Their app messes up the booking but there is no refund. Cheaper to book direct with airline and the airline will actually help unlike opodo who are super stressful. AVOID

I looked up flights through a search engine, and found one for EasyJet through Opodo. These sites are usually free. Not Opodo. You are given membership when booking, hidden in terms and conditions. Then a month later they fleece you for Annual Membership which is £70. The email I was sent in between this time looked just like an advert, not explicitly pointing out membership. You can't cancel membership online. You have to ring up. They are banking on people not reading through myriad terms and conditions. This is little more than a sham. Go direct to the airline and avoid Opodo. I have since heard of several people who have had the same experience.

This is probably the worst deal I have experienced. I often travel for business and leisure sometimes, basically every month I am inside a plane. This means I can compare flights pretty well, but it was my first time and last time with Opodo, unfortunately. I have used Momondo as a search engine for a flight and proceeded with Opodo, all information was filled in and the price for this was 265,- Eur, when it was deducted from my account it came up to 295,- Eur, nothins is mentioned on the invoice, unbelievable right? Be careful with this sham.They rip you off without any notice in the sketchiest way. Also, they never replied to my emails and phone number never gets you anyone to help. Resuming, this is the reality of sham. They take from everyone and then is no way of refunding your money back, Please keep in mind this when you buy any flight via Opodo.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!...Opodo's management after the car hire company was even more appalling! I booked car hire via Opodo in Turkey. A car hire company called DMR. All paid up front and was suppose to have 500Euro blocked on the card as per Opodo documentation for hire on arrival. The company tried charging me 1000Euro then settled at 500Euro. Rather then blocking the amount, they charged it to my card resulting in transaction charges, contrary to the contract signed by Opodo. Most car rentals only block the amount so no charges made. On returning the car, I received no refund and the car company said they will return it after 4 weeks????. No where in any contract with Opodo or the car company it says this. On return and after a lot of searching I found the complaint email for Opodo to try and get my money back and get answers to numerous questions about how nothing seems to have followed the contract i signed to hire the car through Opodo. Someone called Nahed kept telling me it was related to extra insurance which is not refundable (clearly it was not!). Then eventually said it was a deposit but not actually taken from the card (clearly was on my statement with transaction charges), then even though I asked to have the matter escalated, this still did not happen and ignored my requests. I have supplied all statement, copies , charges etc....and still not resolved or spoken to anyone senior. Understand that if you use Opodo, there is no complaints process to escalate anything, the contract you sign may not be followed by third party companies, and they just do not listen or read your emails/complaint! I have never come across a company like this or the employee Nahed who repeatedly does not acknowledge to escalate a problem..... I need to find the regulatory body for this company. Even the CEO does not reply backor get senior management to look into the problems.

I booked to go to the States Oct '23 and paid the extra to have Opodo process my ESTA visa for me. 9 1 hour+ phone calls in the 2 weeks before travel chasing them because no one had contacted me for the details I knew they would need to process the application. 2 days before I was due to travel I discovered that they hadn't passed a request onto their 3rd party company who do the visa applications for them - the visa says "allow 72 hours for processing". I ended up doing it all myself including paying for it. I am now regularly chasing my refund and always getting a copy paste "we're dealing with your issue". I don't believe them, it feels like placation in the hope I'll drop it! Absolutely appalling customer service, the stress they caused before my trip was horrendous, star clear if this dreadful company

Very bad service. Not recommended! they charged me again a month later and failed to give me my money back, even though I received a confirmation letter saying they would.

I had booked two flights and was subscribed to Prime. For some technical reason i could not unsubscribe with the required time frame. I sent them an e mail and within a couple of hours they had unsubscribed me. Thank you and well done
