Good Points: Musical player, very analogue sound, solidly build, great resale value, great after sales support.
Bad Points: Very plain display, but functional.
General comments: The Naim CD5i is for people that love Music and not for hifi buffs.
It has beautiful tonal balance, without exagerating any particular frequency.
Despite what some people would have you believe, it has great soundstage, both wide and deep, and it images brilliantly.
A very 'pacey' player that suits all types of Music, and lets a good recording shine.
It comes extremely close to my Sondek LP12 sound, so digital nasties is not a problem.
A big plus, the RCA outputs (as well as the DIN), for people that don't use Naim amplification.
I use it with a Meridian 556 + Audio Research LS2 amplifiers, and the results are nothing but magic.
