“Parcel stolen by delivery driver & DO officers are rude.”

A parcel was sent to me on 22/05/15 and the royalmail delivery driver stole this parcel. It was sent with a track and trace, the silly driver wrote delivered but no signature on the 26/05/15 but nothing was personally delivered to me. Royal mail is now a fraudulent company as it employs fraudulent drivers. This is frustrating and a bit worrying, I bet royalmail will not investigate the driver. Just would like to say that I am sick of Royal Mails unreliable unpredictable service and over priced rates, I mean for instance... I send 1 pair of stockings out to an address 40 miles from where I live which I sold on ebay, my customer does not get them !! What ever you do , don't ever have a package or parcel sent to you with the wrong address on it, as you will never get it back, even if you ordered it, paid for it, and it has your name on it. Even though you technically are the legal owner of it. You may even be able to show the invoice for it, have the tracking number for it, and know exactly what is in it and it has your name on it. I have had numerous items 'lost' by Royal Mail. These include Phone, jewellery and much else. The complaints procedure is a joke. It makes you wonder if the management collude with the staff.If you want anything to get anywhere it must be tracked and signed for. It used to be a serious offence to tamper with or even worse steal Royal Mail items but these days nothing seems to matter. “Postman's duty is from delivery officer to letter box only”

Unfortunately we live in a residential area plagued with kids constantly ringing door/gate bells and running away. Therefore we have a notice outside beside our letter box requesting deliveries that needs signing for to either ring/text us, both landline and mobile telephone numbers given and we always give a tip of approximately £3 for the phone call as well as their effort to call us. Really?? I'm not normally one to respond to something like this but I feel I have to. You have been getting an extraordinary service from your previous postperson then complain when the new person does their job? Do you know how little time they get to do each delivery - they have to hit targets unfortunately, that's the way of the world, and ringing you up when they have a parcel takes time. And the £3 you were giving the postie as a thanks - that's bribery!

Fast delivery! I ordered a package to be sent from Banbury, UK to New Zealand and it came within 6 working days of purchasing the item! My package has not been damaged at all. Overall I'm relieved as I was told via email to allow for 4-14 working days from the time it was dispatched - It was probably only just 4 days from time of dispatch. Postage was only 12.90 pounds too, which is a good price. Thank you Royal Mail, I am able to give my boyfriend his birthday present on time! Happy days!… Read Full Review

“First class now second class, pathetic collection times”

All my local post box's now have a 9am last collection on them, which now means if i post a letter out around dinner time it will not get collected untill 9am the next day instead of the last collection which was 4.30pm for me. Which to me is a second class service. I now have to drive to the main post office to send mail out for 1st class next day service. “Excellent service”

Over many decades I have found Royal Mail to provide excellent service. Their parcel service is not cheap but it is reliable and the depot is nearby if I was not in and need to collect. And the staff are friendly. Problems? Yes, when I lived in Luton I lost several items sent to me. Unfortunately a few staff are light fingered. Special Delivery is more secure, and worth it for high value items. I hope privatisation does not destroy the service… Read Full Review

Had numerous problems with Royal Mail. They are the most unreliable and uncaring service ever. No matter what the complaint is, they will try to wriggle out of any responsibility. My biggest complaint is the redelivery service (or lack of it). First of all they require 48 hours before they can redeliver or you can collect it, when you fill in the online form for the redelivery they ask for a phone number (mandatory) but despite them having problems redelivery my items did they call...NO! I sent a parcel to Estonia and it somehow ended up in Australia. I have spent over 15 minutes on the phone to customer services trying to sort it out and am having to pay for the call as they wouldn't phone me back. An 0845 number so I bet that wasn't cheap. I have been told that if the parcel is lost I can claim for the contents of the parcel but won't be reimbursed the postage. “Need To Shape Up”

They failed to deliver a special delivery item - again. Don't expect them to deliver Friday unless first thing. They all chill out for the weekend Friday lunch. 

The service is poor. There isn't even anyone to speak Friday 5pm - Monday. So if you don't get your parcel...tough. 

Royal Mail, you really need to shape up. You have competitors who are efficient and deliver the goods.
