“Laudible LAX Experience”

My Hertz experience was excellent over this past weekend at LAX (6/27-6/30). Upon arriving, I was surprised at how effectively and efficiently the rental Kiosks were at LAX. The advisor, although via a screen, was very helpful. On my return, Lewis Simmons was extraordinarily helpful to get us to the airport from the return/drop-off. “Never Again With Hertz - they lie!”

Booked my confirmed resv 9 days in advance, arrived to find no cars available. For 1 hour they lied to ~15 other confirmed customers saying the cars were just being prepped. The truth came out they were waiting and hoping for cars to show up that could be rented to us! To make matters worse the all other airport and offsite rentals companies were mostly sold out. I will never ever rent a car from hertz ever again! Horrible service! When I went to rent a car after I got into an accident they only has two cars for me to chose from! They have me the most uncomfortable car On this planet, and to top it of the girl that helped me had the nastiest attitude ever! If only we had read some of these reviews before booking our rental car through Hertz. We booked our car online approx two months before our pick up date. On arrival at Washington Union Station to pick up our pre-booked car we were told that they had a little problem, which in fact was a huge problem as they did not have a car for us. I rarely respond to the requests for my experience with a company, this however merits a change to that. My experience with Hertz was a total disaster. I booked the car a week in advance. When I arrived in Loveland I was told that they had no car for me. How can that be when I booked ahead? They checked the area and made a reservation in Longmont. Very dishonest people in Hertz billing department. I was 20 mins over due to return my car, especially due to traffic and long waiting queue by the reception. They charges me for a whole day just because I was 20 mins overdue and did not even inform me about the charges they were putting on my credit card. Booked car hire for Malaga Spain. Did not request insurance as had cover from third party. How ever when we returned to uk Bang Hertz had charged our card for car insurance. Just modern day robbers. We have rented cars in our 5 years of traveling in Italy with never a complaint or scratch on any rental.But this year's rental was THE WORST! Do not rent from this company. They are the most unhelpful people, not being able to answer a simple question about how much reserve you need on your credit card to hire a car. DO NOT HIRE FROM HERTZ! I did and wish I hadn't. I had an extortionate bill for a two week hire of a mini van. I didn't know what charge to expect originally so just signed up (a reputable company?) my Micra hire car got scratched overnight in public parking. a key scratch left side. I have excess cover, so on my return in Geneva I accepted the bill, for 1300 swiss francs, and left the car with the trainee, had the badge,to get my flight.
