I am Expedia customer for a long time - more than 10 years, always was on Gold or Silver plus status. I would like to report that last two years service is absolutely mad. “charged me quite a bit more than the hotel”

I was astonished to find out that Expedia charged me more than $70 over a three day stay than the actual hotel did! It was no more convenient than booking through the hotel. I could have saved myself the extra money and the insult from the more than lackluster response from their "support" staff regarding my query. “Bogus Refund ”

Very frustrated with the rescheduling policy of Expedia. I supposed as long as you do not have to change your travel plans, everything would be ok. My husband had to have surgery and we had to cancel our flight for which we purchased the refundable ticket package. “Waste of money and time”

Booked a trip with Expedia, drove 4 hours to hotel and didn't stay in the room. I was still charged for the room even though I never set foot in it. To be quite honest we were afraid we might pick up bed bugs it was such a nasty place. Used Trivago to get a hotel in NYC. Linked me through Expedia. Error in dates cost me over 20 hours on the phone with the Expedia Customer Service desk in India and $250. Error in dates caused by system glitch. Complete runaround. Promises made to cancel rooms and fees, never happened. “They Refuse to honor their cancellation policy”

Close to 4 hours of phone time to try and modify a hotel reservation for what is supposed to be a fun business/leisure trip with my wife to Chicago. Expedia are the worse company I have ever dealt with. They took payments for my flights twice overcharging £2000. I only found out about their error when my bank cancelled all transactions on my bank account because I was massively overdrawn. Well we booked a deal with expedia. The booking wasn't done correctly as we asked for a kitchen in our studio (we have a little one with us). We asked them if they could change that and provide us with what we asked , they said they could not guarranty to have a kitchen. Don't bother using expedia, If things go wrong and you need to call then you go straight through to India where they just hang up or leave you on hold at 10p per min. “One star is too much for them!”

First, we booked with them and they booked our hotel on the wrong day. We called and they said they changed the date and emailed us a new confirmation. Last night we arrived at the hotel in a torrential downpour and were told that all they had was a cancellation from Expedia for the night they accidentally booked. I fogot! We finally got a call back over and hour and a half later. We told them we would never book with them again and they told us that they are sending us a coupon for $50 to $75 off. Seriously????? No thanks!

Have just have the worst experience of my life trying to transfer to another hotel through Expedia. The worst customer services ever, must have been on hold for at least 1 hour each time I got through and asked to speak to a manager. The staff in the call centre cannot speak English and it takes ages to get to understand what you are wanting to get resolved. My holiday was ruined!!! They over booked and sent us to a dive/hostel. The review was misleading and I will never use this website again. They charged us $100 online then sent us to a $60 hotel… when we were sent to the sister hotel which was also a hostel call Los Angeles Adventure All Suites, front desk asked us for another $60.
