    Good Points: Fast-paced, good crack between host, panelists and contestants. Plenty of special guests like Richard Stilgoe.


    Bad Points: Can be difficult to play along. I average between 3 and 4 worders and struggle on the numbers game.


    General comments: The jewel in Channel 4's crown, Countdown has been a staple of UK broadcasting for many years now, it is great fun, a favourite of pensioners, but revered by students too, Countdown is a trusted favourite on our screens. Following the death of "twice nightly" Whiteley, Des Lynam and now Des O'Connor have sat in the famous host chair and Countdown remains very popular.
