    Good Points: Brave reworking of Frankenheimers astonishing original. Sharp script, great acting and a genuine sense of paranoia. It also has a bone chilling turn by Meryl Streep that rivals Angela Lansbury's in the original (that's some going)!

    Bad Points: It won't erase your memory of the original.

    General comments: I normally detest remakes, but The Manchurian Candidate has real merit. And while not as bold as the original, it works!
