General NotesI've been curious about this model since I saw it on the shelf of a local retailer. The model 1073 comes with both .177 and .22 caliber barrels and can be taken down for easy transport (33 inches when broken down). Price is in line with many of the budget Gamo based springers on the market.Fit and finishI was pleasantly surprised by the finish of both the stock and action on this gun. Although the stock won't compete with most high end airguns, it is attractive with a dark even colo ...

This is a really good gun, its very accurate and extremely powerful. I have tested it for both accuracy and power against my other rifles and this does just as well, in some cases better than my other rifles. The Beeman 1040 Series is definitely worth getting, great value for money.

I recently purchased my Beeman 1048 Model air rifle from Canadian tire in the south end of Sudbury, Ontario. I've had it for two weeks and I am more than pleased with my gun. I also purchased a Winchester 500 XS and was undecided between the two rifles, I decided to test the power and shot at a standard phone book. The Winchester 500XS (490fps)shot to page 79. The Beeman 1048 model (495fps) shot to page 294. Big difference for only 5fps.

My Beeman 1040 series is the Chinese version. The wood stock is beautifully finished and the metal parts are smooth and well blued. A solid, well balanced rifle with excellent accuracy and power. Standard sights are easy to use and grooves on receiver allow mounting a scope, which I did. Barrel lockup is solid and makes use with a scope accurate and repeatable. Good value for the money. Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the rifle. Only reason I don't give it a 10 is the delicate sight ...

I bought my Beeman 1040 at Canadian Tire for $169 (Which is way overpriced, but that is Canadian Tire's fault not Beeman) it is one of the newer models that is being made in China. For being made in China the build quality is actually pretty good, the breech locks up really solid and it looks like it will last me a while. This is mostly my fun gun, it handles really well and is pretty accurate. Really my only complaint with the gun is that they made everything out of wood and metal except the si ...

I bought my Beeman 1040 from Canadian Tire, and have had it for around three weeks. It is a .177 caliber pellet rifle, and the Canadian version (that I bought) shoots 495 feet per second. It's my first pellet rifle, and it's been a lot of fun for plinking so far. I've shot about 150 rounds through it to date, and I have very few criticisms. The only major one for me is the open sights, which are terribly cheap. The front sight is flimsy at best, and the rear sight actually moves around when you ...

I bought my 1041 from Canadian Tire they had only two in stock. I chose the one made in Spain with a factory mounted scope and muzzle break. Right out of the box it felt nice, all steel and nice wood. The scope needed slight alignment, but very nice to shoot. For the price I was pleasantly surprised. I had first purchased a Remington type knock off...I returned it after the first shot. I am getting ready to get rid of some Skunks in the rear yard...I believe this rifle will do it....

I got this gun at canadian tire for $180. I live in canada so the pellet speed is limited to 500fps. For a 495fps gun, this is very accurate, sturdy, well built, and has enough power for small game. Accuracy is poor with a dirty barrel so it needs to be cleaned very often. I put a 4 x 32 scope on it which works great. The groups with cheep Crosman Wadcutters averaged: 20ft-1/2", 40ft- 1", 60ft-2", and an aluminum can could be hit every shot at 150 feet. This gun is a teriffic plinker, and is ...

When I first bought the Beeman 1040 I opened the box and was impressed with what i saw but when i cracked the barrel the trigger instanly broke. So I went and got an exchange and opened it up today. The F=first thing I did was crack the barrel and then the trigger broke again so I cracked it again and some how it managed to fix itself. After that i took it out side to try it and at the first two birds i shot at, it missed so my next target was a blue jay and at 60 yards up in a tree i took aim a ...

I purchased the Beeman 1040 Series Air Rifle at Canadian Tire on Friday for around 200 dollars, including a tin of Wadcutter pellets. It is now Tuesday and it has left me quite impressed. After around 250 shots I have noticed no problem with how the rifle shoots. The sights are rather delicate and need frequent adjustment. Over the weekend I've taken down 4 squirrels, all in one shot each. The stock on the rifle is a wonderful hardwood and seems to be very good quality. The shots are quite c ...

I got my Beeman 1048 .177 air rifle 2 days ago from C.Tire and it hasn't left my hands since. The 1048 models come with the nickel plated barrel, ported muzzle, and a mounted 3-9x32 scope (very cool looking but a little more pricey than the 1041). Although I haven't got to take it outdoors yet I have shot it indoors at about 40'. After the wadcutters rip out the center of the paper target you can then shoot out the size 12-font numbers around it (dead on every time). I suggest you get one of the ...

What a wonderful rifle. Have had excellent results target shooting. Also installed the Beeman 4x32 scope and had excellent grouping. I have compared this rifle with the Crosman Quest and found the Beeman 1040 a better rifle for a much lesser price.

I didn't think you could get this kind of accuracy with an air rifle under 600 fps from Tire or without buying a Diana. I was very surprised at the construction of the Beeman 1040 air rifle as well. For a while I thought the only rifles available for this price, with all steel and hardwood stocks, were Slavia's. Once the scope was tweaked I was shooting groups of 1-1/4

I got the Beeman 1040 gun yesterday and tried it today. I found it to be very accurate at short and long range distances. I was just going to check my target when I noticed a squirrel hop on my fence about 25 feet away so I decieded to try and take it down. I shot hit it in the chest. It ran about 5 steps and died. So far I found this gun very good.
