Good Points: Site had a nice friendly look and was easy to navigate

Bad Points: Good idea but didn't work right, lack of support

This service, when it started, was wonderful. It was a free, new site that loaded easily and fast, you could choose your own colour scheme, and the variety of different domain names you could use, were extensive and sometimes even amusing. It was like another.com before it became a paysite.

As of the writing of this review the site has been inexplicably down for a few weeks. Until today, in fact, the main page was not loading, however now it loads a domain registration site leading me to believe that they have shut down completely without informing their customers. I have had an account there that I use on a rare occasion because I always feel bad asking the few people who use it to switch my email address for close to four years (what can I say, I'm a glutton for abuse). At first glance, My Own eMail (www.myownemail.com) looks to be a good, reliable email site. In actual fact, it is nothing of the sort. True, you have a wide choice of free email address names, but the bad points outweigh the good. There is poor virus protection, leading to spam and virus emails trickling into the inbox every day, the attachment service rarely functions properly, and the entire myownemail.com site has been down for the past week, without offering any explanation to its customers. ...

My Own eMail need to make sure that when site goes down you can mail them about problem..and not just ignore you...
