“Sending parcel from UK to Ireland ”

We send a letter to Dublin International Track & Sign on the 31st August, tracked envelop on royal mail web site, since the 2nd September envelope is still in Dublin, phoned Royal mail who said even though the post office says 3-4 days it can take up to 4 weeks !!!!! this is Royal mail complaints office, VERY UN HELPFULL AND DID WANT TO HELP ! “First class signed for is a waste of money”

I posted a small lightweight parcel (0.178Kg) weight on Monday 21/08/17 at 09.41am First class signed for which cost £4.40, I would have expected it to arrive at it's destination in Sunderland by the following day, but it has not arrived there today the 22/08/17, first class post should arrive the following day that is why it costs so much more than second class, this is a very poor service and I will use a different service in future… Read Full Review

“They don't care as long as they get paid”

Through Royal Mail I've lost purchases, birthday and Christmas cards with and without money and parcels I've sent, they claimed to have no knowledge of my missing items, they did the same to my nan when items she would send wouldn't get delivered they said they didn't have the items even though tracking said they did, so she got fed up with her items not being delivered so when a parcel never arrived to my aunt my nan phoned them up they said they didn't have the item even though tracking said… Read Full Review

“The worst service”

Sending a letter or a parcel through a Royal Mail is like throwing your money into the bin. You will lose the value of your item as well as the postage fee and nobody cares about it. Some of the staff smiles steadily as a mentally ill person, but can not answer a single question. The other part of the staff is not at all friendly, helpful and rude to the client. “Tracked and Scanned as Delivered, But Never Received Item”

Recent purchase from ebay never arrived despite being sent tracked and subsequently scanned as delivered. However, it was never delivered to my door - we were at home at the time it says 'delivered'. Tracking is no good - this can be scanned at your front gate and doesn't prove it was actually handed to anyone, let alone the correct person… Read Full Review

I am leaving a one star review due to the fact that i cant leave zero! I have had 3 parcels taken back to the halifax office (whilst I have been in waiting for them) due to the fact that the delivery drivers couldnt be bothered to deliver my mail to my back door as my garden is inaccesible. “Lost my item”

Royal Mail lost my item, a commissioned item that was hand made specifically for me and cannot be replaced. Their customer service has been horrible and because I was the recipient they won't even talk to me. They won't refund any money and claim that even if they did they would only refund what the materials cost. I wished to post a mothers day card at 1pm on Friday and was told the only way it could be guaranteed to arrive Saturday was to pay £12 for special delivery. However my mother would need to be in for it to be signed for. It couldnt be posted through the door even if that was what I requested. What a very poor service that only looks at what they can offer not the needs of their customers which I should imagine are dwindeling. “Shocking service!”

I sent a parcel 1st Class recorded which arrived at the my customers delivery office next day. The delivery office instead of delivering to the customer they mistakenly sent it to Citipost, who signed for it. Citipost then sent it back to the Royal mail hub which is miles away. We have been told we could wait days for it to come back..if it comes back at all!!! Took a parcel (on-line returns) to High Lane Post Office with a pre-printed R2 returns label on front (my sender details written in a tiny box in tiny writing on bottom edge of label as requested by company returning item to) and lo and behold this parcel was delivered back to me two days later. Day to day deliveries with Royal Mail are a living nightmare! Firstly as We have communal letter boxes outside, our usual postman (can tell by his signature on the 'something for you' card) never attempts a delivery but instead writes out the red card and posts it through the letterbox outside. Have purchased International Signed for service £12.85 online as it seemed more convenient, never again! Queued in post office for over 30 min with all prepaid and printed parcel, post office computer did not recognize the barcode and I was advised to go back to speak with royal mail as I bought the label from them and the post office has had the same problems with a few parcels today.
