just finished a 7 day rental from dollar rental i have used this company for 10 years and i can say this the first time i have bad service first thing when we got to the rental office we had to wait near 45 mins they my contact with carhire 3000 said that the first tank was free which to me means return the car empty no way dollar rental charge me for the tank of gas i will take this matter up with carhire 3000 now to the car when we got to the car it had just been washed and looked really good...

“Deception and Hidden fees @ Orlando Dollar Car Rental”
Our online estimate of total charges was $126.56. Our actual charge was $316.87. The agent was not forthright about an additional driver charge, a conferecchg fee and the actual price of additional insurance. Even though we added the insurance, the quoted total was questionably too high. The agent did not provide us with a hard copy of fees to review before signing & when we wanted time to discuss the new "high" charge, she rushed us to sign and assured us that all was correct. Be careful when it comes to upgrades! We rented a car for one week, and we got an upgrade for the next bigger class. The salesman said it would be ten Dollars a day, so 70 for the whole week. As we got the bill one week later, he charged us 10.99 per day + 8.50 Taxes. When I asked him about that, he became very rude and said we should look better at what we sign. I went to the Dollar car rental desk at Orlando Airport where the Dollar representative was insistant on selling me extra insurance. I'd been told that every insurance I would need had been pre-paid in the UK but the desk clerk assured me it had not. This review is virtually a word for word account of my own experiences a month before. Auto Europe were the agents but the airport was Fort Myers. I almost signed for a $215 extra charge for "Roadsafe" or something like that. The CSA said I was the the only person who had ever refused to pay it! Just what you need after 11 hours of flying. Main moan: Guy at the Dollar Car Rental desk sold us a Sun Pass for Turnpikes ($60) saying some gates unmanned and if we passed through without the pass we risked a violantion ticket. When she saw us struggling to get all out bags (and 2 children) into the 'midsize' we had booked, she simply told us to put the car back and swap it for an SUV. Follow-up to this review: Dollar replied to my email within 3 days, and:
<br/>(1) refunded the bus charge;
<br/>(2) explained that the roadside cover I was being offered was just a 'top-up' option covering accident towing, lock-out, flat battery, etc. That obviously makes a lot more sense. On the day I got no explanation of what was included in the standard rental fee, and I was (either deliberately or carelessly!) left with the impression that nothing was included.

I would not recommend this company, if you arrive late they will not accommodate you and then you have to pay them £25, what a cheek!...
