I am someone who uses Parcelforce regularly for sending goods, but I am also on the receiving end of mail-order goods myself on occasions during the year.
I have to admit that, so far, they've never lost anything that I have sent. However, on the receiving side, it seems this year 2009 in particular has become a real bummer for the absence of "you were out" delivery cards. I've had four occasions this year when I've had to go chasing parcels that haven't arrived. Each time, a phone-call to the sender has shown that the parcel has in fact been despatched....and in two instances, attempts at delivery were made at my home, BUT NO CARDS LEFT. One parcel was with a neighbour for three days before I found out.
I dont mind re-arranging delivery or even going to a local PO to collect....but unless Parcelforce leave that delivery-card, I havent got a chance of knowing what's happened.
Things are getting worse all round, and its not just Parcelforce that are playing this game; other carriers are doing it too. The other swizz is to just shove a card through the door without even knocking; that has actually happened today to me, with Parcelforce; I was IN! and no-one knocked.
If this continues, I can see many mail-order based companies losing customers. If these carriers are genuinely too busy, then why dont they take on more staff? Business is obviously booming if the drivers havent got enough hours in the day to make the deliveries.
Rating Parcelforce; I would give them 3 stars for overall rating; they would have got 4 for value for money, but they let themselves down over their deliveries. Recommend to a friend? Mmmm....yes, but with caution.

Parcelforce offer a good service at very competitive prices and are a lot more professional than other courier companies I've had the displeasure of dealing with. You can book collections with small time slots so you are not waiting around all day and customer services have always been very helpful when I have needed to contact them. They are much better at finding my house than plenty of couriers that regularly fail to do so, I would recommend Parcelforce to anyone who needs a reliable, hassle ...

I have read so many negative reviews on various review sites concerning Parcelforce and to be fair I was extremely nervous using them however i have been very pleasantly surprised as I have had extremely good customer care from the company concerning a high value package sent from abroad.
When it arrived in the UK, Parcelforce Worldwide took immediate responsibility of it and it was easily trackable on the internet site and I felt tracking data was updated speedily and concisely.
    Parcelforce ...

IN A WORD, steer clear of Parcelforce, not only do they not keep to their claims there customer service is amazingly patronising and passive aggressive,

in good faith i sent a next day delivery to Germany, 4 days later it still hasnt arrived and when i tried to get to the bottom of it i was passed between customer service departments to a dizzying array,

after hollow apologies and 'you can make a claim' every time i asked why the package might be delayed i am still waiting for the package to ...

i ordered an ab king pro from the shopping channel on sky and was told that parcel force would deliver it within 21 days, after 28 days i phoned them up to enquire about my delivery and they told me it had been delivered to my house but no one was there to collect it so it had been taken back to the depot, if someone did try to deliver the parcel then why didn`t they leave a calling card. the gentleman at the customer services said he would redeliver the parcel within 5 days if i paid £4.9 ...

Parcel Force are useless. Especially driver Bull on route 135. He is in such a hurry not to deliver his parcel he rushes, before you can get to the door, to fill in and put a card through the door - thereby putting the onus on the local post office in Darkes Lane to handle the parcel for him.

This causes them more work and makes his delivery round quicker.

Avoid Parcelforce like the plague! You pay...they delay! Sat in & sat in waiting for them to collect :( No sign of them, customer service is a joke. Overall rating minus 5 star. Easier if you sent out a band of trained chimps!

Having paid for some items, and for the Parcelforce shipment to me from the U.S.A., I have received a letter, a month after placing the order, from the Deeside ParcelForce depot. It demanded payment of £13.30 for VAT (to be expected - taxation is the only thing our government does efficiently) but a further payment of £8 was demanded by ParcelForce - they choose to call it a "Clearance Fee." Of course, I didn't have to pay this outrageous demand - I had the option of losing the ite ...

    Annoying!!!
3 times this has happened now.
Because we werent in, the driver took it upon himself to deliver the parcel to a post office (which is supposed to be local) and once this is done, you cant arrange redelivery.
The post office he chose was in he NEXT TOWN not at all any of the local ones. This is only open during working hours so I have to take time off work to collect a parcel that I paid to have delivered to my door!

I complained about this and basically got nothing from the customer ...

Parcelforce should go and learn the courier business. Its waste of time to use parcel force for anything important. To add salt to injury, they will put up an attempted delivery. In my case the time they put was when the office they were to deliver to was open.Item was not "attention ed" to anyone but the office. If you have a target date for delivery, don't go near Parcelforce, you will be disappointed.

Once again I have wasted another day waiting for a delivery from Parcelforce. I put jobs on hold and hung around all day and checked the online tracking to see what was happening and to my utter surprise they said they had attempted delivery 45minutes before I last checked the tracking progress. I know for a fact that is a blatant lie.(no doorbell rang, no knock, no 'whilst you were out ' card - nothing!) I can see our drive from my desk! I rang the customer services to be told they would try t ...

Parcelfarce is a more appropiate name! I sold a cd player on ebay and sent wrapped in bubble wrap that was 20-20cm thick and put it in a box filled with screwed up balls of paper. Parcel force delivered it late and still managed to damage it. What's a complete joke is their compensation. It's taken me 2 months just to get the postage refunded and I'm still waiting for the value of the cd player. They keep posting the cheques to the wrong address or they have problems with the post apparently!
