    It's a shame that the star rating is not set up to allow a "zero star" rating in this case.

    Original sign up went smoothly and service was acceptable until our renewal was due, the only means Fasthosts used was an email sent to an expired domain and they made no other attempt to contact us before selling our business domain on to a third party leaving us without email for four working days.

    We then had to incurr the costs of wasted time and charges to get the domain back.

    Their customer service(?) contact took the stance that they were perfectly entitled to seel our domain as it had expired and we were not entitled to complain as we were allowed up to four months grace before the domain was sold. This was a blatent lie as the sale (and loss of our services) took place with a week!

    Please do not make the same mistake as we did and avoid Fasthosts at any cost.

    the WORST hosting company in the world. appalling support, appalling uptime, appalling service, appalling value.

    don't even think about using this waste of space company if you care about your website or email.

    Customer service is completely and utterly non existent, however customer service is essential as Fasthosts seem to attract more than the average in terms of system problems. Any support mail that achieves a response is answered by patronising idiots who simply don't know what they are doing. Whatever happens, the issues are NEVER addressed. There is no complaints procedure, there is no way of contacting any Fasthosts management who reside in ivory towers, and obviously couldn't give a hoot what ...

    Initially had over 30 domains and websites registered with this shower of s--t company, but over a period of years because of their deteriorating poor service, support and long waiting times on the telephone have moved every damn thing away.
    Think long and hard about using them.

    DO NOT USE FASTHOSTS!! i gave them one star because i had to, one star is a compliment! they would get ZERO stars if it was up to me. They are absolutly a waste of time and will cause you nothing but aggro and money, they will take money from your card when they have no right to do so and accept no responsibility for anything they do, their phone line takes 20 minutes to get through and their staff have less sense than a paperweight.

    Fasthosts has a disclaimer on all there correspondence claiming that the email is the opinion of the author and "not on behalf of Fasthosts, unless subsequently confirmed by an individual who is authorised to represent Fasthosts." I requested the name of anyone working for the compay who could represent Fasthosts and was aggressively denied any information. These guys will not take reponsibility for anything they do or do not do. But they will take your money without asking.

    When I first started with Fasthosts I admit there were some gliches but over the last couple of years they have developed and I can only recommend them and their help team in Gloucester.

    DO NOT touch Fasthosts Reseller. 2 months to get a .tv domain transferred in due to a fault on their system. By the time that happened I got sued by the domain owner and lost virtually everything.

    Numerous, numerous issues with their control panel, SSH stopped working over a whole weekend, email failure - this list goes on and on.

    Complete rubbish.

    Ridiculously unreliable for shared hosting. Often extended downtimes and technical support aren't interested. The same problems carry on for weeks and weeks and simply aren't dealt with. I can't wait to change hosting company.

    I had been using Fasthosts for some 6 months, using hteir reseller account and had been reasonably pleased, however upon my recommendation I transferred a major client to Fasthosts. Well what a disaster, they have changed their reseller control panel and basically rolled out a system that doesn't work. We had intended moving some live sites from my Fasthosts account to theirs, a siple job you would think, well no aboslute disaster 4 days in and sites still not live.     This must be the most difficult company on the planet to deal with. Why make a process simple lets make it it as difficult as possible for people to deal with us.


    Nobody at Fasthosts will actually read the content of any e-mail that you send to them. To send a message in the first place you have to log on to the website, log in to your account, then log in again to your account, just to send an e-mail message. Try it any other way and it will not work.

    I have been with Fasthost for over two years and I have had no real problems with them, that was until I tried to cancel my account. As you may be aware Fasthost send you an invoice after they've taken payment without warning. My latest invoice had increased by 22% from the year before - so I went through the process of cancelling in the hope of getting a refund and they certainly make it very difficult for you.     Slow, poorly conceived control panel. Generally dissapointing. Wish I had read the reviews on here before falling sucker to the low monthly price starting offer that made them one of the cheapest around.

    Could do with support for drupal, joomla, wordpress etc. and dumping their 'sitebuilder' application, unless you have a particular thing for retro (think Windows 95) websites.

    Watch out for these people - they take money out of your account without warning you that they are going to do so. Then when you want to get through to billing it is not possible to do so. I have currently been hanging on the telephone for nearly two hours to speak to someone. Appalling and would never deal with them again.

    Fasthosts seem to think that an email outage of 2 days and the loss of send capability is acceptible. They also try to defend themselves by saying "don't worry you haven't lost anything". Shocking...

    Dedicated servers come with preconfigured group policy and ISAPI settings which cause problems, and the I386 folder is MISSING files preventing you from installing FTP.

    Support is horrifying. They also cancelled a dedicated server without notifying me AND refused compensation. ...

    Used to be very good - no longer
    EMail outages (of 12 hrs or more)...
    Support webpages understate /minimise the scale of the problems - do they think we are fools? (maybe we are!).
    Seriously considering moving - if i can just get off my a**e ....

    Support itself is poor.

    I have been with Fasthosts for over 3 years and had no problems at all. That is until I decided to set up more than one website. To do this with Fasthosts is expensive (£5.74 per website per month) so I found another provided and followed the instructions on Fasthost support website to change my hosting to them.     Very poor customer service at Fast Hosts, Technical Support in India and Sales in the UK. I went through sales most of the time when I needed support. Waited 4 days for a resolution of a simple scripting problem. Problem never resolved so I moved to STORM INTERNET.
