This company has gone right down hill - making a simple mx record change has taken me most of this morning - a nightmare of talking to unhelpful customer support on premium rate phone lines.
Avoid them - sign up with someone else!!!

Having had Nildram broadband for a great many years, i am pleased to say i have never had any conection problems except when BT broke the exchange.
I agree you do have to pay to call them and can we waiting sometimes for a little while to get through but the customer support is second to none. When i called to order broadband the sales staff explained it all so plainly i knew exactly what was going on through the whole process and the tranistion to them from BT went really smoothly.
Thanks Nildr ...- Read Guest's review (97 words)

When Nildram was an independent company everything was fine. Since they were taken over by Tiscali they have gone down the toilet. Technical support is a joke, it is clearly operated by button pushers, who having read your problem push the big coloured button which they think most closely resembles a possible answer. What you get back is some standard corporate email which is highly unlikely to have any relationship to your problem at all. It probably tells you to reboot your PC or change your ...- Read Guest's review (145 words)

"When I frist got nildram maybe 5 or more years ago it was the best ISP, fast reliable and good customer support. For some reasons since the change to ADSL2+ 16MB from my original 8MB connection, the speed has been shocking."- Read fergus6's review (40 words)

I switched to Nildram on advice and started running a VOIP system. I was with Nildram for approximately 3 months. I would warn anyone thinking of going to Nildram to avoid this company. The service is a disgrace with support staff contradicting each other. The connection dropped on average ten times a day. I spent far too many hours making notes, trying to get help from Nildram. After changing the line profile about twenty times I gave up. Nildram's service is very unstable. The staff are rude a ...- Read Guest's review (189 words)

Like most others, we have been with Nildram for a lonnnggg time. The ADSL service appears to have (co-incidentally?) been affected by the takeovers. However, as a reseller we have found the tech support to remain good, except out of hours when they can't do much for the LLU connections, "until 9am on Monday". We have tried and experienced other ADSL suppliers and they are worse (at least for business) and when Nildram are having a good day, they are still at their best. So room for improvement, ...- Read Beth Windsor's review (96 words)

I have been with Nildarm for over 8 years and have always found them fantastic - especially in terms of technical support, Have occasionally called hem in the very early hours of the morning. Many people here talk about downtime and slower speeds, but I think this is more a factor of BT than of Nildram.- Read Guest's review (92 words)

Been with Nildram 6 years but in the past 6 months getting drop outs disconnections and speed issues. Used to be excellent now below average. They re not the company that they were now they have been taken over. I didn't mind paying £18 a month for a top quality service but now I can get the same average service for free from Talk talk.- Read Guest's review (63 words)

Nildram In my opinion were good about 8 years ago whilst independent, now under Tiscali - my line is under them.I have been with them for 9 days and I am looking to migrate asap to be internet.
seemed to be a lack of response from 2nd line supportand from ticket raised via telephoen supportHighly fluctuating line speedsActivation date seemed inaccurate- Read athemiya's review (63 words)

Ive been with Nildram for broadband since they were independant of Tiscali and probably the best ISP on the market, that was over 5 years ago. They have slowly crumbled in my opinion with poor customer service, regular disconnects and no returned calls from the tech support 1st or 2nd line guys to the point where I am now off on 6th Jan to Be Broadband instead.Damn shame as tis firm used to be top notch, now very much a case of faceless servitudes and no action.- Read KIIgore's review (107 words)

I've been using Nildram for the best part of 10 years, since ADSL first came out in the UK. Up until 2008 they were excellent, virtually no down time, good customer service, low pings and high download speeds. This year they have slowly deteriorated I feel, until now the connections speeds are the worst I have ever had on broadband - even comparing to the 512k service I had originally. In the evening I wont get more than 50k/sec downloads (if I'm lucky) on an 8mb connection, websites take foreve ...- Read Guest's review (144 words)

Now leaving Nildram after 6 years of loyal subscription of £25.99 a month. The main reason is that the service is almost unusable in the evenings and weekends and often runs at barely dial-up speeds for me. I reported this about 6 weeks ago, and at first I thought there was a problem with my line or equipment as this was the impression I was given by Nildram. It turns out to be a "contention issue" in other words too many people from the Tiscali group chasing too little bandwidth. I feel ...- Read bellcrank's review (124 words)

Nildram used to be one of the best ISP's around with superb customer service and lightning fast connection. I have been with them for 5 years. Sadly, over the past 18 months their customer service is nothing short of dire, literally 12 days to get an email response.
The worst part is that over the past 3 months the speed of my connection has worsend drastically to the point where it is unuseable at peak times. Today it's been awfull *all* day, pages failing to load etc. Their tech support have ...- Read ellisd's review (98 words)
