I am still waiting to receive a refund for an item that I first told them about in January 2013 as it was faulty. (it's now mid-June 2013) I have had to phone them 8 times on their £1.53 per call line and each time I just get fobbed off and I'm still waiting for them to "process" the refund. The item that was returned was sent to them in April 2013 and it's already mid-June. Their customer service is so appallingly bad that I wont ever order anything from them again ..... too much hassle! (read more)

i ordered a number of items when the credit thing was on like order this and get 10 or 20 pounds back to spend on something else only when i prdered the things it said to new and existing customers i am an existing customer so i qualified so when i ordered something else they said i didnt have the credit and they will see what was going on and would contact me back only they didnt so i phoned them again and they say im not eligable they dont have a clue what they are talking about as one... I ordered a pair of trousers and when they arrived they were marked as 3XL but only measured XL size, had to return them. Then I ordered 2 led spinner lights for outdoors, when they arrived both the colour changing balls were detached from the spinners, so had to send them back as well. Ordered a 'Yonanas' looked great on the telly when demonstrated, tried it and it was total rubbish. Purchased a yonanas ice cream maker before Christmas from bid TV. As it was being offered at 2 easy payment I took up the offer. On speaking to the ordering point in India I was told It was not on easy payments, when it was clearly being advertised on TV at that very moment and has been for several weeks before. “untrusted card processing”

I have twice purchased items and immediately preceding those card processing, my id was used to register for online catalogue and over 400 pounds of hair products ordered using my card details. Until Bid TV take away the human card processing, I will not make any purchase from BID TV. Bid TV should have electronic card payment and remove human interface. The people processing ask for so much information enough to use your card where PIN number is not required. (read more)

Ordered makeover voucher on 16/12 12 money went out of bank on 19/12/12. this was a christmas present. Didnt receive item at all. contacted them by phone on 28/12/12 to be told they would email me declaration to print off sign and return. they sent me that email 9 days later on the 6/1/13. Anyone glued to the bid up tv channels before christmas should check before you buy christmas crackers. last year i bought crackers at £10 a box plus £7.99 p&p only to find the same crackers i T K MAXX at the same price ( but no p&p) Also whatch out for their multi buy scam, you are encouraged to buy several at a time but are charged 7.99 p&p on each item,so an item knocked down to £1 doesnt seem so attractive when you get the bill. My Mother bid an item last night around 9.30 pm, she waited up until 10.30pm for them to call her back, this call wasn’t received until a wake up call at 1.15 am, from another country, she said “please call in the morning UK time”, they called again at 1.30 am and again at 2.45 am.. Ordered a Viking Eco-stepper bicycle from them more than a month ago, defective on arrival, and have been trying to get it back to them ever since. Ordered a leather bag as a present - received a pair of socks, but charged immediately for the leather bag. They refuse to send the bag until they have received the socks back - to be returned at my expense - no chance now of getting the bag in time for when it was needed, so they have failed to meet their delivery deadlines because I made the mistake of receiving the wrong item !! I have been a customer of sit up tv for about 3 years and although I agree with others that the postal cost is a standard charge no matter what you buy I have been moree than happy with both the service and the quality of the goods. Their delivery has been for me quick and if at any time I have needed {for any reason or no reason} they have quickly refunded the cost of the items. Worst case: I ordered some Cuisine saucepans (by telephone - but it is much cheaper to do this online). I rang in a hurry as soon as I heard these pans were dishwasher safe. They arrived and, at the very bottom of the box, were instructions stating clearly that they should not be washed in dishwashers. Brought my daughter a rocking horse for xmas, it was despatched on the 14th oct 2011, despite calling everyday since the 7 days wait I still have no item no refund? Took almost a month to get the refund but still never received the refund on the postage costs for me to send it back. Despite 4 phone calls and now 2 months later I don't expect to get the refund. Their paperwork states that refunds are made within 14 days of item being returned.
I returned this nearly four weeks ago (it is 14th March today), and despite three telephone calls there is no sign at all of any refund.

Have bought on several occasions over the past year and delivery has been in time specified, but at the beginning of 2010 ordered a watch which never came. After contacting them by phone and by e mail, have still not recieved a refund. Have now sent lettter giving them 14 days to refund my money or will go through financial/ consumers ombudsman. To be honest, bid.tv make most of their profits from selling cheap or overpriced goods coupled with a rip-pff delivery price. How can a dvd cost £7.99 to deliver? I estimate an average profit of £6.00 on delivery charges per item. 300 items = a staggering £1800 profit on delivery alone.
Times this by the number of items sold in a day, and you can see how they make money.
If you look up the price of some of their goods, you can't find the makers name, except with a reference to... (read more)

The minimum spend is £10.50 aprox... regardless of selling price... sometimes it takes 2 or three calls to get through... (at a minimum of £1.47 per call regardless of length of time, from one second onwards), increasing the bill drastically.
I do avoid selling channels which have this 'high rate' phone calls, and silly sales tactics to sell hat some of the stuff can only be classed as 'junk'.

I do not know how a company this size has not gone down the pan. They have NO CUSTOMER CARE. You cant get hold of a person male or female with the command of the English language. The new company they use for delivery is about as good. DO NOT USE THIS SHOPPING SERVICE: as service is far from what you will get. I cant give them a Rating as it does not go LOW ENOUGH.

I bought 2 memory foam pillows on 18-05-2009 after 10days they had not arrived, so i contacted BID Tv to notify them of this and also to complain about the Home Delivery Network that BID TV use as their courier. This isnt the 1st time they not delivered items.

I have bought items from bidtv which I have been pleased with, but recently bought two watches at 2 months in between each one, both of them had defects and were returned. I was very
shocked to see the refund was only the costs of the watches and not the postal cost which was £7.81each = £15.62. Their
customer service telephone number cost on my phone £1.per

I have been shopping with bid and price drop for years and have not had any problems. I think the delivery service is first class. You are told delivery is within 7 days, longest i have waited is 4 days. I buy all year round and by Christmas i have little or no High St shopping to do. I think the quality and service are excellent. If i am buying a few items in 1 day i dont think i should have to pay postage on each item. Never any mention of high cost of delivery (min £7.80) initial call ( £1.50) of subsequent premium calls if any problems. Added at least £10 to cost of item! Also has any one else noticed how inflated the prices are to begin with before the prices are 'slashed'. Also think presenters need to get dictionary and look up meaning of 'quality' and 'bargain' as is much over used on that programme. (read more)

I had my items left behind the bin by home delivery; they did not seem to have a care in the world that the product might be pinched, which as it happens was the case.
