“Overcharged more than quote”

I would not recommend renting from them! I recently rented a vehicle and was quote 70/ week and 120 for the bumper to bumper, which was an awesome deal. Much lower than the online quote. However, when I went to return the vehicle they tried charging me 399.00 for the entire week. I was like no that is not what I was quoted. Told them I was quoted the 70 per week. “Shoddy Service + Lies”

I was involved in a car accident earlier this year and was advised that Enterprise would provide me a courtesy car and recover the costs from the other side. “Don't bother!”

Booked a van hire face-to-face over the counter at the Fareham office. I was told van was booked OK. Turned up on the day to collect van, spoke to same staff member, only to be told that there was no record of my booking. They weren't even apologetic, just said 'there's no vehicle here for you'. “Misinformation, Misleading just screwing you over.”

Would not recommend enterprise to any one at all. First time I was there was unorganized and I was waiting for about 10 minutes before I got taken care of. My insurance was taking care of my rental for the time being until we worked out the details with my current car. They decided that my car was a total loss. “Wouldnt recommend to my enemy”

I hired a van from Enterprise to move house. We were moving far away so we needed a large van. I agreed to pay 23.98 to reduce the excess incase there was an accident on the motorway. I also agreed to pay a reserve of £200 for the deposit, but was told this would be refunded on monday morning. I was not told about the £200 online. “Lip service to customer service”

Down graded the car I ordered claim to have told me but didn't. On the return I rang and asked them If I dropped it down could someone run me back they said they had no one on site and they would ring me at 4.30.. At 5.30 I gave up took it back and got a taxi home. Not before I had stood in an empty office for 10 minutes. “Enterprise Rent a Car ”

I was shown around a car; there was no damage to the exterior and then then was shown the tyre and the puncture repair kit. The parcel shelf was not discussed as being present or not present. On returning of the car, I was astonished to hear that the parcel shelf and he deliberately removed the shelf and was charged an additional £200.00. “they are no better in the UK”

Lazy, lackadaisical, said all the correct things but delivered nothing. “2 months and still waiting for a refund”

Van rental received a stone chip to the front windscreen during the rental while going down the motorway. Only a small chip and no MOT failure. Staff not sure if could be repaired so they said would ring with the outcome. Took a week for them to get back to me at which point I found out the windscreen had been repaired the day after the repair and the cost is £42, not bad really. “Shocking Treatment of Old Lady”

Rented out a van for 24 hours. Upon picking up the van a staff member spent at most a few minutes checking the van. This is my first time renting so I was relying on her trained eye to pick up any damage that was hard to spot to the untrained eye. Booked a van 9 days in advance for pick up 9am. From stapleford, had a call day b4 that van would be ready at 2pm due to error. When we went to collect...no van. Told could have nxt day at 9 but would now come from Redhill, rang them..no van..they said was coming from traffic st,rang them..no van, after losing the will to live finally got a van...from Worksop.. “Worst customer care”

Wow - Just called the Rotherham Enterprise Office to advise i am running a little late attending our meeting today to be informed the car has already been repaired and the company will now be invoiced. Guess what, no call to me was made as a result of it ''not being appropiate as i may have been working'' they really were just going to wait for me to attend to advise me of this.

I am now awaiting a call back from a manager and i have to admit this was suggested by the advisor who answered the phone not that i think this will assist.

I do hope that they have taken some photos of this damage as i am keen to see these.........starting to doubt their being any damage in the first place.

18.09.14 - Car collected

18.09.14 - (7.30pm) Returned home to discover damage form posted through door

19.09.14 - (8.30am) - Called Enterprise logged dispute and arranged to visit

19.09.14 - Car repaired (time unknown)

19.09.14 - (5.20pm) Called to advise of a delay in attending. Told damaged repaired

“Avoid them!! They will cheat you to charge extra money”

I rented a car through enterprise a couple of weeks ago through kayak.com. The price announced was 100€. At the rental office I had to pay other fees and a mandatory insurance; it was 160€. I know that this type of things occur frequently so it was ok for me. The week after I was going to need a car again so, as my previous experience was ok, I did the same. We recently hired a Vauxhall Insignia from Enterprise at Ipswich. The staff were friendly and helpful and the car was great with just a couple of scuffs. The downsides were that their site and paperwork needs to make more clear that you need to take proof of address and licence counter-part.
