My worst flight experience. I typically would not go out of my way to write a bad review for something, but I was truly appalled by the service I have received on this flight. I was flying back home from my dental school interview in Florida - so I was packed very light. I only brought my suit and a change of clothes for 3 days. Overall, I had a standard carry-on bag (bought from macys, never had a problem getting on the plane with it before), and a garment bag for my suit. As I was boarding the plane, the flight attendant stopped me and told me to check my carry on bag to make sure it fits in their bag model fitter. To no surprise, the bag fit, but I had to push the bag in a little. Please mind there was a line of people behind me watching this. The flight attendant then tells me that I should not have to push the bag in, that it should fall right in. I told her, I'll just take out my dress shoes and put them in my garment bag. The flight attendant then tells me there's no way it's just the dress shoes and that I'll have to check my bag in. I thought it was absurd to check in a standard size carry on bag, so I asked her if I can just try to take out my dress shoes. At this point, flight attendant called security and asked them to escort me to the next airplane which would have space for bigger carry on bags. Please mind that the plane I am boarding was already three hours delayed! As the line of people behind me are watching, I quickly take out my dress shoes and put the bag in their model fitter, and obviously it just goes right in. The flight attendant did not apologize, or say anything for that matter and just let me board the plane. By far my most uncomfortable and embarassing moment in airplane boarding.

I saved for 3 months to surprise my husband with a first class upgrade for our flight to cancun. once we boarded, we were told they no longer offer pillows, blankets or champagne. the attendants were the rudest we have EVER encountered! when it came time to eat, we were offered cheerios and a banana because they only had 11 "hot" breakfast dishes and we were the 13th and 14th passengers in 1st class. i was told that the next time, i should pick a seat closer to the front of the plane. REALLY ...

    hi
we had a very bad experience with this airlines. we lost GPS when we flew from Boston to Pittsburgh. We did not check in the luggage and we carried it but they asked to leave the baggage at the front door of plane so that it is placed behind as the flights are so small, the connecting flight being in cleveland.we were disappointed and immediately launched a complaint but the customer service was so hopeless and did not even respond and told us we cant do anything except put the phone. we went ...

I flew from birmingham uk to newark then tampa. All flights left on time, i found both the ground staff and cabin crews, polite and friendly. For an economy flight i found it comfortable on all flights. I have been on much worse with other american airline carriers. I would definetly use continental again and i would recommend to friends.I could check in online and view all seat assignments and change if needed. I was informed via email of any news or changes to flight times.

I had international multiple destination flights with Continental Airline on June 16th. We flew from Houston to Narita, Japan for 10 hours already on CO7 only to end up flying back to Houston as there was a volcanic eruption somewhere close to Japan where I would have my connecting flight to Bangkok. But that was fine with me; better safe than sorry. We arrived in Houston @1am and had to stay in a long queue to get our new rerouted flight. I got to Bangkok without a problem. On June 23rd., ...

I had the rudest attendent at the gate desk in Santa Ana. I had to get a seat assignment and asked her if I could get that from her. She proceeded to yell at me because she wasn't on that flight yet and said I just needed to be patient and wait. She then typed on her computer. I understand if she was busy but there are much better ways to handle this. I went back up about 20 minutes later and asked her if I could ask her a question without her yelling at me. She laughed at me and continued ...

I flew Continental in economy class from Burlington, VT to San Diego, California with a 3-hour stop in Newark at the end of July 2009. It was my first flight with them and everything went smoothly.

No big delays, fast check-in and no unpleasant surprises. Crew was helpful and informative. Continental is one of the few companies that still serves a meal for free. Ticket was at a great price(308$ return).

Flight from Burlington to Newark aboard a Dash-8 Q400 was a real roller-coaster due to bad ...

Recently went to China via Newark on Continental Airlines. The 787 was a wonderful jet; the meals were very good relative to most we've had in the past; most employees were friendly. We enjoyed most of the trip until our flight out of Beijing was delayed due to weather. The Continental folks in Beijing assured us that if we had to stay in Newark, Continental would put us up in a hotel until our connecting flight could be arranged.
When we got into Newark, reality hit. Continental told us tha ...

I always trusted Continental as a reliable flight. Always liked them the best over any other airline. My only one complaint is that departing from newark, when they told all passengers to shut off their electronic devices for take off, some people unfortunately ignore this. Perhaps I don't know whether the electronic devices affect the take off and landing, but continental needs to impose stricter rules, maybe fines, for those that don't abide.

As I was waiting to board my flight from Tampa to Miami, it hit me that the boarding gate I was in was at ground level. Cool, I get to walk on the runway to the plane, I thought. Well let me tell you my friends, everything past that point was most definitely NOT cool. I said a travel prayer as I walked across the concrete to the jankiest plane I have ever seen. It carried 19 people, kind of like a private luxury jet. Except replace everything awesome about those planes with everything bad and yo ...

Continental are very good in domestic circuits but they are steadily deteriorating in the International circuits.
Food was so bad, really very bad...didn't really expect that quality from Continental.
Flight attendants are so rude.An old man sitting beside me asked for a glass of water and the flight attendant said that water is kept at the back and he can go and drink anytime...

While leaving Mumbai they had a technical snag in the generator or something and we were delayed by more than 2 hours ...

I went on Continental Airlines last summer to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. I had the e-ticket that you print out from the computer. When I got to the baggage collectors at Newark before my flight, they offered to print me a brand new ticket just because the gate of departure had changed. That was a very good show of customer care. On my way back home, the flight attendant was very friendly and helpful. She had a short conversation with me asking how my vacation was. Also, the lunch we g ...

flew from manchester uk to new york newark last september with continental and i must say i was very impressed i particularly liked the seat back entertainment with is multiple choice of films and music but what really impressed me was the fact that as i was on a two part journey i had only an hour and a half to catch my connecting flight to orlando but we were delayed on arrival into newark because of high winds but the captain radioed ahead to get the comapny to delay departure of my next fli ...

Two bad experiences on Continental Airlines. 1st incident-unable to receive assistance from male flight attendant with my baggage in the overhead storage unit. Instead he checks my baggage, against my will even after I've explained that my medications were in the baggage, that's why I carried it on.!!
2nd experience-denied acces to womens restroom, even after explaining that I take diuretics for hypertension. As if that wasn't enough, she proceeds to follow me to my seat at "YELLS" at the top ...

This is my first time ever reviewing anything and im doing so not to review the actual flight and crew on board the plane, they were great. I am reviewing the horrendous, let me emphasize HORRENDOUS customer service reps and ticket agents at Newark Liberty Airport. They were rude, inconsiderate, bossy, bitchy, and any other negative adjective you can think of. Families in front of me were crying, pleading with them for help with their flight and the Continental ticket reps just yelled "NO" at ...

My Continental flights from Manchester to Newark return were pretty good overall, with a generally good service of both legs. The aircraft we travelled on was pretty spacious, even though it was only a 757 which is usually small. A good service for a relatively cheap return ticket to New York.

Continental are the most amazing airline ever. They have well trained pilots, great service, and food. The planes are newer and up-to-date. Very classy and organized. I will not fly anything else.

My flights were delayed and many missed their connections. Upon return our plane broke and we had to board another plane. Continental redirected us to Cleveland even though we were Toronto bound and we sat there for hours with no air circulation on the plane and no food offered. The overall experience was terrible and I will not use them again.

I flew with Continental from Minneapolis to Glasgow Scotland via Newark-Liberty. The flights were okay. The plane from Minneapolis to Newark was small, but I had my own seat without any neigbors. In Newark, the customer service agents seemed bored, but helped me figure out where to go for my connecting flight. I had a 5 hour layover in Newark and spent my time wandering around the shops and reading. The flight from Newark to Glasgow went well. It was my first international flight and was frighte ...

We just found out that four eletronics in our checked luggaged were stolen today. We took Centenital airline from disney world. they stole the camera that with all my 5-year-old boy's happy faces. The airline claimed that they don't cover the loss of electronics. We trusted them, but they broke the trust, and we are the ones are blamed.
