I am in the middle of installing magnet kitchen and so far this is the kitchen from hell. Poor quality product unlike what I saw in the showroom and poor poor workmanship. Products are damaged when delivered and yet installed. The measurnment of the plan is all wrong and does not fit within the existing kitchen layout. I would like a refund but so far is is a no as they want to put it right. Not sure how but I guess I need to give them the opportunity to do so. Never again touch magnet

Thee worst customer service i have ever come across, very helpful until order and desposit paid, then total lack of comunication. Once kitchen fitted the workmanship was well below what you would expect when spending thousands of pounds. 20 snagging points needed addressing from poor workmanship to ill fitting doors etc. Tried calling the shop dozens of times to be told the manager is out and will call you back to which he never did. It took 3 months and snotty calls to head office before i fi ...- Read Guest's review (112 words)

Wish we'd never walked into the Magnet Fareham showroom. 2 attempts over 7 weeks to get things right, and we are still left with an unfinished kitchen. They're not interested, awful communication throughout once we'd signed up. Pre-fitting survey didn't pick various things up which made for a nightmare. Don't bother with them, we wish we hadn't.- Read Guest's review (60 words)

We had a kitchen fitted by Magnet over 2 years ago. We had nothing but problems with Magnet (the fitters were fine " but did not get any help from the Shop/Head Office). We are now suing Magnet as they caused more damage by flooding our Kitchen, Dining Room and Living Room, while they were installing the kitchen. They used unqualified staff to connect the plumbing; the gas etc and we had to call the H&S Executive in.
The units were damaged before they were installed and even worst after the ...- Read Robertvmmann's review (347 words)

Magnet Kitchens provide the personal service and expertise you'd expect from a small local business with the back-up of a national organisation. Good range and knowledgeable staff. Robustly constructed units and really good value for money. The people get to know you and really couldn't be more helpful.- Read luddite girl's review (53 words)

I think it's important to give credit where it is due. I was very happy with Magnet. I had a few adjustments post contract and they accommodated us before fitting. The fitters were courteous even though we could tell they were busy. I was happy.- Read Guest's review (53 words)

I felt that Magnet Kitchens' design service was not as good as advertising lead me to believe.Excellent fitting service.I found the after sales service to be disappointing. Shop seemed defensive and dismissive to me when I encountered a problem. Not what I would have expected from magnets.- Read Guest's review (64 words)

Wasn't mentioned that the dark wood kitchen was actually pine and marks through at the slightest knock. I feel it is badly designed as I had to get a cupboard cut to fit fridge in even though we had given the measurements to the salesman/designer in the shop. Also one of the corner units is seemingly so badly designed only my 8 year can get into it at a squeeze.
Magnet appeared disinterested in our concerns and have not offered to rectify the problems. They are not going to be recommended by me ...- Read markmitch's review (104 words)

After much agonising over design and door style we finally chose Magnet to fit our new kitchen. The fact that they were the dearest of our three quotes at just over 20k (3k dearer than any other) did not deter us as the service we received from our local shop in Chichester was in a different class to to their competitors. The staff always inspired us with confidence and the installation team were fantastic. The result is stunning and I really struggle to find anything negative about the whole ex ...- Read unamevad's review (136 words)

Work started on time in March. After completion the Manager and surveyor found so many faults they said they would replace everything that was faulty. One fitter arrived for 2 days. Since then - it is almost September - we are still waiting for our kitchen to be finished. I feel absolutely disgraced and as though I have not been given a decent service. I would never recommend Magnet to anyone.- Read g hopping's review (84 words)

Having read a number of MAGNET complaint stories we believe we avoided most of these issues by simply recognising in our dealings who the best in house designer was and accepting in their professional opinion who was the best installer they would personally recommend and were we prepared to wait for that person to be available.
We should also add that the designer had 2 years previously assisted in designing our bedroom furniture scheme and also chose a excellent fitter.
So people not the produc ...- Read martyn cresswell's review (163 words)

I would never do business with Magnet again. Although the initial design consultation was good, every aspect of the 'full circle' service since then has gone from bad to worse. We paid for the kitchen in full (a mere £15,000 I might add) and still don't have a completed kitchen now - at the end of August. I've written to Head Office twice and received no acknowledgement from them yet - they simply forwarded the letter to the Fulham office who then called us to organise the next stage of i ...- Read Annoyed at Magnet's review (222 words)

Magnet started to fit our kitchen in MAY its now August and its still not finished.
Disappointed with customer services/ complaints department.
I never receive contact regarding details or changes.
They attempted to deliver the wrong kitchen to us?
Also they cancelled our fitting dates TWICE and I did not receive notification of this.- Read Guest's review (56 words)

I decided to use Magnet as I had previously had one of their kitchens whilst living in London some years ago. I made the very expense mistake of ordering not one but two, one for myself and one for my daughter. After four months of frustration trying to have things put right we finally applied for arbitration with the Furntiure Ombudsman. This resulted in no contact from the Ombudsman for seven months and only after promting for a reply did we discover that it was a complete waste of time and ef ...- Read Guest's review (189 words)

Had my Magnet Kitchen fitted February 2004 - yes 2004 and still not right! The design failed, the fitting, electrical appliances and gas boilers failed, wrong fridge, workmanship of fitter very poor. NOW the cupboards have started to crack and peel, the plinths the same but we have been told even though the kitchen is covered by the 15yr guarantee that it's our fault due to excess water! On the top plinths? How can a damp cloth for cleaning cause this? a £15,000 kitchen falling apart afte ...- Read Brownchester's review (148 words and 1 comment)

In our opinion the installation by Magnet Kitchens was poor with insufficient checks performed on e.g. plumbing.
Result was a leak behind the kitchen cabinets that seeped under the tiles and throughout much of the house foundations. The resulting flood once detected took almost a year to dry and repair. Meanwhile we have been heavily penalised by the house insurance company and Magnet has not yet openly admitted responsibility, nor did any of the subcontractors.- Read Guest's review (98 words)

I thought the attitude of the sub-contracting firm was very poor, including calling round and reminding me to pay their bill when a) I had only had it for 4 days and b) there were still items on a snagging list that they had not attended to. These were attended to and I paid the bill. Since then some other items have needed attention and it seems impossible to get them back, despite several calls to the Magnet showroom. I can't understand why Magnet carry on using them, when there must be fi ...- Read Guest's review (147 words)

Here's just a sample of a long list of bad points of Magnet Kitchens that I experienced. Completely gave up with the Fulham branch, moved on to the Kingston one, cannot think of one positive thing to say about them, I thought their customer service was disappointing, 75% of the kitchen looked damaged, doors chipped, wrong doors delivered etc etc
Rang through to customer service with complaint regarding delivery of kitchen and attitude of staff at 4.45 pm on a friday, nobody answered the phone ...- Read jordan12's review (185 words)

me and my husband are not the type to write reviews, however we found the service we received at magnet Bournemouth to be so AMAZING that we felt we needed to let people know about it.
in the past we have spent up to and including £25'000 on kitchens thinking spending this kind of money would buy our dream kitchen. we have just spent a fraction of this amount on a magnet kitchen. the service and product we received was nothing short of superb. the designer was very skilled, professional a ...- Read Guest's review (248 words)
