - hence thenetdoctor's review - but they're back in front again now), and the service level has always been good.- Read cdewhurst's review (89 words)

Blueyonder, aka Telewest Broadband is the original company my family moved to from 56k dial-up. We had the option of AOL and BT Broadband at the time, but neither took our fancy. We figured, Telewest have been using fibre-optic cables for Televisions for a long time, surely they know what they're doing?
And they did, not only that, but being a loyal customer does actually pay off. You see on TV all the time how companies offer special prices to new customers, and Blueyonder have increased our ...- Read SimonTomlinson's review (179 words)

I've sung the praises for Cable broadband for years now, with only one serious MSO in 3 years, but with 2 meg on Plusnet (example because very solid provider - it's NOT the cheapest or fastest available for the money)! It's about time the cable companies woke up to the competition!- Read thenetdoctor's review (57 words)

After becoming a complete Internet addict over the past few years, it seemed only natural to switch to broadband when it became available in my area, so I did. As BT are still getting their act together, the only other option was Telewest' Blueyonder Broadband.
PRICE
There are two scales of charges for this 512kbs service, £33/month if this is the only service you are taking or £25/month if you take another service like phone and/or cable TV. As Telewest were offering unlimited loc ...- Read jasonwebb's review (1319 words and 3 comments)

I have the "wireless self install" version of blueyonder - for £35 I was provided with a wireless access point and USB wireless adapter. Both were up and running with 1 hour of receipt and transmission rates have been excellent. Overall I am very satisfied with the performance, service and cost of Blueyonder Broadband.- Read siguy's review (60 words)
