The s310 is the third pcp rifle i've owned, and got to be the best yet. With pellet on pellet accuracy at 45yards and within a 1 inch radius at 70yards, it has pretty good range too!
Only problem i found with it is 10 shots just isn't enough lol.

The problem has been passed back to Air Arms who have a good reputation and I have every hope that they can suply a mod.
Can't believe that the S410 inherited the same common problem.

You're obviously filling your rifle with "dirty" air and doing it in a dusty or gritty area. This is almost guarenteed to get crime into your seals and no precharged airgun can withstand that

I have 177 and 22 versions and currently wish I had not bought them.
The problem is with Air Arms at present and I expect them to come up with a solution as they have a good reputation.

I also had the problem with the filler valve, But a local air line manufacturer sells them to me for £1.50. the nut on the valve is bigger so you have to open the snap connecter up on a laithe to accomodate it.

I got this Air Arms s310 rifle last September being my first pcp after owing a HW35 which was rather heavy and the recoil put you off a bit. So the S310 was the opposite really light and no recoil. I have had much success with this rifle on hunting trips. It is very quiet with a silencer fitted so you an shoot rabbits without his neigbour being spooked which is useful. Overall a very good rifle (read more)

The Air Arms S310 is a trustworthy piece of kit that you really shouldn't be without! In addition to above points, it is a joy to fire and I have to say that it can, and does consistently put my pellets at the center of the crosshairs when on the target. As for power and range - I do not have a FAC so operate at 11.5 foot pounds. But even at this power, on my shoot I have repeatedly aimed for and got (every shot thus far has been a first shot kill - hence my nickname) head shots on maggies... (read more)

There is no way on earth that you are running 11.5 foot pounds and killing at 70 yards! It's not possible!

Nice to see someone admitting that it is ****** hard work hand pumping a PCP cylinder to 190 bar!!! No one gives out how long it takes!

Mustard,

It is possible, on days where there is little, or no wind to interfere with the trajectory. It is not like i am trying to kill a buffalo.

All my shots have been witnessed by 2 - 3 others who are also very good air rifle users.

My air rifle is regularly chrono'd and is running at between 11 and 11.5 foot pounds. I chrono it every time before using it, just to check and maintain my legal power.

The secret to using a hand pump without the hard work is to pump it up sooner. Only max the shot count when out in the field and mobile; if you're at the range pump it back up every 30 shots and it's a doddle to keep charged.

I bought my S310 .177 from a work mate who has looked after it with love from day 1. My rifle package included an Air Arms silencer, Simmons 3x9x40 scope, quick fill coupling and a divers bottle - very good for the price i paid. Although i do not hold an FAC and therefore run at the 12 ft/lbs legal limit, i have managed to shoot and kill (first shot) crows and magpies out to about 65 yards, using Crossman Powapells. An Air Arms S310 is, in my opinion, one of the best pcp rifles to buy! (read more)

Yes, i would agree with everthing you have said about the S310 - a rifle which, in my view, is top of the tree!

I bought my Air Arms s310 air rifle secondhand, complete with 3-9 x 40 scope, silencer and bipod. Mine has a black stock and at first I thought it was polycarbonate or plastic, but it is actually beechwood. Using either accupell or powapell pellets, it is unstoppable up to 50 meters. If you are thinking of buying a precharged rifle, I would seriously consider the S310 or the newer S410 (read more)

You shouldnt be shooting at that range with a sub 12ftlb gun. Only up to 40 yards if your accurate enough to ensure a clean kill otherwise get a FAC and then you can shoot further if capable.

TURKEY I AM WITH YOUR EITHER A LUCKY SHOT OR YOUR VERY HANDY WITH A GUN TOM . I HAVE OWNED A AIRARMS S410 .177 IN BEACH BELIEVE ME ITS A NICER GUN IN WALNUT .BUT MOST OF THE THINGS YOU SAID ARE TRUE A VERY GOOD WORK HORSE ONLY TO BE TOPPED BY THE NICER LOOKING STOCK OF THE S410 YOU FORGOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT YOU CAN SHOT DRY IF YOU LOSE COUNT OF SHOTS A BIT OF A PAIN .

To be honest you can shoot out to 50 yards, at the recommended 40 yards an average .22 pellet has 6ft/lbs of power left and only 4.5 is needed to cleanly dispatch a fully grown buck rabbit. But this is only possible if you are a very good shot. I can only do this because I have been shooting since I was 7 and I now shoot at a world class standard at bisley.
