The Beeman 1040 Series are wonderful rifles, all you need once you have the rifle is a scope or red dot sight, I would recommend to anyone.

i was comparing prices about this Beeman 1040 Series gun and other air rifles. i bought this also at canadian tire. in the states you con bee beemans that shoot 100 fps for around 150 bucks. for 170 bucks i got this and its half the speed. same for this benjamin rifle .22 cal at canadian tire exact rifle in states same price but shoots 1100 fps and in canada only 500fps. it came to my conclusion that canadian tire purchases the rifles and switches the springs to reduce the speed to make it legal ...

Beeman 1040 Series doesn"t shoot, and the automatic safety is always off. i tried turning the safety on and off over and over and this rifle just won't shoot. it is defective, going to return it .

i think i've found out why it shot so poorly. the original breech seal got chewed up in the first 150 shots. i lost the second when it fell in the grass beneath my porch. i found a 7/16th o-ring at lowes that fit in my gun. ALMOST. the new seal wouldn't stay in the groove and kept snagging at the bottom on the sear and/or getting pinched at the top. beeman are sending 2 more seals. but after a careful look at the groove today, i noticed the groove had been mismachined and did not have a uniform ...

I own the beeman 1041 model. this is a great gun for anyone, i use the beeman 1222pellets at 7.3 grains, gamo tomahawk pellets at 7.8 grains and gamo magnums at 7.9 grains. they all shoot great but the gamo magnums have the most penatration. This is one of my favourite guns and i have shotten the crosman 795,2240, marksman 1790 and crosman powermaster 66. this gun is very accurate and well worth the money. the weight is just right for windy days. i would reccomend this gun to anyone looking t ...

I got th Beeman 1040 series air rifle for christmas i absolutly love it. i got gamo magnum pellets 7,9 grains and gamo tomahawk pellets 8.5 grains, i shot a woodpecker with a gamo tomahawk pellet, the bird died instantly. i perfer the gamo magnums for small game hunting, i shot a squirrel 10 yards awat with a magnum pellet and i hit it in the ear. the pellet hit the squirrel, went through leaving a nice exit wound, and keep on going like the pellet never even hit anything. i herd the pellet hit ...

All in all good but not much power to it. The Beeman 1040 series air rifle is solidly made and accurate but it has a low fps. Would still recommend, probably to beginners.

you get what you pay for and the Beeman 1040 series is no different. Its really accurate and solid. There is an extra confidence when you have this is your hands.
The only problem I have is thats its pretty heavy. This can tire your arms out after a while.
Still a great air rifle though.

I purchased the .177 from Canadian Tire. It was the highest velocity sold wihout an FAC/PAL. I did not have high expectations but was advised it would resolve my varment problem.
Factory sighting was so far off my first few shots literally didn't hit the old barn I pinned my target to. The "expert" at the factory must have been drunk! Took a lot of adjustments to zero. Still shoots all over the place >3" groupings @25m; supported.

Power is excellent - you have a choice 177 cal or 22 cal. For the money the Beeman 1040 Series can't be beat. Who cares where it's made. Very accurate and plenty of power, great product.

Good quality air rifle i would recommend it for any one look ing to buy a cheap but still durable gun. Good for shooting cans and card board targets. I got mine at S.I.R. Winnipeg Mb. (S.I.R. is now the Canadian Cabela's headquaters).

General NotesI've been curious about this model since I saw it on the shelf of a local retailer. The model 1073 comes with both .177 and .22 caliber barrels and can be taken down for easy transport (33 inches when broken down). Price is in line with many of the budget Gamo based springers on the market.Fit and finishI was pleasantly surprised by the finish of both the stock and action on this gun. Although the stock won't compete with most high end airguns, it is attractive with a dark even colo ...

This is a really good gun, its very accurate and extremely powerful. I have tested it for both accuracy and power against my other rifles and this does just as well, in some cases better than my other rifles. The Beeman 1040 Series is definitely worth getting, great value for money.
