Have to agree with most of the reviews on here - Fasthosts was not a good experience for me. The security breach was a big worry, and when they updated the email service I lost important emails that were stored in my inboxes. I also think the web builder facility is too basic in terms of what you can create, yet very confusing in that I have yet to get my page to look the way I'd like it to look - anybody who can upload an image and get it to the desired size/position PLEASE let me know because it seems impossible. In a nutshell, I'd say Fasthosts is VERY disappointing for me.

We have been with them for a good number of years with no real issues. I have had a problem with our email accounts that I have tried to get resolved by their support system. I constantly get my email returned asking for the account and pin which have been supplied. I tried to call and was left on hold and even sent an email to their sales address. I had been a long-standing Fasthosts customer of 7 years up until 1 month ago. They used to be really good but in the last 1-2 years their standards have slipped drastically. In fact the only reason I didn't move sooner is because of the huge headache I faced moving all my sites and domain names, but I'm glad I did in the end.

This Sunday, August 2008. My site goes down as the SQL database can't connect, (Albeit the first time).Over 30 minutes waiting on the phone for support. I gave up in the end. Support like that isn't good enough for me.I'm migrating to a company that will gaurantee uptime and have more people manning the phones!My advice: stay away from fasthosts if you have commerce websites, (Probably good for bloggers who don't sweat uptime).

If your website is critical to the operation of your business, I do not recommend using fasthosts. I wastes a lot of my time and encountered a lot of frustration because I do not understand server technology myself or have the expertise in-house..
Dedicated server support was terrible and I couldn't speak to the second line support people. The first line said the 2nd line would call and they still haven't. Emails have gone unanswered and when they are answered often don't seem to have been read ...

Staggeringly, mindblowingly, unbelieveably bad. We liked the idea of hosted Exchange but Fasthosts implementation of it is bungled and more trouble than it's worth. I do not recommend Fast Hosts I personally have found better options even if they are a couple of pounds dearer. Unhelpful customer support and charged me for over two years for services I didn't want. I do not recommend FastHosts.

I can only concur with the views of the other reviewers on Fast Hosts. They held my credit card details and charged me for a service I no longer wanted and it was without any prior notice! I've just been stung despite moving to another provide two months ago and I'm fairly sure I'll be told it was my own fault for not properly cancelling my hosting package - you would have thought that moving elsewhere would have been a fairly clear message! I have used Fasthosts for 3 years now and I cannot fault them. They reply quickly to e-mail inquires and the staff are very helpful. Just wished they had a hosting package for more than one website which was reasonably priced for me.

I prepaid 12 months for Fasthosts Hosting from 2007 to 2008. Hosting Services was poor in terms of features, no required mod rewites which they said were available, wasted time in trying to figure out that the problem was Fasthosts were not able to provide what was required for my hosting requirements.

Just be careful domains and hosting you no longer want ARE calcelled when they say they are. Just been hit with £64 "recurring " bill.
An email to warn would have been nice.

Support is bad in my opinion - they will not seem to accept the problem I have I feel. There caching nameservers have been having issues for months as far as I am aware, and just this morning they started no serving our _own_ nameserver properly. Upon calling them - they told me to call back on Monday - pay for an engineer to fix the issue. I've been involved in the ISP industry for years and I do not recommend Fast Hosts.co.uk

Fast Hosts have messed up over 20 of my websites with their unplanned changes, they even changed passwords to my SQL DB access, amazingly inept! I've obviously now left them and would strongly advise everyone else to avoid them..

Their hosting isn't great - slow, database goes down too often. But its the customer service that is astonishingly bad. Few large shared hosts have good technical support. But Fasthosts'takes the biscuit.I can't seem to get help by phone. The people answering say they dont understand. You have to emailAs for email support - they can take weeks to reply; when they do, often as not, they havn't read a support request properly and give silly irrelevant replies...; sometimes they just talk jibberis ...

I set up my business website and e-mails with Fasthosts and I can say it was a very bad choice. I had regular problems in accessing mails and am error when all my emails were lost, including important work correspondence. In the last days they charged me for a renewal of their services I don't remember asking for. Customer service was very unhelpful and couldn't resolve the issue or to reimburse the money taken. I ordered a server from fasthosts.co.uk in May after speaking to their sales over the phone. Once I had worked out that it was something that we could try I said that's fine I will order it online. I was told I can order it for you here and set everything up for you. Great... I gave fasthosts all my details and she set everything up in a few hours. GREAT

Boy, fasthosts/ukreg might as well replace all of their staff with a robot that says "please refer to our terms of service" whenever you have a problem or complaint about service, billing inaccuracies etc! They make YOU do all the work when something goes wrong, for instance I had to fill out a form when my domain wasn't cancelled (conveniently)

I signed up for, what I believed was, a one year deal - they soon had security issues it seems, that left me unable to use the account for around 2 months so I went to another hosting company using a new domain name.
I did not renew my account and received no further communication from them.
However I noticed (2 years later) that they still took money for the a renewal of my account.
I have been charged £150 for an account I have not used, have no intention of using and was unable to use ...

Customer Service team were very unhelpful in my opinion. Our company is without email and website as far as I am concerned. However, I feel I just received no help. We now have to chose another domain name, even though it is our own companies. I do not recommend Fast Hosts.co.uk.
