“NEVER EVER USE THE POD PEOPLE” You book your flights four months in advance from a European capital to a Latin American capital through the Pod People, and pay by credit card. A week later you get an email telling you that some of your flights have been changed. The timings are OK. A week later you get another email telling you that some of your flights have been changed AGAIN. The Pod People won't tell you what the changes are. Opodo are the worst people to cancel a flight or to change any details of the flight.I realised I had booked the wrong return flight so I called Opodo two minutes after booking to change the time and they wanted to charge me £85, a disgrace, I dont mind an admin fee but this is a bit to much. Nightmare when they took my money and their system 'forgot' to book my flight and their system 'forgot' to tell me. Rebooked same flight with another agent but had to pay more as the flight is this week. Then... They then took £471.30 twice from my current account for a flight that they never booked. I am nearly £1000 out of pocket thanks to them. I have been on the phone and email for 2 complete days with Kayak, Opodo, my bank, VISA trying sort this out. “Beware, don't trust this company they cost me £1600.”

Beware, when using this site to book multi-airport destinations. I booked and paid for flights for myself and wife to Houston with return from San Francisco foolishly assuming I would get a good price. Subsequently, I needed to add another passenger to the same itinerary and not having my Opodo credentials to hand, checked availability with British Airways and was horrified to find that their price for the same the same flights was £1600 cheaper than Opado!. So after I didn't use my return flight I called Opodo to ask for some money back. They told me I couldn't get a refund on theflights but was entitled to airport tax refund. They said they would take away the £25 per ticket charge and then give me £30 refund. I agreed to that. They took £65.00 out my account separately from my flights payment and said I agreed to, which I didn't and have come up with different excuses why. I asked them to send me a copy of original booking so I could see this payment and of course they havn't still fighting my case reason why I am checking other reviews.

On the final leg from Brussels to London, We were told the booking status was not reserved or confirmed because China Eastern Airlines have no relationship with Brussels Airlines which was the carrier of this leg. As previously mentioned, it is the airline that is responsible in the event of a failure to fulfill the conditions of the transport agreement.

“Opodo added an extra £51.60 to my debit card ”

Booked 4 one way flights for my son & 3 friends. Total cost for these Monarch flights & 2 hold bags was £245.94. At checkout I took a screen shot of the amount. After clicking to authorise payment with my visa debit card I then got a confirmation email with an extra £51.60 added to my card payment. No mention of what this is for. I would not advise using Opodo.co.uk to book flights, unless you are using a Mastercard debit card. You will be charged at least an extra 7% without, as far as I could see, any due warning. Booked flights in the middle of 2014 for a flight in February 2015. Called Opodo 4 days before my flight was due to depart to confirm all was in order. They claim to have notified me in December that my reservation had been cancelled. Oddly, this is the only email I never received from Opodo. I have just investigated some fraudulent charges made to my account by a company and I found that it was Opodo that gave them my bank details! I will never use Opodo again; I'd used them for the last 10 years, and checked their website for almost every flight (about 10 or more a year) in that time. I am appalled at Opodos lack of compassion! !! My niece has had the worst time ever with opodo. Unfortunalty my mother, my nieces grandmother passed away on 2 january when my niece was in south africa. Long story short we got her flights changed to another airline as the one she was booked on could not accommodate her request to change, so this flight was cancelled and another one booked.
