PARCELFORCE Parcelforce is a completely useless and rude company. A parcel scheduled for delivery yesterday (14th May) was finally delivered today after Amazon interceded. I posted a vintage coffee set - parcel force smashed it even though I had taken great care to pack it well - shook the box and checked it thoroughly. I had paid for enhanced compensation to cover the £200 value of the item. When I put in my claim for compensation for the smashed up items they told me that my item was not eligible for compensation - the letter did not even explain why it was not covered. I did use parcel force before and never been happy with their service,driver who works in IPSWICH / suffolk is extremely rude, i live on 3th floor without lift and he always asking me to take 25-30kg boxes downstairs for him, if not he won't accept them, he said he's ok with light boxes but not the heavy ones He never gave me any proof that parcels were collected, in my opinion they are USELESS IDIOTS and i won't be using them again!!!!!!!! Ordered goods on Wednesday 1st May.They where dispatched 24hr express,to arrive Friday 3rd May. Incredibly rude, driver/delivery man refused to take parcel to my property while aggressively shouting at me in the middle of the street. When finally carrying the items, he made sure to knock them around the stairwell so both items and walls got scratched. Customer service did not even apologise for this. I've given Parcel Force the benefit of doubt the last few times, But they have let me down for the last time. Everytime I send a parcel from ebay I tell the buyer I will use the "48 hour" service, and every time parcels are taking upto 5 working day's to arrive which is just ridiculous and giving me a bad rep as even though I send items quickly they are taking forever to arrive. Like the other terrible delivery companies - UKFail et al, ParcelFarce continually fails on the customer service front. Having been bitten by these companies on numerous occasions I now refuse to take time off work to wait for parcels which never turn up, instead I leave direct instructions with numerous options for the delivery person (I have 2 sheds with opened locks which can be locked securely, a greenhouse, living in a culdesac there are numerous neighbours in who will sign for parcels... It is with great regret that that I have to point out ...due to the high amount of crime,regarding parcels left in sheds greenhouses etc ,,,,senders now require a signature....it is ignorant to say the least to expect your neighbours to accept your parcel if you cannot be home....if you cannot accept a delivery make arrangements or go to the shops.

“Do not use this company!”

I was sending a letter and a old casette tape that was going in to my little brothers grave at his funeral when I couldn't afford to attend the funeral in my home country myself. I bought the Global expess service which is supposed to take 24 hours to Scandinavia but it took parcelforce 28 hours to pick up the packet from my UK post office and now the packet is in France and no one at parcelforce can help me. My daughter-in-law in South Africa booked online a letter to be picked up at 10am in a London Hotel, The confirmation said it would be picked up at 9am instead. She used their online contact form to contact them. They replied helpfully saying they would "get back to her in 3 days". “Worst delivery company i've ever dealt with”

I've been trying to get a parcel delivered for a month now. I've wasted whole days waiting in for it not to arrive. Every single person I've spoken to at their office has either given me misinformation or deliberately lied to get me off the phone. Only by physically turning up at the depot this morning did I get to the bottom of the real problem - that they clearly lost my parcel some weeks ago. I requested a collection over the phone, everything was very easy. They were very helpful and fitted in with when I would be home so the collection could be made - no time off work and waiting in all day, they collected my parcel within 2 hours of placing my order. I ordered a BB gun once and it took two weeks to arrive even though I paid for 3-5 days delivery. Your parcel arrives in the Uk where some parcels are set aside to be charged for tax. Random samples a bit like having your bags checked at an airport. These parcels are then taken to a bonded warehouse for storage and processing contents value etc. Then delivered. by Parcelforce. Your handling fee covers storage and Uk delivery by Parcelforce. The delivery charge you paid lets say UPS would cover delivery to your home. However if stopped by CUSTOMS it is then delivered by Parcelforce. If your company stored the goods handled the paperwork pre-paid the taxes owed then delivered it. anyway in the Uk. WOULD THEY DO IT FOR FREE

My flat is not easiest to find but what they did once got me really outraged. I placed a pretty big order with a photo lab and they were usually very fast with processing orders. This one was big so I thought it will take them longer but after two weeks I gave them a call. They told me they used Parcelfarce and sent the prints next day. I sent some important documents internationally using their global express which promises to deliver within 7 days. Documents arrive two weeks late. So I raised a complaint using their complaint procedure. In their reply the said that to me that they will no be able to help because the complaint form was received after 15 days since the date of shipment. It doesn't make sense. Ordered a product that I needed urgently. Paid a substantial amount for express 24 hour service. Made sure I was in all day to receive. No sign of it! Went on Parcelforce's ridiculous tracking service which confirmed that the package didn't even leave their base depot until 24 hours after the order. same here, really angry, and i won't be using the supplier again.
we actually spoke to someone , told them we would be complaining
to the supplier, told us they would get someone to ring back, instead they went on the tracking site and added that they had tried to deliver that night.
this was 45 minutes after we rung them.

Lazy staff - didn't bother buzzing or knocking, just fills out a "you weren't in card", leaves it on the outside doorstep (doesn't even put it through the letterbox), and runs away quietly. Needless to say, I waited in all day for my parcel. Would have been easier for me to drive to the sender and pick it myself. Sent an expensive mixing desk (ruggedly built for the road usage) to a shop. Received pics back from shop of the item which looked like the desk had been dropped from the second floor of a building. I paid for 48hr delivery of a parcel, 8 days later it still hasn't been picked up from the senders address!! I have emailed and phoned twice but they can't tell me how it has not been picked up. I used them three times in one week to ship antique furniture. Two of the three were delivered late and outside their "guaranteed delivery" window. But it was a lot worse than that. All three times I had shipped antique furniture. On all three occasions the furniture arrived in pieces. Destroyed beyond economic recovery. I paid 67 pounds for a letter to go to india (Fedex and other couriers rates are 35 pounds) as I needed to send some urgent documents due to family emergency. Ordered an expensive parcel from the UK to Bahrain using their Global "Priority" which clearly claims 4 business days on their website to the specified destination. “Customs are just a joke”

I've had several things come from china and the far east arrive in the UK in a matter of hours and then sit in customs for up to three weeks. I've been honest and open by paying the tax up front, it makes no difference, Parcel force still charge £8 "admin" on the customs no matter what. It would appear they have a Monopoly on any incoming mail that is not handled exclusively by the likes of DHL & FedEX. SLOW... EXPENSIVE & POOR COMMUNICATIONS (read more)

I sent a laptop to my sister in Italy. The only drawback was that the website is set up in an unusual way and we had to install new software to use website but after that, all went fine. My parcel was lost, yet the tracking said that it had been signed for. I had endless back and forth between the company I sent it to and Parcelforce trying to prove that it had not been delivered to the exact address. Parcelforce eventually admitted that the parcel was not delivered to where it should have been. It took 3.5 months to get that admission out of them. I posted a parcel on 2 working day delivery. After 3 days the online tracking showed it had not been delivered. I phoned customer service who said my parcel had been downgraded to 5 working days but could not tell me why as they did not keep those sort of records. Apparently Parcelforce attempted a delivery to my home yesterday at 5.30. ABSOLUTE RUBBISH. No card was left through the door and with at least one person and 3 very good watchdogs in the room since early afternoon there is no way they could have tried to deliver my parcel. Wonder if we had the same delivery person. We also had a similar experience on Friday 15th. Card dropped through the door at 2.05pm husband was in, 3 fencers were working at the front of the building no one saw anything or anybody. Again this morning at 7.45am both in kitchen fixing breakfast came into hallway another card had been left. Parcel is now at the local post office awaiting collection.

I shall speak to the firm that we ordered the goods from to try & dissuade them from using Parcel Force in future as they are useless.

For the third time, they couldn't be bothered delivering a parcel, rather it's easier for one of their resident knuckle-draggers to post a card. what makes me laugh is that the reason given is that it was too large to post, yes, that's because it's a parcel not a letter. We sent a box weighing over 10kgs with stuff worth 800 pounds over a month ago todate it hasnt reached the receipent.The whole company needs to be shut down because they are taking their customers for granted and good quality customer service isnt their concern. I have just used Parcelforce 'express 48' for the 2nd time. 1st time: Damaged parcel in transit ~ No acceptance on their part, it was down to how i had packaged it! Considering that my mother paid a small fortune to have Parcel Force deliver my curtains to my new flat, I was expecting good (or at least acceptable) service. My mother informed me that, according to the tracking, the parcel should be with my on Wednesday. “Clumsy, misleading and expensive!”

I used Parcel Force to deliver a TV I's sold on ebay. Paying £68 for the 48 hour express service, the TV arrived at the recipients's address with a huge chunk out of the corner of the box and unfortunately the TV! I'm now down an £800 TV, in a dispute with the recipient and Parcel Force refuses to pay out despite the obvious damage as a result of their handling. I've genuinely no idea how this company continues to operate legally..they certainly can't operate morally that's for sure!... (read more)
