    Good Points: Beauiful surroundings and gardens, everything you need is within walking distance. Good beach close by and some nice tavernas. Rooms cleaned every day except at weekends. Nice pool area.

    Bad Points: No hot water. The only day we had hot water was the day after we complained, after that it was cold every morning and lukewarm in the evenings if you were lucky. The owners aren't very friendly if you don't spend a lot of money in their bar or if you complain about the lack of hot water! Kitchen very basic. Bathroom in need of some repair.

    General comments: This was our first stay at Jimmy's. After booking the holiday I read some of these reviews and was a bit worried about going and so went expecting the worst! It is basic and some of the bathroom fittings could do with replacing but it is decent accommodation for the price that we paid.The main problem was the lack of hot water. I think this wasn't due to any sort of fualt it was just because they didn't like turning the boiler on! This aside we had a nice stay, the local supermarkets are very expensive so we ate out all the time except for breakfast, plus the kitchen isn't really very well equiped.If they could sort out the hot water problem I would reccommend this place.

    We visited Jimmy's Studios for the 3rd time this year and again not disappointed by the warm friendly welcome you receive from the family.The rooms are what to be expected from greek accommodation, basic but well kept and cleaned daily. If you have not been to greece before, then make sure you don't expect too much from your accommodation.The hosts are the most wonderful people to look after you on your holiday. They don't speak english very well but are most hospitable people.I would recommend ...

    Extremely friendly, lovely and clean. Great pool. Nice and quiet but close enough for everything. Elvis lives on in Dimitri. Had a great greek night. Great food. All freshly cooked. Bit of a rough track but not far. Did not need a torch. Definitely one to return too. Long journey to Skiathos but well worth it.

    Having just returned from a weeks stay at Jimmy's studios Platanias, we have to say that its just about the worst accommodation we have ever had the misfortune to stay in. The room was dirty, the bathroom and "fittings" were in serious need of replacement., the only towels (2) supplied were the size of facecloths. And despite several complaints we had no hot water at all except for an hour between 5 and 6 in the evening. In the morning we had to stoop down in a disgusting grimy shower cubicle ...

    I am extremely surprised to read good reviews about these studios. I visited them recently and had to ask for a transfer almost immediately. Myself and my boyfriend booked a week here expecting a basic but clean, hospitable environment only to be incredibly disappointed. As I said above, the rooms were dirty, especially the bathroom.     On our visit Sept 07, nearly all the holidaymakers had been on previous visits no one had a bad word or comment about the place or people and after two weeks we joined the clan, excellent place, we want to go back, we didn't want to leave!

    Best holiday we've had and we have been to a few Greek islands. This place is family run, no stress, good people, would definitely go back to Platanias and Jimmy Studios.

    Everyone at Jimmy Studios in Skiathos will make you so welcome. They are great hosts! The studios are set in a peaceful area. People I found go back year after year, and I will go back again in the future.
