I bought a Haenel Model 303 springer air rifle in 1973 at the age of 13 for £13.60. Used it a lot in the garden plinking old toys. Left it with my parents when I went off to University and the Army. Dug it out of their loft last week for my 8-year-old son to use. After 30 years, it only needed a bit of external rust removal, but functioned perfectly. Hope to be using it on rats and bunnies soon with my son. Great value, safe, accurate with and without 'scope and powerful.

was stationed in Germany and visited east Berlin a few times. Bought the Haenel model 303( on one of my east side trips. The money conversion to East German from U.S. was high. I paid $25 U.S. dollars. Wish I had bought more.
Good balance, sights have adjustments to fit any shooter although barrel was out of alignment took a bit of work

I bought this Haenel Competition Model 303 Super .177 caliber air gun in 1983 from a East German vendor. I paid $35.00 dollars U.S. for it. This gun features a blued barrel and chamber, varnished hardwood stock, adjustable match trigger, match barrell, match air chamber, globe front sight, diopter rear sight with micrometer adjustments for windage and elevation. The rear sight also features an adjustable mount for depth adjustments to accomadate the shooters preference. The gun fires at 646 fps. ...

I bought this Haenel model 303 air rifle brand new in the early 70's for £12 and despite owning various other brands since, this is the one I've hung on to,I've just dug it out of my shed where it's languished for the last 15 years and she still performs well with not a hint of wear.
