Good Points: Easy check in, clearly signposted. Good, clean and spacious toilets.
Bad Points: No luggage trolleys in the departure lounges! Also, catering services are few and far between, with sandwiches etc only in Catalan.
General comments: Barcelona airport is a small airport compared to London airports, but this airport is easy to check in. There aren't many catering facilities, or things to do, so the time does pass slowly. Range of shops is very limited. No smoking signs are ignored, and airport staff do not enforce them. I recommend you take your own food.
Good connection with Areobus, which departs from each terminal every 10-15 mins, and takes you right to the centre of Barcelona. There is no metero line, however, and the train only takes you as far as Santes, no good for the tourist areas of Les Ramblas and Placa de Cataluna, which are where most of the hotels are. Use the Aerobus!!
