This is the worst place ever to book the tickets. The customer service people have no manners to talk to anyone. Even the supervisor and managers are same. NOT TRUST-ABLE at all. I booked a holiday online last Saturday through Expedia (Singapore Airlines flights). They instantly HOLD the money on my daughters CCard, however the booking did not go through? I rang Expedia and they assured me the money would be released back to my daughters card within 48hrs (as it was the weekend) and I finalised our holiday using my Visa/debit card. We were told in a previous exchange that we could cancel trip insurance at any time. When I called up later to cancel I was kept on hold for a hour for what should not have taken 5 minutes at most, not allowed to speak to a person in charge to explain my complaint and recieved the most feeble "I am sorry" that I have ever experienced. “Cannot be trusted”

I have just booked a holiday with Expedia, and this is my experience. The first time of booking with Expedia, and they have taken two payments from my account, two of their advisors told me the amount they were taking and then promptly took more after checking their paperwork. Do not use if you need an itemized receipt for business travel. It is also a bad business model to not notify potential business users that itemized receipts will not be available. “Tough to work with”

Working with Expedia is nor only tough for the consumer but also for a hotel. We own a small hotel and work with a gds provider that was acquired by Expedia, since then we have had many problems working with them. They have forced through 1 night reservations which we do not accept on weekends, it took us a few months to get the correct room pictures aligned with the correct room descriptions, trying to get any of the room restrictions entered was a nightmare. Looked up number online and thought I was calling hotel directly. My mistake was staying on the line when I realized it was Expedia. The person of course used a "american" name but by the accent could tell they were from India area. Due to bringing a dog I wanted to make sure that it was on the reservation. As long as you don't run into an issue with them…they seem to be fine. Just try getting in touch with them to resolve an issue…its like a puzzle and a maze all at once. What a ride. Or should I say nightmare.

Do not book with Expedia/Trivago!!!!!!(same company). I am still owed a refund from August because of a fault on their part. This is my experience with them: I searched for accommodation for 7th-8th August 2015 on Trivago, checking several times that I had searched the correct dates. Chose to book Eden house in Key West.
