    Good Points: None.

    Bad Points: S-l-o-w.

General comments: I hate the new Excite mail!I just got a mail back from a friend's host server that said my address was "blacklisted"! This is not the first time this has happened and when I complained to the helpdesk, they said it was because the receiver's mail box was full (it wasn't). I can't even access my mail form the home computer any more.Goodness knows how many mails either my contacts or I have failed to receive.Like many others, I am now off to gmail.

Everything that I have noticed is not good about this new format! I cannot even receive mail from other people now. I have tons of people calling me to say that I must have changed my E-mail. I hadn't, but last night I decided that after ten years or more of liking excite.com, I am bailing.

I hate this new format: I can't acess my e-mail contacts. We are having a major fm crisis and I can't get messages out to fm members so have to call. Go back to the original: it was colorful, had nice layout scheme, and I enjoyed using it for my homepage: now? I don't want to look at a gray, s\jumbled screen when I use my lap top. When are you going to get your act together and cater to your customers again.

They've done a horrible job. I've used Excite for god knows how long and have never had any issues till now. They've ruined a perfectly good service. Here is an Excite email contact form!http://mailit.excite.com/mailit/maincsform.jsp

This new system is horrible. I actually pay for a premium account because I have so many emails stored but now I want to cancel. It will probably take me a hundred years to migrate all my emails out to another email account, but I can't see sticking with using it if it stays like this. You would think Excite would have seriously tested this before releasing it. It seems they've focused on the look and the glitz of the site rather than actual functionality. What a pain.

They cancelled my account because I don't "get enough e-mail". When I tried to remake it, the process was like chewing glass. I didn't pay for anything, but I still want a refund.

Cannot access email from some versions of explorer. Significantly slower. An awful email client.

I would welcome back the old system just for ease of reading mail. Speed is sacrificed for glitz. It takes forever to just download mail and then some to delete unwanted mail.......it's like watching paint dry.

Go back to the old format. It was easir to acces and the font size readable. Downloads were faster as well. No waste of time etc.

What good is an email service if you have no address/contact list and messages are sporadically sent or received? It is very frustrating to have to rebuild all the info again (at another provider of course.) but, as mentioned by others, they do not seem very responsive or sympathetic. The new system appears to be slow, even with DSL, and there is now an extra screen to go through on the way to e-mail. The email screen itself is so cluttered with stuff that has large icons (you can make them sm ...

So slow. Strangely revised. Doesn't make any sense the way the real estate on the screen is laid out. Not user friendly. And today, over 18 megabyes of e-mails from that past 3 years have disappeared...just disappeared! To try to find the contact information for tech support is close to impossible and most of the time, there is no response from them anyway. Non has given the upgrade a good review. And unfortunately, I will have to switch after more than 10 years with Excite.

Font too small; windows too small; resizing them does not carry over to next session; everything is WAY TOO SLOW TO LOAD; do not want calendar, etc -- waste of resource; no response from Help team other than useless canned responses; no way to mark an email for follow-up other than Mark as Unread; advertising area at top and bottom are too large, leaving little area for list of emails; interface poorly thought out and not user-friendly; The column for Simple Click Contacts is too wide also and t ...

Very poor in relation to the competition eg. yahoo/gmail let you download your email folders into a zip file. Can't see why you would use excite anymore - and I've been using it for over a decade.

Excite was trying to do a good thing, and exciting thing. But it only made things much much worse. GO BACK TO THE OLD EXCITE, Excite! Or at least give us a link to choose one way or the other.

I have been waiting for several weeks to get my folders, old messages, and contacts back. I have switched my email to YAHOO CLASSIC which is a lot like the old excite. I do not recommend excite anymore. I do recommend Yahoo Classic instead.
