As a Hotel (listed via Expedia) you would think Expedia would want to do well in the service department so that things run smoothly for guests. Ah...NO! They say they are the best in the Business...NO! They talk about support and growing your business...RUBBISH. “absolutely dissopointing”

By mistake I bought a vacation package on wrong dates but custom service charge me more than 400 and I only can change my dates for end of March even flights and the hotel still available on dates I requested( December) and I paid insurance but they even do not allow me to cansell my package Very disappointed… Read Full Review

“We got ripped off by the hotel on the reservation rate!”

We got ripped off by the hotel on the reservation changed the price and tricked the client to book the hotel from the price of $108 per night then changed to second night to $450+. It is totally ridiculous and not reasonable of the charges by staying this kind of small boutique hotel. I feel very disappointd on being cheated and tricky immoral advertisement on hotel.com misleading peope to book it. It stated that $108 then second coloum stated for 3nights $444. I used Expedia once and will NEVER use them again. Their site said there were rooms available on the dates I needed, so, I reserved some rooms - and when I got my confirmations, each reservation had a different date! I immediately called Expedia and explained the situation. They said that there were NO rooms available for the dates I wanted. So they just changed the dates!!!!! What the hell?!! Expedia employees have no customer relationship. Their resolution for everything is to ask for money from loyal customers. After spending over five thousand dollars on expedia for various trips, I had an issue with a certain ticket that was supposed to be extended. Do yourself a favour and look for a more reputable company. There are really awful reviews all over the net on these. They add extras in hidden charges and take your money and don`t refund in full. Incorrectly booked a friend's airline ticket using her maiden name but her passport shows her married name but she just got recently got divorced. Called both Expedia and the airline customer service. Airline customer said it is no problem but change has to come from Expedia because they ticketed the booking. “Slow to Refund”

I booked a return flight but called to cancel the return before it took place. I was sure I was entitled to at the very least a tax refund. They said I would get approx £360 (for the 4 of us) within 2-12 weeks. Why, it takes so long, to provide a refund, is beyond me. After 14 weeks with no refund I followed up to ask why and they said within 5-6 days. There was an error in my the travel dates. I confirmed by calling the hotel in advance of my trip and they did not catch the error (see expedia). I cannot get a refund because the hotel and expedia both claim that the other party is to blame. I am extremely disappointed in my experience with Expedia and its customer service. After calling no less than 5 times and being hung up on/disconnected each time after relaying my issue, it seems that the hang up treatment is an intentional ploy to not deal with the issue. Based on my recent experiences with Expedia, NO ONE should use them to book travel ever! I was astonished to find out that Expedia charged me more than $70 over a three day stay than the actual hotel did! It was no more convenient than booking through the hotel. I could have saved myself the extra money and the insult from the more than lackluster response from their "support" staff regarding my query.
