went to hire a car from 1pm Friday 30th dec for 3 days to return monday 1pm was told this was not possible as the place was closed on the Monday so I woul;d have to pay for 4 days, however when the car came up to pick me up late as usual, I was told that they were open on the monday but as I was hiring at 9 am , I had changed my arrangementsi couls change to the 3 days, as I was being charged for the 4 days. this is just another way they use to use get money, another one is to blackmail you… Read Full Review

Received a hire car from Enterprise, via insurance company, after a bump (not my fault). The gentleman who dropped off the car was extremely polite and friendly and the car was a 2016 plate and very nice. No complaints on that score. Prior to drop off I was asked over the phone to pay £1 deposit, which I did by card, and was also asked if I wanted to pay £10 per day to cover my excess direct with Enterprise which I refused. I am an enterprise plus customer and have used Enterprise on numerous occasions, always a bit of gamble what car you get and they do tend to blur car classes to suit themselves. However never had a problem till a booking made for the weekend before Christmas 2016. Booked a standard car (shown as a vectra) so expected some kind of saloon, bearing in mind standard is the best you can book before going to premium on their website. Lots of people, just take great service for granted and have lots to say when things have gone wrong but nothing to say when things are great. I hired a car via my insurance company after a accident. “Buyer Beware”

Enterprise UK will do their best to rip you off in whatever way they can. On collection they advised there was no need to check the wheels or tyres as they only assess the car's body on return. A different story when you do return the car! They took additional funds from my credit card without advising they were doing so, despite having promised to provide advice re the outcome of discussions. “An expensive experience with Enterprise Rental”

I rented a car for a day-and-half from Enterprise Car Rental Sealand Industrial Estate, Chester, UK). While completing the paperwork required to collect the vehicle, they tried to persuade me that the excess insurance I had taken out with a third party was invalid (‘probably not applicable to our cars’). I was contacted by the Area Manager about this case. He told me that he had himself pushed the misaligned panel back in place and admitted that I had been frivolously charged £1000 - which was returned to me. Moreover, it is clear that the local manager had told me a pack of lies about the car having to go to the garage for repair. My conclusion about this company remains unchanged: they suffer from an ethical deficit at both senior management and lower level. Avoid them.

We hired a car from Enterprise Car Rental as were we racing in UTMB, we had to wait an hour for our car but otherwise everything seemed ok with the lease. However when we returned the car very early we had to put the keys in the box as no one was around so we completely photographed the car as we were worried they would hold our deposit. Rented a car last July from Enterprise Car Rental at Stansted airport and they never once mentioned the Dartford crossing charges which is rather strange given that many customers (especially from abroad) are very likely to use the crossing if going into London. With children in the car and paying attention to other things, never saw signs about the charges when approaching the crossing. The details are as I set out in my review. I rented a van using the online booking service over the weekend of 8/9 October for one day's rental on Monday 10 October. The location was Enterprise at Glynn Gsp Bexhill (which I think is classed as your Hastings depot). I received a call on the morning of 10 October to say no vans were available. When I asked how I was able to book a van online they were not able to help me. I had to hire a van from another company at the last minute, at a higher rate and further away. “Three months and still no deposit refunded”

The antics Enterprise car rentals have brought on are unbelievable. Firstly, charged my account 49 pound for excessive damage to vehicle which was a scratch five inches long. After a reviewer they re-embursed my account the 49 pound. Then claimed that the vehicle was returned a day late. This also was a lie as it was returned 30 minutes early. I can't believe that it's legal to take your money for a car you request and then on pick up give you something that's totally not appropriate saying 'they don't guarantee any requests'! my company hired a large estate car to transfer 3 professional drivers (with luggage) for 3 days . with the hope that we could all share the driving . on arrival , we were told that the car had gone , and we were left with a Hyundai i10 ! they reduced the price to £52 - but were told that excess at this price was £1000 - and reduced excess to £100 would cost an extra £40 !!! “Poor Service, will not be Back”

I used to rent from Enterprise on a regular basis and until now always found the service good however after today I will be in no rush to use them again. I rent a van on 18 July 2016 for 24hrs, the van was returned and been told the deposit of £200 will refunded in my account within 24 to 48 hrs. Over two weeks later the deposit still not refunded.
