    For a while Waking the Dead has been one of those 'uniting' shows - one which engages both my wife and me. This latest series has been good and bad in equal measure - the focus on the gradual mental unravelling of the lead character is at times plausible and difficult to watch, but occasionally the story line becomes too implausible for this programme to retain it's atmosphere of gritty reality. Overall it remains very watchable.
