    I had a wonderful holiday with my girls at the Double Tree Hotel, Florida for 2 weeks in April 2009 booked via First Choice.

    Unfortunately on opening my September credit card bill I've been charged again for the Hotel accomodation on what had been a fully paid package holiday. It would appear that First Choice have not paid the hotel, so the hotel have charged me direct to recover their money, leaving me with an additional bill of $991.

    Is this even legal to take the money without my consent when the dispute should have been with the Hotel and First Choice not me!

    Booked a 2 week holiday to Cuba for 5th October back in January, got a good price at the time and as the holiday was to celebrate mine and my husbands 50th birthdays, we upgraded to a superior room and the £252 supplement was added to the cost.     First Choice ruined what was meant to be a happy family holiday. The problems, I now know, were mostly at point of sale - in our case in January 2009, some seven months before departure. We booked through First Choice at their local office, and my main bone of contention is that they did not explain details which they most definitely could have done (as they have a full time rep working in the apartments we stayed in) and which would have made us book a completely different holiday to the one we ...

    we booked a holiday through first choice on line it asked for all our dates of birth, fair enough i put them all in my 15 year old was classed as adult so i paid an adults price so 3 adults and one child was going, later that day they phoned me to say my holiday wasn't booked because my child didn't have a bed because she was expected to share with my other daughter. even though she was paid as adult, during this conversation i pointed this out but got little response (they just said it was i gl ...

    We booked our holiday through First Choice and at that point the staff were helpful. But as soon as this was complete we felt we were an inconvienance. Our tickets were one week late from when we were informed they would arrive. When we contacted First Choice after a message was left for us, we were told we are too busy to take your call. When we questioned them about this there was no apology and no concern at the bad customer service they had offered.

    The Ocean Sands Hotel in Dominican Republic was amazing. The resort was exceptional along with the staff and local people. First Choice gave us a brilliant service and helped us to find this wonderful holiday.
    We were transported to and from the airport in a small executive coach towing a trailer with high sides and a lock for the luggage.

    Just got back from Lanzarote for a 1 week break (3 girls in our 40's). We stayed at Sun Tropical which was very family orientated. We got a great deal which was too good to refuse and included transfers, luggage and inflight meals. The rooms were cleaned regularly and staff were pleasant.     Our Honeymoon to Kenya was meant to be a trip of a lifetime but First Choice and the hotel did all they could to ruin it. First Choice was expensive, inflexible and when we had issues were non sympathetic and we felt cheated.

    The checking in process where all flights go to the same desks. Last time we queued for about an hour starting from outside in the rain!Wouldn't have been so bad had it not been that anyone who turned up late went straight to the front of the queue.Won't be going with first choice or thomson again!

    Overall I believe First Choice have a good offering on the long haul routes. I have used them twice and they provided a comfortable environment. I am not a fan of flying but they do a good job in the charter holiday market. I hope Thomson who have now bought them don't dumb down the quality.

    I would definitely fly with them again, flown 4 times over the past 3 years, this year I had booked via a local travel agents, with whom I had terrible problems with. First Choice were extremely helpful, allowed an extra 10kg of luggage allowance as we were getting married. Spot on company.

    We booked for the Santa day. Herded like cattle in a makeshift hut. Waited hours for rides that lasted seconds. Food dreadful. Complained about whole experience but told that everybody's expectations are different. ???? I would never ever go to Lapland with first choice again.

    Unfortunately, I think if I were to return to this resort it would not be with First Choice. Our flight out was excellent and we received really good service from Gatwick.

    On the way back our flight was delayed for 48 hours due to problems with the axillary engine which they knew about at Gatwick, but still took off?? Sent everyone up to the airport to wait for hours, when they could have left us at our resorts.

    6 20 yr old lads wanted a clubbing holiday in the sun, we told the saleswoman this and we were told this place she said was the main place in Zante. We agreed to book that holiday, when I got home and searched the internet I found out that it wasn't the main place of the island, so went in to complain.     Flight delay of 5hrs causing complete upheaval. Pick up was 4hrs before delayed scheduled departure. Airport only had manual check in which wasn't even open when we were deposited at airport. We had to stand for 2hrs going through check in. This delay caused us to miss our onward flight home from Manchester airport although we had allowed 4 and a half hours transfer time.     We have travelled several times and something has gone wrong almost every time with First Choice, on a two centre in Mexico no transfers were organised we had to pay for ferry and taxi and then claim back from reps, no-one to meet us from boat.

    I have made 3 calls to First Choice this month (May 08) and all them have left me astounded at the ineptitude of their staff. The first time I called I asked a few standard questions about what the rating of the hotel would be, as it wasn't quoted on their website. The lady put me on hold for 5 minutes then told me she would phone me back. She never did. When we rung up again to book the holiday we were transferred to 5 different agents and was on hold during for about 10 minutes. I was quote ...
