I bought 2 memory foam pillows on 18-05-2009 after 10days they had not arrived, so i contacted BID Tv to notify them of this and also to complain about the Home Delivery Network that BID TV use as their courier. This isnt the 1st time they not delivered items.
My gripe with HDN is they have the annoying habit of dumping the items ive bought outside my front doot and leave a card saying the items been left at your front door. When you call them to ask where are the items they then claimed i signed for them. (this has happened more than once and Ive have retained the delivery card)
Anyway after another failed delivery i put my compaint in writing and faxed it to BID TV on the 08-06-2009. I am still waiting a refund from BID TV. Ive called them today 30-06-2009 to be told once ive sent in the lettr saying they goods havent arrived i will get a refund. I pointed out to the charming non-english speaking customer service lady who couldnt understand my accent that this is already on file sa recived so where is my refund? She then went into automated mode and repeatedly satted upon recive of non delivery letter a refund will be issued. Ine the end i gave up. HOPLESS is the only wy to describe it.
I will write, fax, email and use ouji board if i have to, to get the message to them BUT I WANT MY REFUND. To any new prospective BID TV customers id say this AVOID BIDTV LIKE THE PLAGUE they are useless once they have your money and their customer service is dire beyond belief.

DONT USE SIT UP CHANNELS!!!!!! if you need to return an item to bid up tv you wont get a refund for at least 2 months... if you get one at all!!! they use indian call centres that have no say about your refunds!!! and they promise to call you back within 48 hours but DONT!!!! its a nightmare that you dont need!!!- Read handycolin's review (61 words)

I have bought items from bidtv which I have been pleased with, but recently bought two watches at 2 months in between each one, both of them had defects and were returned. I was very
shocked to see the refund was only the costs of the watches and not the postal cost which was £7.81each = £15.62. Their
customer service telephone number cost on my phone £1.per
minute, so I am reluctant to phone them because when I have in the past complained of a missing item in a package ...- Read Guest's review (143 words)

I have been shopping with bid and price drop for years and have not had any problems. I think the delivery service is first class. You are told delivery is within 7 days, longest i have waited is 4 days. I buy all year round and by Christmas i have little or no High St shopping to do. I think the quality and service are excellent.
If i am buying a few items in 1 day i dont think i should have to pay postage on each item. Why cant small items be put into 1 parcel, i buy a lot of jewelery and thin ...- Read Guest's review (133 words)

Never any mention of high cost of delivery (min £7.80) initial call ( £1.50) of subsequent premium calls if any problems. Added at least £10 to cost of item! Also has any one else noticed how inflated the prices are to begin with before the prices are 'slashed'. Also think presenters need to get dictionary and look up meaning of 'quality' and 'bargain' as is much over used on that programme.- Read Guest's review (161 words)

I have had a 3 products from these people. The first, a 'Memory Foam' matress topper needed to be aired for over two weeks to get rid of the chemical smell. The second, two 'Memory Foam' pillows, both had minor faults but I kept them. The third, and ultra-sonic bark stopper, was faulty and returned. I e-mailed through thier website beforehand, and was sent a returns no. (This seems to be an automatic thing when asking about returns, because i sent a second query and got another returns no. Products good as you like the idea and so buy, telephone services good they ring you back and take order. However, I have had 2 items ordered on 2 separate occasions. I had my items left behind the bin by home delivery; they did not seem to have a care in the world that the product might be pinched, which as it happens was the case. So when trying to get me money back I am still waiting this very day for the money, maybe not all bid up TV but potential customers need to know may struggle to get ...- Read Guest's review (164 words)

Delivery is quick but refunds are poor. They make money out of the phone calls and charges for postage. They sent out wrong items charge me for posting it back then I had to wait over a month to only get the cost back and not the postage.

I was quite taken with the concept and decided to try it out. As stated my first go was uneventful. I then had a second go. Four pillows £7.99 easy enough? No. I received a call to confirm my order then the operator started a spiel about "free offers" I explained I wasn't interested but to no avail her voice didn't stop so I politely told her I had to go and hung up. I received a further call 2 hours later to say there had been a problem with my order, it further transpired that the firs ...- Read dubbers's review (206 words)

bid-up.tv is poor! There are plenty more shopping channels with a more reliable customer service. I bought a product in December and arranged a collection to return it. 3 appts made, nobody turned up. Collected on 4th occasion on 18th January 2007. As of today I have still not received my refund. Telephoned numerous times. Once told refund had been processed whilst I was on telephone (lie), another time spoke to manager who said he'd contact me with 5 hrs (no contact) and last week assured that ...- Read Guest's review (123 words)

They really need to have a solid after sales customer service, if they want to keep your customers. They have lost me, for the sake of a few pounds of return postage.- Read pschween's review (67 words)

good overall.......they must sub contract their delivery drivers......I wasn't even left a tracking number when my orders couldn't be delivered even though I had proposed a 'safe place' for that eventuality. Consequently goods to the value of some considerable sum are wandering somewhere out there...........where , I've no idea. I was not at home after being rushed to hospital... nice to come home to... Beware of price comparisons with the internet. As an example about a week ago either price-drop or bid-tv offered a 10 DVD set of "Prime Suspect" and they stated that they had checked on the Woolworth site and it could be bought for £89.99 (true, I've just checked) with free delivery. They started the auction at £40.00 and eventually they were all sold for £34.99. While the auction was in progress, I checked on Amazon.co.uk and the set cost £34.99 with free delivery and if ...- Read chelmerville's review (222 words)

Bid and won an Item on 28th Dec 2007. Name as a winning bidder appeared on TV screen. No call back for payment.
When contacted they deny receiving bid. Have proof now that call made and accepted. Customer service contacted many times still waiting an answer nearly 7 weeks later. Have written to sit-up channels. No response from them also. It must be company policy.- Read Guest's review (63 words)

If it wasn't for the phone costs and postage I would buy a lot more. I only ever returned one item that was sent me as wrong goods. Customer service is expensive to call and although they paid the item value back to my credit card, I still ended up paying to return goods I never ordered in the first place. They return the item price but you still loose the £7.99 postage so not worth returning anything best advice is make sure it is something you really want and at a cheap price or go out s ...- Read dumbo54's review (161 words)

Myself and my hubby have ordered from bid-up many a time, and so has hubby's grandad and mum.. We have never had any problems to date.
You see the item on telly, you phone the number on the screen, follow the instructions and within a short while one of the customer service advisers call you back and take all your details. After ordering a few times, if you'd rather not keep having to go over your payment details, etc., you can choose a password that they will ask you each time and another s ...- Read Mazz25's review (156 words)

Bid-up.tv have very poor customer service. I was advised that I could order and then pay 3 days later, but received 20 calls in 2 days from them. I spoke to a team leader who assured me this would not happen again but the next day same thing. I spoke with another team leader after being hung up on by a rep and she said that she cannot stop me being harassed by their 'dialler' system. I had to cancel my order and request that my details be removed!!! I would not rate them at all and suggest ...- Read phippsp's review (129 words)
