Good Points: Scheduled timings were met
Bad Points: Everything else - poor service, one of the industry's (international flights, at least) worst in-flight entertainment, below average food, lazy air hostess on the flight.
General comments: Lufthansa is probably the worst airlines to fly international. I flew between San Francisco and India. I realized it was bad the first trip. The travel agent tricked my into buying Lufthansa second time saying they have upgraded their planes with better in-flight entertainment. Lufthansa is the worst in the industry for this. It is at least 15-20 years behind in this case. Try Singapore Airlines - you will love it.

Flew London to Munich and had good flights. Charming crew and informative communications from flight deck even when we had to de ice at Munich (which was interesting!) . Captain explained this, and why this would delay us. Perfectably acceptable and a smooth enjoyable flight home. Tall chap was quite happy in his seat because the one next was empty and he could spread out a bit!! If flight had been full then he would have been pleased that it was only an hour and a bit flying time.

Flight crew were rude. The metal on seat attaching it to the floor of plane was damaged and had sharp piece sticking out, injured my foot. received no help, nothing to clean up blood, no bandage, no ice for swelling. Contacted Lufthansa both in Germany and when we got back to the US and never received one call back or letter of acknowledgement. Finally gave up after 8 months of trying to talk to someone. Only wanted to hear we are sorry for your injury.

Flight from Frankfurt to Tokyo was unbearable. Only overhead TV screen which we could not see. Small screen (about 6inch screen) - the picture was so bad, could see nothing. Food was mediocre. Seats were poor - next to emergency exit, so plenty of legroom but no storage, tiny tables and next to toilets so had queues of people waiting for toilet. The flight from BOS TO FRA was really nice and the Boeing was also great. We reached FRA on time. The airline was not as good as what we flew from Boston. I was feeling why would do such a thing.....so whatever we started of less than 2 hours late and I was expecting to reach late. But amazingly the pilot was amazing...he was driving over 1000 mph.....I have never seen any airline fly more than 1000mph(AA flies at 800mph)....and YES i didn't reach on time but Before time.

Used to be a Lufthansa senator and fly weekly on business. All was OK ( back in 2003). I know fly economy and would not recommend Lufthansa for economy flights, especially if you fly through FRA. Seriously. I wouldn't. I travel on business often and have done IST to FRA to MAN three times lately and every time has been horrid. I am astounded Lufthansa did not get more good reviews. We have used Lufthansa monthly for one whole year from Kuwait to Frankfurt. The flight was always on time, it was spacious, the food was good and the service ... well most of the time, departure was at around 2h00 am so everybody had long faces - it did not count. For those who are picky about this airline, you should try flying here in the US, you would probably change your mind about Lufthansa.

I have now used this service four times in both directions and what can I say, it is exactly what it says on the tin, it ' s no frills, cheap and in regard to Nimes, the only direct flight to the UK. Personally I always hate false smiling cabin crew bothering me with creature comforts during a flight anyway so this sort of flight is exactly what I want. I had a good experience with Lufthansa customer service recently. My check-in baggages got damaged while travelling from Bangalore(India) to DC! I called their customer care - as I noticed only after reaching the home! The customer care rep told me to go back to airport and got my damaged baggages checked by lufthansa officials! I ignored & thought ."it is a gone case" and I need to buy new ones! to my surprise - they sent 4 coupons ( 4 baggages out of 9 got damaged) for the repair or repl ...

Never before have I experienced such woeful customer service. They refused to let us board our return sector because we did not use our outgoing sector despite having advised them this would be the case. They were rude, inflexible and left us stranded at Zurich airport which meant we had to get a hotel room for the night adding extra expense to our holiday and lateness back to work. I will never fly this airline again.

My mom, wife and my 8 month old baby are expected to land in Hyderabad at 12:00AM on Feb 7th 08.

I will not fly with Lufthansa again, unless i really have to. Flying economy class, we were not looked after very well. The flight attendants stomp up and down the aisles barging everyone out the way. If you asked them for anything such as a glass of water, it seemed such an effort. . They took ages to serve and clear the meals. The entertainment system was poor, they didn't provide ear phones and it was the old tv in the aisle system

I feel Lufthansa is not giving enough priority to their economy passengers. In my opinion some of worst flight attendants I've encountered in any airline (international or domestic). Most of the flight attendants I thought seemed to be more interested in chatting with each other than in serving the needs of the passengers

We had tried Lufthansa because we weren't that fond of Northwest. I'll say NWA has never given us the check in hassles that Lufthansa did and that their service was no better than Northwest.

The seat was incredibly cramped and the back would only recline an inch or two. Unforgivable on an 11-hour overnight flight. I will look for another carrier to Lufthansa on my next flight to Europe.
