Unfortunately, from the initial contact with improper identification of the calling center to higher pricing than working directly with the hotel chain, this organization lacks the proper transparency for best practice consumer support. “They Refuse to honor their cancellation policy”

Close to 4 hours of phone time to try and modify a hotel reservation for what is supposed to be a fun business/leisure trip with my wife to Chicago. Their operating plan for customer service is to say no, no, no and hope you go away. Supervisors have NO authority. If you can get to a manager I'm told you might get somewhere. “where is customer service once they have your cash”

i have been using expedia now for ten years booking groups of 10 to 12 people most times but i will never use them again. i recently booked a party of 6 to go to las vegas for my 50th birthday all of which i had booked for before and as such their details were on record with expedia. Expedia are the worse company I have ever dealt with. They took payments for my flights twice overcharging £2000. I only found out about their error when my bank cancelled all transactions on my bank account because I was massively overdrawn. Well we booked a deal with expedia. The booking wasn't done correctly as we asked for a kitchen in our studio (we have a little one with us). We asked them if they could change that and provide us with what we asked , they said they could not guarranty to have a kitchen. We decided to cancel the all trip as we didn't feel safe to travel with them. It's now 3 weeks and we are still fightting to get our money back on the flight. We booked our flights through Expedia as they worked out a little cheaper than going direct to the British Airways website. It worked out around £15 cheaper per person, so not a huge difference but it still helped our decision. Don't bother using expedia, If things go wrong and you need to call then you go straight through to India where they just hang up or leave you on hold at 10p per min. “St. Lawrence Suites and Residences steals your money!”

“One star is too much for them!”

First, we booked with them and they booked our hotel on the wrong day. We called and they said they changed the date and emailed us a new confirmation. Last night we arrived at the hotel in a torrential downpour and were told that all they had was a cancellation from Expedia for the night they accidentally booked. I fogot! We finally got a call back over and hour and a half later. We told them we would never book with them again and they told us that they are sending us a coupon for $50 to $75 off. Seriously????? No thanks!

Have just have the worst experience of my life trying to transfer to another hotel through Expedia. The worst customer services ever, must have been on hold for at least 1 hour each time I got through and asked to speak to a manager. The staff in the call centre cannot speak English and it takes ages to get to understand what you are wanting to get resolved. My holiday was ruined!!! They over booked and sent us to a dive/hostel. The review was misleading and I will never use this website again. They charged us $100 online then sent us to a $60 hotel… when we were sent to the sister hotel which was also a hostel call Los Angeles Adventure All Suites, front desk asked us for another $60. I would recomend you use trip advisor to find a hotel and call the location yourself to make a reservation. We tried to book the holiday online, but for some reason it would not complete the booking so we had to start the whole booking from scratch on the phone. “Making reservations with people that don't speak...”

In making my reservation I talked with a gentleman that couldn't speak English well. He kept saying that he understood my request and to stay with him. Expedia is the most untrustworthy site to use. They posted false advertisement of a room and refused to stand behind their product. I recommend anyone booking a vacation not use this site.
