Bad Points: Flight was to WRONG AIRPORT (5 1/2 hr transfer). Hotel we paid EXTRA to change to was not good per Trip Advisor -had to change hotels twice at our expense to rectify their error.
General comments: First I booked a pre op holiday surprise as my husband was having a knee op. The hotel was in Marmaris but the airport the Lady in first choice agency booked us to was Bodrum not Dalaman hours away by coach. When I realised this and queried with travel agent the manager had a really bad attitude and stated I had been informed of this transfer and as an ex worker in the travel industry I should know which airports service Turkish resorts (I have never dealt with holidays to Turkey, and couldn't believe her attitude).
Eventually and at expense to us we changed to a hotel in Gumbet as they would not change our flights-upon looking on trip advisor the hotel was a dive. Changed to another hotel (more expense).
The hotel had been sold and had its stars removed -it wasn't very clean and most people moved and paid for accommodation else where. We where not expecting the Ritz for a cheap week in May but I will NEVER use first choice again. I spent thousands getting married abroad after that-first choices loss.

We booked our holiday with First Choice and after paying it off over a period of 1 year we made the final payment. A few days letter (surprise surprise) we got a letter back telling us that our hotel would be the epicentre for construction of a new aqua parc and that we would have to endure heavy machinery on site from 8am to 8pm. When I made the initial booking operator was very friendly, everything I requested he was able to do. Bad points, where do I start. They have taken all of the money for my holiday and have now decided to change this to a different airport and a different flight time. When I called them to complain they basically said 'tough' accept it or cancel. I explained that I would have loads of extra costs such as parking and hotels and they didn't want to know. Worst flight ever could not move in the seat very cramped conditions don't believe the hype about STAR FLIGHTS. I was on the isle seat and was banged with the trollys for the whole flight ,everyone felt like cattle lots of people complaning, what a laugh calling this a Star Flight never again

The hotel is very clean and very spacious,the rooms are always kept clean.
The barstaff are very friendly the hotel lays on a free shuttle bus to the beach, daily however you can walk to the beach in 10mins.
They provide a free launderette, everything is great, can't wait till we go again.See you all in Aug 2008.

First Choice provided us with excellent service for our honeymoon at the Napa Plaza hotel in Ayia Napa. We would certainly go there again! Our rep at the resort, Lisa Taylor was excellent, she couldn't be more helpful and was very knowledgeable about the area. I went to Austria with first choice to ski and it was brilliant every step of the way. The reps were excellent, they adapted to people brilliantly, people in their sixties liked them as much as the kids. If you went on your holiday to get drunk and be silly they would encorage it and if you went on your holiday to relax they would direct you to some great facilities, if you went to get in some serious skiing they would hook you up with the best equipment.

For the last 2 years our family have travelled to Alcudia in Majorca. We stayed at the Lagotel, which was a fantastic hotel, with great facilities and food. The First Choice reps were all very helpful and knowledgeable. We did not need their services much, but other people did, and reports from them were first class.

What can I say? The weather was awful as the island of Crete was hit by a mini hurricane. We were flooded and had no water for two days, and we had to use baby wipes to keep clean, and pool water to flush toilet. I appreciate that no one was equipped to deal with this, and the staff at the hotel were great, even managing to use a generator to get food prepared and served, but no one did anything for 4 days, and the entertainment was horrible - anyone can get up and mime and dance to Grease. We booked one week self catering in Ibiza with First Choice, and we stayed at the Orquidea Hotel, St Eulalia. When we were on the flight we were told that to watch the in-flight movie we would have to purchase headphones at £2.50 each. As there were 3 of us, we didn't, so we couldn't hear the film. The First Choice staff are very friendly, and nothing is a problem. I booked trips through the reps at the resort. Everyone was easy going and sorted things out straight away. I booked a hire car also through the First Choice reps, and I had a car delivered to the hotel the next morning.
Brilliant service! Will use again.

I used my teletext service page 266 to book a holiday with First Choice, after finding one and going through ALL the details, they asked for a deposit. Then someone else phoned me from First Choice saying she was the line manager and the original agent was having a coughing fit and couldn't talk, and said they needed more money for the holiday. JACUZZI NEVER FIXED NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES THE HOTEL STAFF TRIED.
FIRST CHOICE REP ILLUSIVE AND HARDLY EVER THERE.
SHE WAS NOT INTERESTED IN THE BROKEN JUCCUZZI - JUST LAUGHED IT OFF.
WHEN HURRICANE EMILY HIT - SHE WAS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND FOR 3 DAYS.

We have just returned from a glorious two week holiday to the Efem apartments in Icmeler in Turkey with First Choice, and all we can do is praise them.
On arrival at London Gatwick, we were shocked to find so many check in desks available, and all with staff behind them.
The last time we went to Turkey there was one desk and a queue a mile long, (not with first choice I must add).

I would just like to state that some air stewardesses with First Choice have no idea how to treat passengers especially children. They do not prioritise infants travelling when it comes to making passengers comfortable. They are deeply patronising and made no effort to hide this.

Our holiday to Praia d'Oura in Albufeira on the Algarve with First Choice could not be faulted. Accommodation was first class, with good restaurants and bars on site. All amenities of the resort were in easy walking distance. Reps were on hand twice weekly or on request. Gave very helpful info re local bus services, boat trips etc. A great holiday.
