Good Points: Depp's Scottish accent, beautiful sets, strong BRITISH casting.
Bad Points: Seemed a bit low budget, almost as if made for TV?
General comments: Finding Neverland - Given the title -"Neverland" plus the subject matter, (an introverted adult who arouses suspicion by playing with small boys), it's inevitable you will keep thinking of parallels to the Michael Jackson trial. Depp's Scottish accent is truly astonishing. Watch out for Julie Christie's powerful performance. Plus the film features Dustin Hoffman, in a strange role so minimal you wonder how he could have been bothered getting out of bed for it. The film does have its magical moments, however, and a very strong cast. The film comes alive with the stage play of Peter Pan which is almost a "film within a film" and -- even to an old cynic like me -- wonderful. I predict we will see this one on the Christmas TV schedules very shortly. It does have a very "made for TV" feel to it. Did I mention that Kate Winslet has a big part and performs some tedious "death bed" type scenes?....don't let this put you off though.

Finding Neverland - This film is one of the most enchanting films of 2004.
It is a sweet and magical film.
Depp performed his Scottish accent in a brilliant way. This film will at least bring a tear to your eyes. This film is a considerable achievement.
I would recommend this film to all ages.
