There is no uncertainty Expedia is one of the top voyage booking websites. It contains different advantages that made it the primary pick in any traveler's record. Though really functional, the site's customer service is not because responsive because it should be. It decays its reputation as one of the leaders while competing with opponents. “Poor front-line service”

Expedia is a good web site. But the front-line service is not up to the standard. Expedia has "Best Price Guarantee" policy. Basically, it would match pricing with other lower offers within 24 hours of your purchasing. That is where I have poor experience recently. Booked a holiday to New York with friends in March 2012 all paid for then I recieve an email to say my flight from Birmingham is cancelled I called Expedia yesterday morning Wednesday 29th August 2012 I was promised a call back which didn't happen. “Badly timed connecting flights impeded on our holday”

I booked a holiday to Florence, Italy through expedia. I booke dit many onths in advance for 5 days. It was cheap and we had to take two flights there and two flights back which we were ok with. We were confident in the hotel as we had researched it before hand. I booked two business class tickets and when I was clicking on 'purchase button' it says: Price Change: The total price for your trip has changed from $1,636.00 to $736.00. 'Why did this happen?' . Expedia's customer service is lacking- I had to change my flight plans in mid trip, and they refused to help at all! I had to go to the airlines myself and request a change (which cost more than if I were to buy a new ticket all together). I am horrified at their service standards- even fast food chains will give more service than I got from them! “Expedia is very useful for worldwide travelers like...”

Expedia is very useful for worldwide travelers like holiday makers or backpackers because this site covers not only UK, but also some other nations such as US and Japan. Quite satisfied for the payment method. Credit cards are available. They have no tour packages in some regions. In Japan, they just deal with hotels only!

Expedia can save you money, but you still really need to research the destinations and possible flights/routes yourselves as Expedia do not cover all the information in enough detail to guarantee that you get what you expect. For instance my initial chioce of Hotel stated parking available nearby. In fact the nearest open public car park was 15 minutes walk away down a busy steep hill at £10 / day.
