“Sooo disappointing - Legoland, Windsor”

Written on: 02/09/2014

We were over in Guernsey on holiday and planned to stop off at Legoland for a day on our return journey back to Scotland. We had a voucher from Kellogg's cereal which entitled us to one free grown up with one paying child or adult - therefore because we were a family of four (2 adults, 1 child and 1 infant) I booked an adult child online along with priority parking before we went on holiday - so that we would only have to pay a child fare on the day. On the day we set off from Weymouth early… Read Full Review

“Only for under 5 years old”

Written on: 13/06/2014 by Sanersen (1 review written)

We visited last week with my two children,12 and 8 years old, it was a very bad day. They did not get any fun because all the activities are for little children. It os not good to go ther for 1,5 hour jorney from london If your children are more than 5 years old. It was a disappointing day at all and we left after 2 our experience… Read Full Review

“Awful experience”

Written on: 02/06/2014 by 172Benson (1 review written)

What should be a pleasant experience quickly becomes a nightmare when you are stuck in a traffic jam to get in to the park. When you finally get in to the park, you are faced with more horrendous queues, most rides at least 1 hour and this was a day when a lot of schools have gone back after half term. Goodness knows what it is like at peak times. In the end we purchased a Q-bot (£45 for 3) but all this meant was that we could wait somewhere else instead of in line. We still had to wait… Read Full Review

just returned from Legoland could not agree more plus only two rides can accomodate children on laps(we have 11 month old baby and 3 and 8 year old children and could only go for a ride as a family in Atlantis and scenic train. queues were horrendeus....shame if they are not gready and have a limit on number of people per day it could have been a much nicer family day out.

“Just a waste of time and money”

Written on: 24/05/2014 by 94Garner (1 review written)

I went on 22nd May with the family which included 2 kids 8 and 9. This park is such a pale comparison to Disney and Universal. The entrance lacks any feel of excitement. It's a slight upgrade from Gullivers Land, which believe me is the pits. There just is no magic anywhere. The staff try their best, but the whole place is so boring. The rides in the main are dated, there is just no feeling of joy anywhere in the park. But the worst thing about Legoland is the FOOD. It is disgusting, it… Read Full Review

I can see how you got to feel like this. We waited well over an hour for the laser ride. There was a period of 20 minutes when the queue just stopped and a rope went up in front. No explanation and the Legoland guy just disappeared. No apology when he got back - just 'there was a technical fault'. Queues for loos , coffees etc. some machines broken. No seating next to concessions etc.

“Great if you like waiting all day to go on 2 rides”

Written on: 20/04/2014 by Maddox94 (1 review written)

To make your visit worth the price you pay, you will need to spend a whole week in the queues!! Too many people are admitted into the park. Sheer greed!! Kids complain, adults get frustrated, not a fun experience at all !!! Work it out ! The hours they are open. X the time you wait, x the rides you can go on ??? Rip off. Need to limit the amount of people they let in, instead of packing them in and counting the money!!! Also now charging for parking!!! Rip off… Read Full Review

“Explotative”

Written on: 18/04/2014 by KamrenTemple (1 review written)

We went on a sunny day in March. Queues started just off the M4. Took 40 mins from parking to gain entry due to queues at the entry gates. And the queuing doesn't end at the gate. Queuing for most rides was 60mins, and 100mins for some. The estimates times to get to the front are a joke, because of the Q-Bot system means those who can afford it in effect jump the queues. With a free adult ticket and 2 children, entry was almost £90. Add to that the cost of parking, the additional costs… Read Full Review

“Great if you like queuing!”

Written on: 18/04/2014

Disappointed that having paid extortionate entry fees only to find that at every ride we were met with huge queues which the rich (and the stupid) could jump by purchasing at great expense a q-bot ticket (legoland this is wrong...money should not buy you privilege- this is 2014!). Try explaining to your children who have queued for an hour for a 2 minute ride that people are allowed to push in (queue jump) because they have paid extra. Luckily we had the sense to take a packed lunch- the "food"… Read Full Review

“ rip off”

Written on: 10/12/2013

I booked a Santa Christmas experience at Legoland for four adults and a child.....total with transportation 210 pounds. When we arrived a spooky train without any lights took as to the ''destination'' which consisted in three rides,a chestnut seller,a very long queue to see Santa ,where one had to wait in cold for around an hour and a half, glasses filled half with hot drinks and a non functional Egyptian temple. The worst experience so far.....I advise anyone who wants to go not to do it. … Read Full Review

“NOT value for money”

Written on: 14/09/2013

I was extremely disappointed with the value for money. Tickets are expensive, food is poor and extremely expensive and there appears to be more shops than rides. On top of that, you purchase a parking ticket which they check before you leave the car park. As if they haven't taken enough of your money. If I had felt I had received value for money I would not have been so disgruntled about the demand for my parking ticket as I left. When it was time to eat we ordered at the restaurant in the… Read Full Review

“5 hours queueing for 10 minutes of rides”

Written on: 09/09/2013

Firstly, the children seemed to enjoy it, and we have to remember that is the main reason most people go to Legoland. However, even with vouchers to allow adults to enter free, it cost us well over £100 for our three children to enter. We arrived at opening time and left at closing time. With time for lunch we managed to get on just 4 rides throughout the day. These all involved queuing for around an hour in order to get what seemed like 1 - 3 minutes on a ride. They charge an extra £3 for… Read Full Review

“Great if you like Queuing”

Written on: 03/09/2013 by vaux (1 review written)

Really if you like paying a lot of money to stand in queues all day then this is for you. This was the worst day at a theme park out for us, we came all the way from Cornwall. After recently visiting Flambards I asked my 5 year old daughter "Whats best Flambards or Legoland?", she replied Flambards enough said. The rides were not a lot better, and the fact we had to wait around 60 minutes for a ride that lasted less than 5 was totally pathetic. Maybe it was our fault for going in August… Read Full Review

“Pathetic rip off. Waste of time.”

Written on: 29/08/2013 by brosgidi (1 review written)

From Enfield, took over two hours to get to the park. Then a queue of over one hour to get tickets in the heat. Despite having vouchers worth £99, still paid £70 for two adults and two kids. Then another hour and ten minutes queue to get on the first ride. For every ride, there was at least an hour queue, meaning we could only go on three rides for the whole 7 hours we were there. And these were mediocre 2-3 minutes rides. It was just ridiculous. Queues for everything - food, toilets… Read Full Review

“Oh dear.........”

Written on: 26/08/2013

If you can go during school term time, bring your own picnic and do not pay anywhere near the full price for a ticket, then maybe it's worth a shot. Otherwise, it's a disappointing nightmare. The rides are, frankly, pathetic. For example - the dinosaur "safari" - queue for an hour for a ride lasting 2 minutes past some plastic brick creatures. What museaum did they get these things from and how have they managed to stay open for so long? This is a classic example of greedy park owners… Read Full Review

“Never Ever Go To Legoland .... Ever!”

Written on: 23/08/2013 by wendy3kids (1 review written)

This was definitely the worst place I have ever been charged a fortune to go in. The owners are plain greedy. The allow far too many people in at once which diminishes everyone's experience. The place didn't even have enough benches to sit on. Something it could definitely do with. After queuing for an average of 1.5 hours for each ride and then queuing an hour to get put of the place just added insult to injury. There are no positive comments I can make about the place. Food was ridiculously… Read Full Review

Emma653765's Response to wendy3kids's Review

Written on: 25/08/2013

I agree! We spent 10hrs in the place and only managed to get on 7 rides! After queuing for 1hr 40mins for the log flume and then finally got near the from to only have to continue waiting whilst the people who had paid even more money for the Qbot to get on before us. My 5 year old son was very excited about going to the new splash valley water park but when we got there I have never experienced such a terrifying time! There were far too many children and adults in this part of the park that it was just dangerous. Due to the sheer amount if people we lost our son at least 3 times so we had to come away! It was also only supervised by one young girl who clearly could not control the children that kept climbing on things. I think what topped it off was visiting the 4D cinema only to find out that it was actually only 2D. The whole place is a rip off!
It's certainly not a place that I would visit again and it's such a shame as my son really loves his lego!

“Queue.queue...queue”

Written on: 14/08/2013 by oggiedoggie (2 reviews written)

legoland...oh dear. Their response to the queues...it is summer. Not an excuse...too many people for not enough rides. Their way in resolving a problem seems to build bigger queuing aisles for each ride and try to extort more money with a queue-bot, ....our experience today(Wednesday) 7hours 5 rides. Waiting for 90mins on 2of them and most were an hour wait. It's not a great experience when a 5 year old is keen to go on a ride but can no longer face another long queue.......great experience?… Read Full Review

“Don't bother!”

Written on: 13/08/2013

Well where do I start?! Firstly this place is way overpriced for nothing more than un-thrilling boring rides that you have to queue for up to an hour and a half to go on. We were at the park from 10am to 6pm and only managed to get on 5 rides all of which were over in a flash. If queuing for the rides wasn't bad enough there were queues for everything - drinks, food even a 20 minute queue for the toilet! There were far to many people in the park, pathways were difficult to access and we kept… Read Full Review

There yesterday and agree with everything you say. I would also comment that the are too greedy and stingy to put enough benches anywhere in the park. Rubbish place - my children ages 7, 10 and 11 NEVER want to go back
